i wouldnt worry about that. my dr. did an ultraosound at the hospital and said that i had a bit of tiisue left but it should come out on its own... and it did. well i assume it did because there was still some after i came back from the hospital. anyway, AF came a couple of weeks ago so i assume my hcg levels dropped. i had them checked when they said it was 19 but i didnt get it done after that. figured it was dropping so i was good. anyway, sorry if this is TMI...lol.

well thats good that you are not getting your hopes up yet. are you planning on trying again? if so good luck. i was thinking last night and the first appt. i had after i lost the baby was 2 weeks later. may have been 3. but my level at that point was 74. so yours sound about like mine was. good luck with everything.

i ask because i had an ectopic pregnancy in october. i went to the ER and had it delt with there. i new i was pregnant because i had taken a test and there was pain without bleeding 2 weeks late. anyway, it was treated with methotraxate because it was small enough and i had to take blood tests EVEY WEEK until it was 0. 5 wasn't even good enough. so they monitored me. the fact that they did not monitor your progress bothers me. they should have. they definately should check you hcg on monday and you really should have an ultrasound as well, especially if your level is on the rise. i got pregnant 2 mos later (i had hit 0) and was totally paraniod that i would have another ectopic. i went in and had the ultrasound to check at 6 weeks. all was well. if your level has dropped, i feel they should monitor you to 0. what if you still have tissues in there? that is the point isn't it?....keep me posted. well wishes your way. :)

Sorry for your loss.
I saw your question about the level 60! That is hopefully wonderful! I got pregnant the very next month after loosing one, so it is possible! ( unfortunately I lost that one too but I have progesterone and clotting issues :-( ) any way all the best. Are they going to do an ultrasound? Let us know how you go. Prayers to you. :-)

questions:::
did the hospital take a urine sample to verify the pregnancy?
your blood tested 60 for the hcg- is this the first blood test you have had since the d&c? if not, how many have you had and what were the counts?
have you had sex and could be pregnant?
have you taken a pregnancy test?

Very sorry about your loss, I had a miscarriage in 2006, I know how you feel. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. If I can give you any advice it would be to just nurture your relationship, I found my BF and I fighting a lot afterwards and it took a while before we could even think about trying to concieve again. And then when we did, it was really scary. We didnt tell anyone until after the 1st trimester. good luck to you.

Sorry for your loss! :( When I had my m/c/d/c in aug I bled very lightly for a few days. AF returned exactly 8 weeks.

Hi, after my first one I bled for a week and the second one just a couple of days. It depends how rigorous the D&C was. Normally after such an early loss I would guess at about a week tops x

What makes a mother?

I closed my eyes and prayed to God today. I asked what makes a Mother and I know I heard Him say, A Mother has a baby. This we know is true. But God, can you be a Mother when your baby's not with you?'Yes you can!', He replied with confidence in His voice, 'I give many women babies, when they leave is not their choice.'Some I send for a lifetime and other's for a day. And some I send to feel your womb but there's no need to stay. I just don't understand this God, I want my baby here. He took a breath and cleared His throat and then I saw a tear. 'We go to earth to learn our lessons of love and life and fear. My Mommy loved me oh so much I got to come straight here. I feel so lucky to have a Mom who had so much love for me I learned my lesson very quick My Mommy set me free. I'll miss my Mommy oh so much but I'll visit her each day. When she goes to sleep on her pillow is where I will lay. I'll stroke her hair and kiss her cheek and whisper in her ear, Mommy don't be sad today I'm your baby and I'm here So you see my dear sweet one, your child is OK. Your baby is here in my home and this is where he'll stay. he'll wait for you with me until your lesson is through. And on that day that you come home he'll be at the gates for you. So now you see what makes a Mother. It's the feeling in your heart. It's the love you had so much of right from the very start.

Your poem really touched my heart. I went through a M/c back in Oct. I am now almost 20 weeks into a pregnancy that happend within 6 weeks of it. I am still a nervous wreck everyday praying that everything will be ok. I was 11 weeks along when i had mine. I know what you are feeling. I promise with time it will get better. You will never forget, but it will get better. God Bless!
