Tuesday, 27 May I have never had this but my mom keeps telling me about how awful it is!! I feel really bad for you and hope they get that baby out so you can get some relief!! GOOD LUCK! prego1018 -
Monday, 26 May My poor husband, I'm CRAVING donuts. I don't even like donuts. We have no donut shop in all of downtown Denver so he is driving to the suburbs to get me some. I don't even know what kind I like. Spinkles? Hmmm...
How are you??? prego1018 -
Sunday, 25 May Oh my gosh, you are going to have your baby soon! I'm so happy for you , but so jealous at the same time! So, when you were contracting regularly, did you feel them? I'm starting to forget what they feel like. I think my stomach gets hard on and off, but then again, I feel like it just could be my baby in a weird spot.
Such a crazy night for you! Nothing went on here. Watched a bad movie from Netflix, that of course I picked out based on reviews. No contractions that I am noticing. My husband decided that since we don't think that anything is happening, he is safe to go skiing today. So, he is off skiing, which kinda makes me want something to happen, because how can a guy tell what is going on with your uterus, ya know? I'm just getting impatient, and I feel a bad attitude approaching which is ridiculous. I don't need that! I should be happy that my baby is full term and gave me no trouble and is healthy, but here I am impatient instead. Maybe I need a nap too.
I just can't wait to go in on Wednesday to see if anything has happened at all, and get my membranes stripped again. prego1018 -
Sunday, 25 May Wow, you were on a cleaning spree! My husband cleaned up a bit last night while I picked up my friend from the airport. It was nice coming home to that. I spent one day cleaning but that's it. I have been too tired, none of that nesting stuff going on here!!!
Sounds like you had a long day. Did you just pass out last night? I was up a few hours in the middle of the night then slept in until 11. I don't remember the last time I slept that late, my husband was almost proud of me! I also already had a nap today. If you are suppose to have a burst of energy before labor, then labor is no where in my near future!
Doing anything this weekend?
Oh, my carne asada came out sooooo good! It was my first time making it, and it was a hit! prego1018 -
Saturday, 24 May Oh yeah, I meant to tell you, my doctor wouldn't do an internal on me until well into week 37. So far the membrane strip hasn't done much. I'm guessing I'll get another one next week. Heard they don't work unless your body is about ready for labor anyway. Don't think mine is even thinking about labor yet. :( prego1018 -
Saturday, 24 May Man, I am soooo tired today! I can not shake it! I took a nap, woke up showered, when grocery shopping. Usually one of those will wake me up a bit. I feel like I can just drop to whatever surface I'm standing on and pass out cold. Grrrr. Also a friend of mind is suppose to fly in today but didn't make her first flight, and now might not get in until like 11pm and leaves tomorrow at 10am! I love her, but I will also get to see her Sunday, so just not looking forward to a long late drive to the airport. Oh well.
So far I love the wii fit. The games crack me up. The aerobic games so far aren't very challenging, but the rest are a blast. There is this hula hoop one that cracks me up, and this other one where it's like you are standing on this suspended platform with balls on it, and a hole to put those balls in. You have to shift your weight to get the balls in the hole, but not fall off the side. It sounds weird but is sooo fun!!!
Going to make some carne asada marinade now. Wish me luck. Haha.

Friday, 23 May Hey! How are you feeling and how are things going? Is your hubby home yet?
So, my husband came home with a present for me... The Wii and Wii fit! I have never played and it is sooo fun! The Wii fit is the best! It has all these fun balance games, I love it! We played for like four hours tonight! It kept me entertained today, so I hope it can make the days go by faster, and give me some exercise to speed things up!
Ok, update me! prego1018 -
Thursday, 22 May Ok, it does not sound stupid to want something to happen just to deliver, because this IS uncomfortable! It's HARD not getting any sleep, peeing every five seconds, having back pain, not able to paint your own toe nails, all that stuff! I feel you! But, once something does go wrong, I'm guessing you just wish that it didn't happen and everything is going healthy, so I try to keep thinking about that!
Alaska? Awesome! My husband would be so jealous! He wants to live in Alaska! My uncle actually lives there and I have never been, can you believe that?
So, went to the doctors today, get this... 1cm dilated and 60% effaced. I'm sooo excited. I was so sure nothing was going on down there. So she did a sweep of my membranes. We'll see if that causes some contractions to speed things up a bit! Yay!!
I feel like I had something else to tell you, but I'm blanking right now... oh well!
Hope your day is going well!!! prego1018 -
Wednesday, 21 May Sorry everything stopped in L&D! No labor for you at least until Thursday night when your husband is home!!! I feel you on the wanting to be induced thing, and it being good that nothing is wrong, because hey, nothing is wrong, but at the same time, that means we wait! However, I would rather wait then have what you had last time! Horrible itching all over! I heard of that before, it sounds terrible!!! Good thing you don't have that this time around!
So, remember all that good sleep I was talking about? I knew it wouldn't last ! Two nights was a pretty good run if you ask me though! Oh well. Of all the nights to sleep through the night, last night should of been it. So, whatever!
Staying with the inlaws, that's funny. Well, all of my family are far away. Sad. My family is in California, and his in New York. The moms want to fly in after I have the kid, so we will see.
Man, I am hungry all the time, it's getting a little ridiculous! I had two snacks in the middle of the night, and a bowl of healthy cereal just now. Waiting for the hubby to wake up before I start banging pans around to make eggs. I will be excited when I'm not constantly needing to stuff my face!
Where are you going on your cruise? We are planning a NY trip, and hopefully a Caribbean trip late August. I'm excited! prego1018 -
Wednesday, 21 May So, guess where I went today... Old Navy! Hahaha. Went to see my husband at work and have lunch and we passed by the mall where he works and I found one. I also had a$50 gift cert. for there from like 3 years ago! So, I bought the baby a few things (that were totally cute) and my hubby. I kinda went over $50 though, oops.
How are you??? prego1018 -
Tuesday, 20 May Hey girly!
So, why were you induced last time? Sometimes I wish that my blood pressure would raise or something so i could be induced, but all signs are still normal for me. I actually think I'm going backward. My baby gets higher and higher, no joke, my blood pressure gets lower, my fake contractions have all stopped, my hips never hurt, no odd feelings, night number 2 of good sleep. I don't get it! I'm NEVER going into labor!!!
When does your hubby get back? That would be my luck too that I go into labor while my husband is gone. Good thing he isn't too far. If needed here are even flights from LA to SD, so he could make it in time for your labor! At least he's not in New York or anything!
So, I think I am going to clean today. I don't want to, and I am definately not nesting, but since I have energy and no plans, I might as well. Don't think I'll get that nesting thing at all, so might as well do it on a good nights sleep right? (I still can't get over that I'm sleeping, it's sooooooo odd!!!!!!!)
I came to Denver for my husband. Met him through a friend that lived here and liked him the first second I saw him. We couldn't have a more corny relationship, I love it. He is from NY and came here with a bunch of friends from college. Someone said that they should take a trip to Denver because they have good skiing, and they never left. Funny huh? My husband hasn't seen too much of the states, and I'm trying to get him to travel and broaden his view I guess. He was soo set on Denver being the best, but he hasn't even been to many other cities. There are sooo many great places out there!
So last week of work? Are you excited? Funny that you hope to go into labor before you have to finish everything! haha. Any plans for this weekend? I'm trying to figure out what we can do so I can keep my mind off this kid! alexikins -
Tuesday, 20 May Hi there, I also leak clear fluid. I was checked because of this two weeks ago, and last week, Dr said everything was fine that this was normal some women just do. It couldn't hurt to give your Dr a quick call and let them know whats going on. I also was induced with my other child when she stayed two weeks over! Good luck, and baby kisses! prego1018 -
Monday, 19 May Good morning! Sorry you couldn't sleep! That has been me this entire pregnancy EXCEPT last night which is sooo weird! I feel great! I forgot what sleeping longer than one hour in a row feels like. I know that I would get more sleep with a newborn than I am right now. I really would get tops an hour and a half in a row, officially be up by 3, try to take a nap during the day that would maybe go over an hour, and people wonder why at this point we want our boys out of our bodies soo bad!
I heard Old Navy has cute baby clothes, but I have not seen an Old Navy in Denver yet. Isn't that odd? Old Navy's are EVERYWHERE! Haven't seen one!
Yeah, couldn't see raising a kid in downtown Chicago, but we are having the same problem here. Lol. Colorado is a great state, and very family oriented. I'm not the biggest fan because I am also a warm weather girl, and I'm ALL about water sports. (From Cali, lived on an island for a few years, so...) There isn't much to do here in terms of scuba diving , windsurfing, kiteboarding, so I miss all that. Anyway, we live in a highrise downtown. There is not one kid in the building! No yard, just a little balcony that our kid could potentially crawl right off of! I LOVE it here, feel super safe, but it's not the most ideal place to raise kids. We are looking for homes, but we want to keep this and rent it out. My husband also might have a career change, so we are even up to looking at other places to live including the island I once lived on. I would be sooo happy there, but not sure if there is good job opportunities for my husband. Decisions, decisions... My husbands sister actually lives in San Diego so it would be cool if we could move there, be closer to my family and part of his, but he hates California politics and stuff like that, so, boo.
Sounds like you have it made job wise! It will probably be hard at first to get adjusted with two, but then they will have each other to play with, and that will be nice. I used to teach aerobics and would like to go back to doing that. It's super part time, not much money to be made, but it's fun, and there is free daycare for the instructors. Before I got pregnant I was a flight attendant, but I could never go back to that. It was fun, but I couldn't do it with kids!
Ok, now this is really long, lol! prego1018 -
Monday, 19 May I lived in Bucktown/Wicker Park off the blue line in Chicago. I was there for about a year and half I think 2006ish? Way fun, cool city, lots of culture!
Yeah, Gymboree doesn't have much either for boys, but is there a Pumpkin Patch in San Diego? The only store I found that has cool clothes for a decent price. A ton of surfer boy things out right now. I always end up spending money there! Check them out!
So, I discovered I am the WORST sew person in history. I made a pocket! That's it, A POCKET! It's sooo bad! I was asking the teacher if she wanted to keep it as a shining example of how to sew for her future students... she just laughed. :( But, I can improve, right? The only thing positive to say about my creation is that there is different stitching and I'm not so sure that is a positive thing, lol! However, it was fun to get out and have something to do. This time seems to be going by sooo slowly now!!! Might as well practice my fashionista sewing skills! hahaha

Sunday, 18 May Guessing a boy by the room... prego1018 -
Sunday, 18 May Three weeks early? I wish I would go three week early, that would be right now!!! I'm convinced he is going to stay past his due date, WAY past his due date! Oh well. I was getting really impatient until I saw a sad/gross Maternity Ward episode, and now I want him to come whenever he feels like, I'm just thankful he is healthy!
What part of Texas? I've been to Austin and San Antonio about a million times. I also lived in Chicago, Buck Town. Loved it!!! I actually miss it there as well, a little too gloomy all the time though.
So, I'm going to a sewing class today. I think my friend got the dates wrong and I have a feeling it was yesterday and we missed it, we'll see. I want to learn how to sew cool onsies for my boy out of old concert t-shirts and stuff like that. Boy stuff is usually so baby-ish, and if it isn't, it cost $50 for one shirt he will throw up on and grow out of in a month. Do you know what you are having? prego1018 -
Saturday, 17 May I love San Diego too! Are you from there? You look familiar for some reason. Hmmm???
I'm from L.A., lived in a few cities around the US, but currently live in Denver. I moved here about a year ago when I married my hubby. Most of my friends are in the L.A. area, and all my family is there, so I like to go there often. Even had my baby shower there! I ran the L.A. marathon a few times, and want to make sure I have an L.A. trip planned FOR SURE, and by signing up for that I know I'll get to be there in March! So, it's the little things I can do that will make home visits more often, ya know?
Thanks for that site, I'm going to check it out. The one that we almost bought is $600!!! Whoa, and that is without any attachments, but it seems like I'll save money in the end. Another $100 makes it a double and you can't beat that!
How is your pregnancy going so far? Mine has been boring, which is good, but really NOTHING to spice up my files. Lol prego1018 -
Saturday, 17 May I just told my husband what you said about that stroller. He loves that one. We just might have to make a purchase! I want to start hard core running again once I'm able to, as in, run L.A.'s marathon in March, and maybe one sooner...So, the stroller part is a big deal!
Hope your Friday is going well! prego1018 -
Friday, 16 May Yeah, let me know. I've tried them in the stores, and they steer great and all that, but I head once that while jogging your knees can hit the back at times, especially when the second seat is in. So, not sure, but in terms of every other aspect, I love them and probably would of let my husband impulse buy it last week (He was on the verge!) . haha. prego1018 -
Friday, 16 May Saw your post about the Phil and Ted. I really want a jogger, and my husband LOVES the Phil and Ted. I love the look of it, but am not sure if it would be a decent jogger. Are you using it as a regular stroller? A jogger? Let me know how you like it, we haven't made a decision yet!
