I have two children, Victoria was born in 2005 and was a baby who was advanced with everything she did. Words at 6 months, crawled early and walked at 10 months by 1 she was taking in sentances.Eddie was born 2007 and at 4 months we noticed that something was not right. He could not hold his head up and would not give eye contact. I thought he was blind. We went to the Area health nurse who sent us to see a Paediatrician who did some test. The results came back and we were shocked, Eddie had Trisomy 12p Mosaic (an extra Chromosome 12 of the short arm). My husband and I were both tested and and our results showed no abnormalties. Eddie is a wonderful very happy one year old. Lots of Physio, OT, Speech Therapy.These are two very loving children who make us very happy.

He is absolutely adorable. I love the glasses he looks like such and intellectual boy. You inspire me. I give you a lot of credit. Not many people can handle things like that. When did you find out he would have this disorder? Was not till after he was born or did you know before that.

Hi. Thank you so much for taking the time to write me. I saw this a few days ago, but it has taken me some time to write back. I am still in a state of debelief and confusion. Your email was hopeful. Our ultra sound was normal and our original cvs results were normal. they gave us late results only recently that showed that the placenta has trisomy. i took an amnio and just got my results confirming this. have you met other families in your position? how is your son doing doing now? i thank you for your honestly and taking the time to write me.
