This is our first pregnancy! Rob and I are very excited! We are lucky to have two other friends who are also expecting in the same month as us. May should be exciting!

Monday, 5 May Contractions will feel like some is squeezing your insides but they will get painful. If they do not hurt than it is BH. This is my first so I was a little confused also. My doc told me today that once I am in pain tot he point I cannot walk, then it's time to come to the hospital. She said that you will know when it's the real thing. Good luck! MonikaOH -
Friday, 2 May You can also get MAM bottles on Amazon. I used Prime so shipping was free. Take care! MonikaOH -
Thursday, 1 May Hi,
Avent bottles have BPA. Plastic Born free, Adiri and MAM and all glass bottles are BPA free. Medela pumps are OK, too.
MAM bottles are the cheapest ($12 for 3) and you can get them on line at Walmart with free to store shipping, or at Target. Hope that helps sandrac06 -
Tuesday, 29 April hello there Michelle - no no baby here yet - due on Monday. How are you keeping. All is well here. I just haven't been online much recently as i have been off work lol - and have been busy running about trying to get stuff organised. lulu81usc -
Sunday, 20 April I appreciate your message. You're absolutely right. I do have some tough decisions to make. I have actually spoken to some friends today. One is a pharmaceutical rep and the other works for one of the top agencies with a major insurance company. They both think they will have openings very soon. Also the hours are awesome, the pay is great, and the benefits are pretty good. I think it is time to figure something out. My company has done so much for me but I have definitely worked very hard and have put in tons of hours. I'm greatful for the time I had with it. It's an awesome company to have on a resume too. Finding a job over my little maternity leave won't be easy but that is why I quit looking at job websites and decided to network. Knowing people really helps and I think you're right. It will all work out. =) momofboys -
Saturday, 19 April People are so rude! My husbands grandmother told me I am much larger with this pregnancy. This coming from a woman with 7 kids you would think she would know better. tasteslikestars -
Friday, 18 April i thik tat it is awesome that in Canada you cant request a c section. they are absolutely horrible, and i am trying for a v bac this time snowwhite5thbabe -
Friday, 18 April They routinely schedule c-sections in the U.S.for moms who've had a previous one, becuase of the risk of uterine rupture in following deliveries. But I think most Dr.s won't do a c-section unless medically necessary- for one thing, the insurance may refuse to pay for it... baby.bray -
Friday, 18 April Hiya thanks for the info, over here you can request c-sections but it doesn't mean you'll get one lol - alot of our doctors and midwives are very old school that way (the whole british stiff-upper-lip thing :-) but no 99.9% of the time if you asked for a c-section they'd tell you to stop being daft and get on with it only for emergancies x having a c-section would be my worst nightmare, why would peole volunteer for it? good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and birth x andptyof6 -
Saturday, 12 April An update on my cloth diaper experience... My MIL ordered one off the internet for $7.00 plus then their was $15.00 for shipping so this diaper costs quite a bit. Well she went to Joanne fabrics and bought some unbleached fabric and velcro and elastic for 11.00. She copied the layout of the one she ordered and it looks perfect! She is going to sew like baby patterns and stuff on the outside for fun. We will see how it works. Im supposed to have the baby this thursday if the amnio results are good. I was supposed to have him last week but his lungs were not matured yet!
Good luck to you! I will let you know if this cloth thing works out! babyboysmama -
Tuesday, 8 April Have you had your iron levels checked? I was feeling dizzy and extreamly tired and my iron levels were very low so I'm taking an Iron vitamen along with my prenatal vitamen and it's helped out a TON. lulu81usc -
Monday, 7 April Thanks Michelle. Yeah, its kind of funny. I get so tired of hearing "are you sure there is just one in there?" or "promise me you won't go into labor in the next few minutes" or "I don't think you'll make it another month, you're too big." I just tell people "don't underestimate me, I can get a lot bigger." Sometimes I say I love being pregnant so much I'll just keep him in there for another year. A couple of weeks ago a girl said "oh, Laura, you are really swollen!" I said, maybe I'm just getting really fat. I think she felt bad. I saw one girl that seemed to be even bigger than me in our birthing class. Of course I wondered if there were twins in there but I wasn't dumb enough to ask her. I wish everyone would think before they speak. =) alex76 -
Saturday, 5 April Hi Michelle, it could be Braxton Hick's but they usually last about a minute. Possibly round ligament pain, if you've been active one side starts to cramp, it's just your tummy stretching. Also, sorry TMI coming, it could be you are needing to go the bathroom. Nothing to worry about though xx momma-in-may -
Saturday, 5 April Hey thank you very much. I was so crushed yesterday!!! I cried like a baby! Was somewhat embarrassing, but hey, our babies are so worth the weight gain!!! Good luck with ur little one! Take care...xoxo andptyof6 -
Tuesday, 1 Apr Im planning on using cloth and disposable. I think cloth are so much better for the environment and obviously disposable are convenient! I do not like the pins for cloth so i am going with velcro straps. I found a website that sells them for pretty cheap. My mother in law just ordered 2 and she is going to copy the design and make me some for very cheap! Im excited. Bum genious has them on the internet but they are so expensive. $17 per diaper. Ridiculous. Shop around. If your comfortable with pins they are cheap at the store but if not they do have some pretty cheap and cute cloth diapers on the internet.! Good luck! mayflower -
Tuesday, 1 Apr Hi! This is my first pregnancy too, so I have yet to try out cloth diapers. But my friend swears by them! I have some on order and am very excited about it! I would recommend you check out www.puddlesplace.com and give them a call! She has a 1800# on her site and she is VERY helpful and informative. Good luck and Congrats! Valeriescheller -
Friday, 21 Mar Your very welcome!!! cindylu -
Friday, 21 Mar I get eye twitches when I am stressed or worried about something. If you can find a way to relieve the stress it gets better, but I know it's easier said than done. Valeriescheller -
Friday, 21 Mar hello! Eye Twitches is simply a sign of Low Calcium. Try to drink more milk.. or even have some tums. I had this happen and once I started drinking more milk IT stopped!
