Hi everyone ive given birth to my little girl... 3 days past her due date 'Shayla maree' was born 15th May at 4:40am weighing 7lb 10oz..Luckily my husband convinced me to go to the hospital otherwise i would of given birth at home.Pics and birth story are up.. goodluck to you all that are still waiting i hope all goes well...and thankyou for your support over the last 9months

Hi everyone thankyou for visiting my page!! My name is michelle and i am 26 years old . I have 3 beautiful children Clayton, Alisha and Shayla.. Im a stay at home mum and they keep me on my toes!!! But i love being a mum..My husband who is a hands on dad is studying psychology and works at a hotel. So we are very busy but we wouldnt have it any other way.

Previous labours

2003-My first pregnany i went into labour christmas night,it must of been all the good food! At the time i wasent married and fraser and i didnt live together.Our first was a pleasant suprise.Fraser was staying the night and he fell asleep.I started getting pains,i woke him up and he thought i was just complaining as i was a few days ago[typical male] He woke up an hour later and i rang the hospital and they said to take a bath and try and stay home for as long as possible. I went thru the night with pains i could handle and by the morning they started to get intense.I took a bath,i was in there for hours i loved it.By that time my mum came over and they were chatting in front of me trying to remember the number for pizza for lunch,in the middle of a contraction i yelled 13 11 66,it was a classic moment.Mum asked if i wanted to go to hospital to see how far along i was.I was happy to stay at home but since it was my first i thought why not.I got there to find i was only 3cm dilated.They said i could stay,so i just walked thru the labour wards and tried to stay active as i got told my baby was posterior[when baby has its back of its head pressing against the rear boundary of the pelvis,also known as back labour] when i finally had the urge to push and he started to crown the midwife told me the cord was stuck around his neck. fraser wanted so badly to cut the cord but he came out blue. His apgar score to start with was 3. He was fine they cut the cord[fraser cried] and he was born 11.15pm boxing day. A 23 hour labour no drugs.I had a few stitches. Clayton Peter weighed 8lb 1. He was 5 days late

2006-My second pregnancy i was GBS positive[group b strep]so i got told when i go into labour i had to straight away so they could give me antibiotics.I was having pains on and off a few days before.At 1.30 am i felt a tinkle of water in my undies .I thought thats wierd so i turned to my husband fraser[we got married march 25th 2006,i was 6 months pregnant] and said i think its time,i think my waters broke.I got out of bed and yep a big gush. My mum was going to look after clayton so i rang her and she came around.We went to the hospital and thats when my contractions started.They gave me a drip in my hand that had the antibiotics and was given a room.I again had back labour but the midwife told me not to worry they can turn at the last minute.The midwife went out of the room and the pain started to get intense,at one stage i thought id need drugs but i got thru it.Then bang i had the urge to push,i told fraser to get the midwife now! I pushed and she was easy she just came out.Alisha Michelle weighed 9LB 1. No stitches,no drugs. 3 and a half hour labour. She was 3 days late.

WEEK 38

• I went for my appointment today and everything looks good.She is still very low which i know as ive been getting so much pressure down there,sometimes i feel like im going to wee myself and last night the pressure was in my bum too. Ive been having sharp pains on and off that only last a couple of seconds then goes.Ive also been having period pain but without the pain,just the feeling u get before you get your period..fun... im so over it, trying to keep busy to pass the time.She is still active, last night when i was trying to sleep she was moving around none stop for like an hour!

WEEK 39!!!

• Im tired(not sure why since im going to bed early, must be those trips to the bathroom) and have been moody the last couple of days..i feel sorry for my husband and kids who are getting the raw end of the deal..Im exicted and looking forward for things to get started but i also said to myself that ill enjoy this last week(which is hard when u feel so uncomfortable)I went for my check up today an everything was good.. My OB said shes very low which she has been for ages but at least i know its just 'when she's ready'which could be anytime.I have something planned everyday this week so my mind is pre-occupied and im not sitting around waiting & thinking 'is today the day'
