30 November 2007 - My name is Melissa and my fiance and I are expecting our first baby on 11 Feb 2008. I am sooooo excited and cant wait to meet her already!! I was told at my 18 week scan that i have a low lying placenta and i go for another scan next week to see if it has moved. Fingers crossed it has moved up!!!

10 December 2007 - No more low-lying placenta! Hooray! I still need to see the specialist at 36 weeks to asses my cervix, but have a feeling all will be well. We saw some great pics of her when we went for the scan. She was sticking out her tongue then went to sleep! My profile pic shows her lips and nose quite clearly...so cute!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Thanks for your response. How long did it take for the poop to go back to normal. I've been doing the block feeding now for about 5 days, and the color is going back to yellow from green, but the mucs is still there.

Hey, I'm due on wednesday, and my baby is still high. My cervix is long and closed. I think it is normal for first time moms. Most don't walk around dialated.

Hi-this is also my first and baby is not engaged yet. I was not concerned at all because I didn't want baby to come before my mother arrived, but now my mother is here I have been trying to walk and do squats in order to encourage baby to drop!

I'm glad that she got the point. Some people just think that they are being funny. My father-in-law is a big jokester and everytime I see him he says, 'What have you been eating?!' I think it's hillarious. It seems that those kind of comments are funny coming from some people, and not from others - plus it depends on how they phrase it and the type of relationship you have. So glad to hear that you were able to take the high road and make your point tactfully! Good for you! I hope that the comments stop and that you are able to find some beauty in yourself during such an uncomfortable time. I know it's hard for me. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

when you two are just talking next time, tell her something like ' i feel so big, and with people making jokes about my size it is really painful and makesme sad and depressed' whenshe answers tell her 'you do it all the time and you are supposed to be my friend' and if she says 'you know i dont mean it' say 'i am pregnant and already feeling like crap, and it still hurts my feelings' I know how u feel. I am a fat girl without being pregnant that has struggles with weight since after my first baby. I got up to 327 pounds and had to endure nasty comments and stuff from my patients. i lost alot of weight over 140 pounds before i started fertility meds, and then got pregnant. i havent gained too much but i am sick of people saying stuff about my big belly. i feel like a whale that hasgotten stuck on a beach when i am trying to get out of bed. when people say things like that it either pisses me off to the point i wouldlike to injurethem, or makes me cry. i know how u feel.

It is hurtful when other people comment about how we look especially when we are so close to the end and we are worn out and probably take things to heart a little more. I mean our bodies have changed so much! i have a friends like that too ... she's 14 weeks preg and I can't wait till she gets to this stage !

Hi, hope I'm not being outaline here but...
I think it's okay if we (as pregnant women) make a joke about 'feeling' like a whale (I know i do at the moment & think i have a bit of a waddle too!). BUT It's just NOT NICE to call pregnant women fat! (especially by a so called 'friend'!).
For sure we've gained some weight (well, most of us), & have layed down some fatstores to help with breastfeeding, it's natural, natures way, & I think it's wonderful, primal, feminine, divine (in a mother goddess kind of way to look pregnant)I know my hubby kinda likes the extra curves too.
Be proud of the curves, I say!
If she's saying mean things re: you'r weight or shape I think she's the sad girl with insecurity problems of her own, & maybe is just jelous!
All the best with the rest of you'r pregnancy & be proud of you'r gorgeous baby bump belly :)

If your friend is heavier, as you said, it might make her feel good to see someone thinner than her looking heavy - even if it is with pg. I would kindly say, 'please don'e make comments about my weight, I'm insecure about it enough as it is.' or something along those likes. I don't think that she's meaning it to hurt your feelings. She's probably just trying to joke around with you and doesn't realize how it's affecting you. I don't think she's just being a b***h. Don't write her off for being insensitive. On another note - I DO feel like a whale lately, and my little girl has dropped, so I am majorly waddling. I'm looking forward to the end of this, because looking in the mirror is getting less fun! Hope everything works out with your friend and she's understanding!

I would call your midwife. It could be nothing but it could be a bladder infection. If it is a bladder infection, its not something you want to wait to find out about. Bladder infections that go untreated can cause contractions, preterm labor, etc. So I would have it checked out. If it's an infection, you take some pills for like 7 days and its gone. If it turns out to be nothing, then you can have some peace of mind and not worry about it anymore. Hope it goes well!
