Here are pictures taken at 29 weeks! It was amazing and we think he is soooo perfect! We also got to take home 62 pictures and a 25 minute video of our u/s session! He was 16.5 inches long and 3.5 pounds!

Well, My husband and I got married Oct 2007 and found out we were pregnant Jan 2008. We are so excited! Our due date is my husbands birthday. WHAT A GREAT DAY! This is our first child.

hmm.. have you tried name websites to look for something similar? If you go to google and search for "boy names" you can pick and choose from thousands of names. Thats pretty much what i did. I went thru just about every Irish boy name, wrote down the ones i loved, then used process of elimination and got Aidan.

I love the name Elliot, I never thought of it being shortened to Eli, my oldest is Eli, not short for anything, just Eli. hee hee Elliot is very cute. Good Luck

Hey....I just saw your post and noticed that you are from Cincinnati.....I am located here too! I think the name Elliot is good name.....and that you really dont need to shorten it. We are having a boy too and we are naming him Jackson....and hoping that it stays that way but I am sure it will be shortened to Jack.

I love the name Elliot Jaxon. Very original, but not too funky. And I love Eli and Jax for nicknames too. Either one would be great. I don't think you should search for any other names!

Hey, love the name Jaxon so much!!! I do agree that Elliot reminds me of ET although it would change when you see him and give your son the name. The ncikname Elie sounds feminine to me. What about reversed??? Jaxon Elliot?

I wanted Elliot for my baby's name! It reminded my husband of ET too.. LOL.. but i thought it was cute. Jaxon is pretty cute.. and i like the idea of calling him Jax.

My husband picked Timothy.. i hated it at first because i cant stand the nickname Tim. But after the U/S, i put a pic of his face by my monitor at work and he looked more and more like a Timothy. I really like the meaning too..

If i remember correctly, Elliot has a good meaning... and it's not all that popular so it would be unique! :)

Elliot didn't make me think of ET at all. Some people in our generation may make the connection but I don't think you will have to worry about his peers. Unfortunately our children probably won't know anything about ET. I like the nickname Eil.

Okay, right away I think of ET too. But if I had a baby face to go with the name then I wouldn't even think of it. My favorite nickname is Eli because people would know where the nickname comes from. If it came from his middle name, people wouldn't understand why you call him Jax when his name is Elliot. Like my doctor just told me, no matter what you name him, that name will fit him for the rest of his life and there will be no other name that will seem to fit after he's named.

I think the name is great. I really love the nickname Jax. We are naming our son Zephan (zef-en) with a the middle name Lee. Thats my middle name but also my sisters first name. Good luck on name picking.

mel, I think Eli is a very cute nickname, and I didn't connect Elliot to ET until you mentioned it. Anyway not many kids will make that connection by the time he gets to school. Another close suggestion would be Elijah, a name we breifly considered
