Hi! I understand how difficult it can be to get time to use this site. Some weeks it can be hard for me to write back to people also. The main thing is that you are well which is great!

I have made a start at getting some of the baby things out of the attic to start the process of sorting out what we have and what we may need to purchase. I came across the steriliser and bottles, sling, baby towels, sheets and bedding for the cot and the moses basket, plus all of the bags of clothes that we have kept from having my two girls. I spent quite some time on Sunday sorting through the various bags so that all of the baby clothes are now grouped according to age. I think we have plenty of 0-3 months things, but will probably need a few newborn items. I am going to start washing them ready to put away in some drawers. There still seems quite a lot of preparation to do before October though! Only 14 weeks or so to go, seems quite scary!!

Take Care
Valerie x

Congrats to you as well. The blood clot was caused by bleeding behind the placenta which formed a blood clot. My symptoms were cramping, back pain, and most terrifying bleeding. It sounds like you just need to get out and walk periodically during your traveling and make sure that you take time to put your feet up to help with circulation and preventing blood clots in your legs that can move to places you don' want them to be. I had been driving for almost 10 hrs with stopping only twice to use the restroom. Just be careful and make sure to figure into your travel plans plenty of time to walk and rest outside of the vechicle. I hope this helps. Take Care of yourselves and Best Wishes Cassy

Hello! Congratulations on finding out that you are expecting a BOY! That is wonderful news. I bet you are so excited! It is interesting that the Indidan fortune teller was right. You will have to go back and find out what happens next year!!

I love the way you decide on names in your country. It sounds a much better way of doing things. I like the fact that the baby's name is linked to the time and date of birth, plus having a lucky letter. I wish we had some kind of system like that. I am still struggling to think of names....nothing definite yet!

Sorry to hear about your fever. It must make you feel very tired. My husband suffers from the same kind of fever caused by the pollen from plants in the summer. He gets miserable and tired with sneezing all the time. I hope you get better soon. Its a shame you can't stay at home and miss work until you feel better!

I had a good weekend thank you. I seem to have gone in to some kind of strange 'see how untidy my house' is mode so spent a lot of Saturday sorting out things, cleaning and generally tidying. I am going to stick with it while I have the energy! On Sunday we took our girls on a farm visit. It was part of something called 'Open Farm Sunday'. Our visit included a 45 minute tractor and trailer ride, betting on racing pigs and hunting for bugs/insects in the fields!! The girls had a great time, and best of all they had a lovely cafe/restaurant!

Have you thought about when you would like to stop work before you have the baby? I am due to work until 25th July - I am counting down the weeks now! Take care and hope you feel better son. Love, Valerie

Hello, thank you for your message. I am pleased to hear that you are feeling the baby move now. It is amazing isn't it! Also it is good to hear that you are feeling so well and not worried any more. The middle part of pregnancy is the best - I love this stage!

There is no worry at all about having a high-resolution ultrasound. It is a very common test in pregnancy throughout the world, I have had them done during each pregnancy and it is a fantastic experience. There is no danger to you or the baby. It is very enjoyable to be able to see the baby on the screen. In England women generally have them at 12 weeks and then again at 20 weeks.

I went to the hospital yesterday for my 20 week scan - its the major scan where they can check the baby's development and look for any abnormalities etc. The sonographer managed to check everything that she needed to and all the major organs etc have developed as they should have done. In fact it was quite amazing to see so much detail - at one time we could even see the lens of the baby's eye.

Anyway, the news is that we are expecting another baby girl. The sonographer was quite sure it was a girl from the scan. So I am a soon to be mum of 3 girls!!

My two girls are very excited about the baby, although we haven't told them that it will be a girl. We want it to be a surprise when the baby is born!

I hope you have a good weekend too. Let me know how you get on when you have your ultrasound appointment. Valerie

Thats so good!!! I am hoping for a natural delivery, but if it takes a c-section, then so be it, whatever will get her out safely!! I would just like it sooner then later.... :-) have you picked out names yet?

mrsclev - Wednesday, 21 May
Thanks for the comment, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I am feeling great in the end of my pregnancy, 4 more weeks hopefully!! Feeling cramped, but hopefully she will drop soon.

I started feeling kicks around 18-19 weeks, but my doctor said some people dont feel it until like 22 weeks, so I wouldnt be too worried.

Hows everything esle in preg going?

Thank you.....Happy Belated Mother's Day

sparklyval - Sunday, 11 May
Hello, don't worry too much about feeling movements at the moment. It is still quite early....I feel the baby a lot now but it is only because it is my 3rd pregnancy and I have learnt what to look for. The movements should get stronger and more often after 20 weeks - I love that part of pregnancy.

I can understand you feeling scared about miscarriage, but you are past the worst time which is the first 3 months. Try not to worry too much! I have been really lucky because I have never had a miscarriage but many of my friends have and it is very upsetting. Everything will be fine this time....enjoy being pregnant, its a great experience!
Love, Valerie

Thank you, I have felt the baby move but this is my third pregnancy so I know what to expect. On my first baby I didn't feel her move till 24 weeks so hang in there. Pretty soon your little one will be jabbing you in the ribs and you will have to try to wedge them out from under them :). Good luck to you!

anxiousmomma - Tuesday, 6 May
Thanks and congrats to you as well!

Yes, I like the sarees in your photographs - they look beautfiul, such lovely material. Wow - Sri Lanka!! Most ladies on here are from the US, UK, Canada and Australia - you are the first person I have found from a different country. It was lovely to get your message.
How was your ultrasound scan? Were you able to find out if you are having a boy or a girl?
Yes, I have been feeling the baby move since about 14 weeks. To start with only a little bit, but now I feel the baby most days. It is lovely! I remember it from my past two pregnancies. What about you?

sparklyval - Friday, 2 May
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope that you are feeling well. Your wedding dress looks beautiful on your photograph. Where are you living? Is LK for Sri Lanka? Best wishes x

I'm feeling great! I have my energy back and I'm sooo glad that the morning sickness is over. I feel the baby move all the time. It seems to be especially active after I eat and when I'm lying down in bed. I can actually feel it kick when I'm lying down in bed, it's an amazing feeling! How are you feeling. Don't worry if you haven't felt the baby yet, you will soon! Congrats on your pregnancy too!!!
