The Twins are Here!!!!

Wednesday, March 12th, I was 34 wks and 4 days. Felt alot of pressure, I was on the phone with my cousin the night before telling her how I felt she showed up at my front door within 20 minutes and demanded that I go to the hospital and get checked out. It was so late, I told her she was crazy because I didn't feel any contractions and my water didn't break. She insisted because she gave birth to b/g twins at 34 wks, so she said that it's nothing to ignore. So I told here, fine but if I'm not in labor, she's paying my hospital bill! LOL When I got to the hospital it was just past midnight, March 12th, I was 3cm and showing very light contractions, nothing that I was feeling though. But that hospital did not have a NICU, so they transported me to larger hospital via ambulance, about 20 min. away. When I arrived there, I was at 6cm. But the contractions were the same. Within a half an hour they had me preped for a c-section because both babies were breech. My husband just made it to see them born. My boy was born first at 5:22am, 4 lbs 15 oz. and my girl was born at 5:28am, 4 lbs. 5 oz. Both were brought to the NICU immediately. But to everyone's suprise, within 5 hours they were off all wire's and taken out of the NICU. Like one nurse said that they had upgraded to wireless service. LOL They didn't need any assistance in breathing, or keeping their body temp's, or eating. They were perfect! They are going to keep them in the Specialty Care Nursery for a week just to monitor them because they were only 34 wks. but other than that extremely healthy and waiting to come home!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

I have a 1 y/o, a 2 y/o, and a 3 y/o. All daughters. I also have a 13 y/o step-daughter. I'm expecting twins in April. The twins are a boy and a girl! Can't wait. I'm finally going to have a boy! My husband is absolutely wonderful....as a husband, father, and provider. We've been married 4 1/2 years. I will have 5 of my own children before my 5th yr anniversary. lol My dreams of getting married and having a family have all come true. I'm living my own fairytale. Don't get me wrong. Everyday has its ups and downs, but for the most part.....it's wonderful. I always say......situations are what you make of them and life will follow suit. So be happy and things will just fall into place.

Update:

I'm scheduled for a c-sec March 28th. The doc is afraid that my c-sec scar might rupture with contractions, so they want me to avoid going into labor on my own. That will be 37 weeks for me. I hope I reach it cause I feel like I'm ready to go now at 31 weeks.

Update:

My c-section has been rescheduled to April 3rd (38wks) do to some Michigan law that will not allow a doctor to induce or schedule a c-sec at 37wks without an amnio to see if the babies lungs are developed enough. I refuse to do an amnio for the sake of one whole week so I will be going in at 38wks instead. If I even last that long! I'm as big as a house! LOL
