Hi my name is Melissa and my husbands name is Dave. We have a little girl, Emily who's 2 1/2. We didn't expect to get pregnant with her.. I was one of the few(or many) who got pregnant on BCP's. We got married on July 7th, 2007. and have be actively trying for number 2 since. I have been of BCP since May last year and I even went onto fertility friends to help us concieve. Well it didn't do that but I made a lot of friends and definately learnt alot about my body that I didn't know before! Well I decided to through it all in, in march. I figure if it wasn't happening without BCP's I should just give up and wait the year and then decide where to go from here. Well low-and-behold, her I am... pregnant! I guess I was stressing myself out more than what i thought with "tryin" soo hard!

June 4th

Today I had my first appointment. Nothing out of the ordinary, just the regular bloodpressure and weigh-in. I had gained a few extra pounds but not alot so she wasn't too concerned! She told me that my chances of having twins are still there but because the twins are on my dad's side it was less likely, to have twins because it is usually maternally carried down. They also couldn't get me in for an ultrasound until Sept 2nd

June 6

today I had a little bit of spotting so I called the doctor and now have another appointment on the 9th. It wasn't accompanied with cramps but with a yellow-ish discharge so they want to check it out ASAP! ( Sorry may be TMI)

June 9

Well the appoinment today I think went farily well! She wasn't too concerned about the spotting because it was only once and not accompanied but cramps. So now I have to do another urinalis' and I get another ultrasound this time earlier they want to do it between 12-16wks. So they are going to try an get one booked in but because ultrasounds are so booked up it will be hard so I am waiting for the phone call!

June 25th

Well on the 19th I had my dr. appointment with my regular dr. Finally! Everything is going great and normal! they didn't book the ultrasound so I got Dr. Ingram to book one for me and I have it on the 17th of July! I then have to go in at 16weeks to get a needle! She even did the pap smear! So everything is up to date! She will be leaveing though in the beginning of Augest so we aren't too sure if I have to look for another Dr. or if I can just start seeing my OBGYN! I guess I will have to wait and see!

July 16th

well this months been super unbearable! I can't breath and I am so sore/achy all over and today I was also getting the hot and cold chills and then a ear ache I thought that I was getting the flu! I ended up sleeping with 2 hot water bottles! It really sucked

July 17th

Today we had our 1st Ultrasound! There's only 1! The baby really didn't want to co-operate with us very well! We got to see the b-hind the most! Every once in a while we would have a 2-sec window to see the face! Heart beat is at 148bpm. My due dat is right on and we found out that it's little feet are 5 mm! Soo Tiny! Can't wait until our next ultrasound on the 2 of Sept! It seems that it's so far away! I want to by a machine and keep it in my bedroom!

Nov 2nd

I haven't updated in a while. So I guess I better start. Things have been going not too bad, but definately not great! We had found out that my mother in law had breast cancer and it was wanting to spread, but she got it removed and she's good with it not cemo needed or anything, but she found out more problems. And around the same time I found out out that my mom is having problems too at first the thought that it was stomach cancer but the pretty much well ruled that out now but they still don't know what is wrong with her. My uncle to whom I was close to had passed away and my job has been extremely stressfull. My OBGYN don't think that I am growing enough and I am seeing her every 2 weeks for about a month now. I am RH neg and need the WinRho and I need to get my Glucose tolerence test done but the lab in my town doesn't do it so I have to find somewhere else to go because they cancelled my appointment but wont make another one and are telling me that I need to do this asap! I also have a couple of moles that have grown outragiously and they want to remove them asap as well because, they said "they don't look to good and need to be tested!" and to top it off I am in a wedding in Augest of next year and I love this girl to death, we've been friends forever and she was my maid of honor. But she wants to go and get our dresses next week and I am huge and don't know what size I will be in Augest... How could I know?... Well sorry for the long vent... this is only some of it but I need to get to bed so I can work in the morning!
