It all started with a trip to Mexico and an engagement ring...
3 and 1/2 years later our 2nd child is on the way! Our first child was a true "honeymoon baby;" we were pregnant with her right away. #2 wasn't as easy to conceive, but he or she is on the way! We're waiting to tell our friends and family, but as I was writing this message an aunt walked in the door. I am pretty sure she figured out I am pregnant by seeing this message. Oh well! News travels fast in my family so we'll see how long it takes before my mom calls wondering why I didn't tell her I am pregnant.

Tomorrow it will be one week before my first OB appointment. I am so excited, not only because I get to hear the baby `s heartbeat but also because I have the best OB ever! With my first child I was nauseated, but I could always find appetite for good food if I searched well enough. At 7 weeks the OB gave me free samples of the DHA supplement. That REALLY did a number on my stomach. Once I stopped taking it my stomach felt a lot better. With this pregnancy I `m just now starting to experience some nausea. We `ll see how the nausea progresses in the coming weeks.
Monday, 3 Mar
Bring on the nausea! So far I `m just queasy, and I `m hoping it doesn `t get worse. Boy am I tired too! Yesterday I woke up then took a shower right away. By the time I was done with my shower I needed a nap:)
Saturday, 8 Mar
Today was the first OB visit. As expected we waited a LONG time before the doc saw me...2 hours! But we have a GREAT OB so she is worth the wait. We saw the little peanut baby and the heartbeat. The baby measures at about 7 weeks 3 days though I `m 8 weeks 3 days since the 1st day of my last period. That `s normal for me since my cycles are usually long (32-35 days). It was the same way with my first child. Doc wants to see me back March 18th so do another ultrasound and measure the baby again to see if the peanut is growing OK. 2 ultra sounds in 2 weeks- I don `t mind seeing the baby again so soon!
Saturday, 22 Mar
Tuesday I went to a follow-up appt with my OB. As always the wait was long. I was told upon signing in that the doc was 1 and 1/2 hours behind! As I was waiting in the waiting area I was praying that the long waits wouldn `t continue. And I serious contemplated switching docs. When I finally got to see the doc the 1st thing she said was, `Did I tell you last time that I am opening my own practice? Well I am because I am unhappy with how long it takes to see my patients. I open my new practice April 14th. ` Alleluia! I will se her one more time before she opens her new practice (currently she `s in a group practice). So I will have to endure another long wait.Aside from that, the doc did another ultrasound so we got to see the baby again! The baby is growing fine and the doc stuck by her Oct 21st due date. The heart was beating nice and fast and moved around a bit. The doc said that we have a good chance of the baby being a boy. I had mixed feeling about that. First I was excited to have a boy since I already have a daughter. On the other hand, My daughter has one girl cousin on my side, the rest are boys. So in a childish way I was hoping to even the score. But the truth is it doesn `t matter the gender, I will absolutely love the child no matter what.
Thursday, 4 Sep
6-1/2 weeks until my due date. Right now "Baby Will" (as we call him) is moving around like a gymnast which is normal at this time of evening. Interestingly enough my husband suggested yesterday that we make a list of things to do before baby Will comes so we can be prepared for is birth. I guess he learned from the birth of our first child that we need to be more prepared. It's wonderful to have him be so proactive and helpful. My Mom is going to do her best to be here for the baby's birth. She was so helpful with the birth of our daughter I don't know what I'll do if she can't make it... Though I know at heart we have a lot of other friends and family that can help in her stead. It's just the old cliche that a girl wants her mommy no matter her age. The closer it gets to the due date the more my daughter is scraping for every ounce of attention she can get from me. I expect that this is a sign of things to come after Will's birth. We accepted that challenge when we decided to try for #2 or else we would have stuck with just 1 kid :)
Wednesday, October 8
12 days to due date! One of 2 things will happen between now and then. Option 1- I could go into labor and have the baby vaginally (my ideal option). Option 2- I could have a c-section which I have already scheduled for October 22 at 8:30am. Though option number 2 isn't the ideal option, the cool thing about it is that Oct. 22 is my mom's birthday. My mom mentioned at the beginning of the pregnancy that it would be cool if Wil were born on her birthday. She may get her birthday wish!
I was VERY anxious the past few weeks, but now I'm feeling better. My anxiety came from feeling like I was playing the waiting game. Since I had a previous C-section, I can't be induced if I carry beyond DD. If I carry beyond DD I will have a c-section. Either way, I felt like the birth could be anytime- vaginal or c-section. Not only did scheduling a c-section for oct 22 help alleviate my anxiety, but spending more time with my friends helped too. I guess we'll see what's in store the next 12 days.

Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Saturday, 27 September My guy was 5'11 but yours will probably stay within the same weight. Weight goes by the mother not father. So I put my guess in at 6.5! Awww mine is just starting to call me mama. Sooooo great. I can't wait to have my next. I am just waiting for them to figure out a way to do it without me being preggers again.
By the way send this back to your daughter armeewife0514 -
Sunday, 21 September No don't worry until the baby comes.....enjoy....I miss being preggers, even more so my son being little again. Now he is going to be a year next month and I am really freaking out. Enjoy the moments of holding them because once they start crawling they no longer wanna be held. I am sending baby vibes of 7lbs.....that seems healthy without being tooo big. corinnescully -

Sunday, 7 September Hmm, Medela seems to be the popular one coz I was advised to try that by another mommy in here too
. I will surely keep that in mind...guess I'll need to pump occasionally esp if we are gonna go out some place and I don't wanna nurse him publicly
.Do u know how much it costs ? Thanx for writing in ! t555rm -
Friday, 5 September Thanx for yr response, I really appreciate it. I just found out that the more u nurse the more u produce milk...so then that's what I intend to do. I didn't know that it's a supply and demand process...I plan to nurse him for at least 10 months, so I guess I have time before I start thinking of formula. I'll def keep in mind abt yr advice against soy based formula tho'. U have a good day ! dyamond -

Wednesday, 13 August Your state really is beautiful...we really had a great time and everyone was friendly & helpful. Washington state (eastern) is a high plains desert with temps in the high 90s low 100s during August...we lived there for 3 years but that was a long time ago. You are right, you just get used to it! Take care & good luck! Madisons-Mom -
Wednesday, 30 July Thanks for the advice....I did talk to my hubby finally and now have a "plan of attack" which has helped a little, thanks again =) derra1976 -
Thursday, 24 July Yeah we have the ceiling fan going and another fan on the dresser. I think it's just the hormones and the pillows that I have to sleep with. I seem to sleep better on the couch then in the bed. I guess because I am more propped up! Glad you are sleeping better.
