Sunday, 12 October Hey. LOL you are right, my son grabbing things, well not things, only my hair. It hurts too, he gets a really good grip. I wish he would grab his toys the way he grabs my hair. He swats at them but thats it. He doesnt roll at all, in fact i have never seen him even attempt, and he absoultly screams bloody murder if you put him on his tummy which is whyi think his neck muscles might seem a little weak. Ohhh well, he will do stuff on his own time. Im in no rush as babies is such a small stage of their life, he has his whole life to walk and hold his head up and go on his tummy so im enjoying the time that hes so dependent on meeee makes me feel special lol stacey617 -
Saturday, 11 October Well, so far no spitting up with the Gentlease, still has some gas and some serious messed up sleep, but I just don't know. Did you switch him to Good Start cold turkey or did you wait a week or so? I just dont know if I should wait with this one for a couple weeks to see if it helps.... stacey617 -
Saturday, 11 October His Dr. started him on regular Enfamil Lipil, but we then switched to Enfamil Gentlease and he's been on that for 2 days so hopefully HOPEFULLY this will work after a couple weeks, if not, I'll try something else. I hate to keep switching it up on him, his poor tummy, but I hope to find the right one. Thanks for all the help! kristalsfirst -
Friday, 10 October Thanks for your comment on baby development. I always feel worried cuz my baby doesnt like tummy time, doesn't roll over, the most he has learned is how to smile and swat at toys. Upon occasion he will grab them but thats it. Then i go on here and see that peoples babies are doing this and that and i feel like shit. Your post made me feel better. thanks for sharing :) marina10 -
Friday, 10 October Hi. You made me feel a whole lot better after I read your comment. Just like your baby mine just started smiling and cooing last week. There I was thinking something might be wrong. Thanks.

Friday, 10 October Thank you. I'll try not to worry too much. Also...I will talk to the physical therapist that comes out once a month for evaluations on her development. I guess I'm just a little more worried because she was 3 months early and we have had no problems with her health so far, but I still pray everyday that she remains this way. stacey617 -
Friday, 10 October Okay thank you! Did you notice a change in BM? He used to go about 3 or 4 times a day on breastmilk and now it's only once a day. Is that normal or did that happen with your baby? I will just wait it out, it's only been about a 8 days since I started the formula, I just feel like his sleep schedule is going backwards! Thanks for the help Parkersmommy1 -
Wednesday, 8 October thanks for the info. now they told my mom it wasnt a major heart attack, but it was a heart attack mommy2dallas -
Sunday, 5 October I started reading the book Babywise before my son was born. It makes alot of sense and I have friends who swear by it. I am trying to do what it says, but its hard when your baby just doesn't do it. It is definately worth reading though!! MommyNWifey22 -

Monday, 29 September i know, everyone seems to have conflicting advice about everything. i live in a really hot, humid climate, so his pediatrician recommends up to 3oz of water per day. some days he hardly drinks any and some days more. sometimes he gets a little constipated too, and he likes drinking water and as soon as he drinks a little, he poops.

Monday, 29 September my son is 11 weeks and still eats from one breast or around 3-4 ounces of formula every 1-2 hours during the day. its tiring, i know. i think boys just need to feed more often. but we've starting giving him water or the pacifier to tide him over. sometimes he just has a need to suck and isn't really hungry. i'm hoping soon they'll be going longer between meals! jasmineflower -
Friday, 26 September Thanks for your response. I am glad to know that I am not the only one struggling to get everything done. Oh I am so sorry your little one has colic! That must be tough! My baby likes to be held a lot too. So when she is alseep I run around the house like a madwoman to get stuff done. Or sometimes I just sleep!!! Hang in there the colic can't last much longer! Wednesday, 24 September Morgan was very chatty this morning, my husband & i were laughing at some of the noises. Putting a change table upstairs would be a great idea, not to mention safe you time. Being a mum is full on but i love it, when he smiles it makes all the early starts worth it.. Nesspop -
Tuesday, 23 September I feel the same way, we are moving house next week & I am not sure when I will move my little boy into his own room. He is noisy when he sleeps, more so in the early hours of the morning. He only wake once a night so that first block of sleep he is pretty quiet, its in the dawn hours he makes most of his noises. I have a monitor but in the back of my head i think, what if it doesnt work
I am sure i will hear him crying, but he talks when he wakes & i dont want him to have to cry for me to hear him... I am sure our babies will be fine in their own rooms, they probably think we are noisy when we sleep :)... let me know how you go. saabgirl88 -
Monday, 22 September thank you for your reply on Emily spitting up, so far it looks like she is allergic to milk. We are going to do an upper GI if cutting all milk out of my diet and taking lactaid doesn't help. Thank you again! pjs1071 -
Monday, 22 September I've been gradually putting my daughter (5 weeks) into her crib for naps during the day. I want her to get used to it, but I also want to get used to it too...I think if she does ok during the day, there is no reason she shouldn't do ok at night. We did that alot with the vent dependent kids I used to take care of...kind of a "step down" at home!! (I think it was more for the parents than the kid!!

Friday, 19 September Thanks for the advice. We are driving across country (from California to Ohio) I think the nursette bottles are an excellent idea! Thanks again. fisheagle74 -
Thursday, 18 September I am so sorry your baby is not happy... my daughter is also feeding every 2 hours during the day. She takes one long nap during the day but other than that she is feeding all the time. It is normal. lynnerbugs1 -
Wednesday, 17 September I am on the Mirena and I LOVE it!!! You don't have to worry about it for 5 years, it slows your period down ( i never wear tampons or pads b/c I no longer need them b/c of light periods) I love having birth controll that I never have to think about! MommyNWifey22 -
Sunday, 14 September They all had/have very bad GERD (Where everything they eat comes back up and into thier lungs) They were born without the flap that holds your food and drinks down. My oldest daughter has it but not as bad she has the flap it just doesn't close all the way..she is on meds for the rest of her life for it. My other 2 had to have the surgery but were WAY older then Sarah is! It's already a very risky surgery and her age makes it even more! We have been in and out of docs offices and hosp since she was born. She stops breathing a lot and she isn't gaining weight. The last x-ray of her lungs showed so fluid but not a lot. She is on 4 different meds and speacial formula and added rice in her bottles and nothing is working! Without this surgery she will die. So please have everyone you know pray for her!!!!! Ok now what they do during surgery is they take her stomach and wrap it around her esophagus which when full will clamp the esophagus close therefore not letting anything up! I hope I explained that good!
