My husband & I have been married for 11 years. We've been together 15 years. OMG! That makes me feel old, LOL. We have three beautiful, healthy boys. Braedan was born on 3.14.02, Ryan joined us on 7.11.04, and our newest baby boy, Jordan Matthew, was born on 7.28.07. I've been a stay at home mom since May 2004. I was a medic in the Air Force for 6 years. I got out when I got pregnant with my 2nd son. Now I'm going to school to get my RN.

My oldest, Braedan, who is 6:

JORDAN MATTHEW HAS ARRIVED! HE WAS BORN ON 7.28.07 @ 8:41AM. HE WEIGHED 9 LBS 2 OZ & HE WAS 22" LONG.

Tuesday, January 8, 2008~ I know I don't update here too often. Just wanted to say that Jordan is growing like a weed. He weighs 18 lbs 2 oz, so he's only 2 oz short of doubling his birth weight already. He got his first tooth on Dec 20. He looks so cute! He's been sick with an icky cold & cough for over 2 weeks now. I took him to the doctor last week, but he said it's just a virus that needs to run its course. My poor baby is miserable. He can't breathe out of his little nose. I hope he feels better soon. He's still so happy. He's such a good baby. I love him to pieces.

Wednesday, November 28, 2007~ Jordan had his 4 month check up today. He's up to 16 lbs 14 oz and he's 26" long. He did much better with his shots this time. He cried for a second, but he wasn't nearly as upset as he was the first time. He smiles constantly. He's laughing now, clicking his tongue, he rolls over from his tummy to his back, and he's been drooling like crazy. I keep checking for teeth, but none yet.

Monday, October 1, 2007~ Jordan had his 2 month check up today. He weighs 14 lbs 1 oz now & he's 23 1/4" long. He's getting so big! He's doing great. He's 90th percentile for weight & head circumference & he's right in the middle for his height. He didn't like his first shots at all. :( He screamed, his arms were stiff. I felt so bad. Neither of my other boys reacted so strongly when they got their shots. I hate that Jordan has to get more shots in just a couple more months. Anyway, all is well. We're very blessed & I'm very thankful!

Sunday, August 5, 2007~ My baby boy is here! I love him to pieces & I can't get enough of him already. My mom & sister met Mike & I at the hospital Friday morning (July 27th). We got up to my room & they finally started my induction at 11:30. That's when they put the Cytotec in. I was praying that it would work the first time because they leave it in for 4 hours. After 4 hours they checked me & I was 3 cm, so they started pitocin. It was like 4pm by that time. I was having tons of contractions, some big, some not so bad, but none of them were really killing me yet. After hours & hours they checked me again & I was still 3 cm, thick, and the baby was way high. I was so frustrated. I started crying. This continued on all night long. Finally, at like 4am, I was 4 cm, but still thick & high. After that I think my body finally took over & I actually started hard labor. So, they turned the pitocin down. The hard labor started at 4:30am. My water broke at about 6am & by 6:15am the contractions were even more intense.

My doula was with me the whole time. She was awesome, especially at the end. She was unbelieveable. I don't think I could have done it without her. After a couple of hours of hard contractions they said I was 5-6cm, still thick & high. Ugh! At this point the contractions were so unbelieveably painful. I thought I was gonna die. They checked me again & I was 7cm, 50% effaced, but Jordan was still high. He was being stubborn! When they told me I was only 7cm I wanted to kick the doctor in the face. I knew how I felt. I wanted to push so bad. There was no way I was 7 cm. The doctor stayed & said I was dilating to 8cm with a contraction & almost all the way thinned out, but baby was still -3. WTF??? So, they had me turn on my left side. The doctor left, but my nurse knew I was gonna go quick at that point. She put on gloves & said, "okay, we might have this baby on the bed." I kept grunting & pushing. They told me not to, but my body was just doing it. I couldn't help it. My nurse called the doctor back in the room. They checked me & I was complete & Jordan was finally at zero station. Finally, I could push!!! I rolled over on my back so I could push, they checked me & Jordan was +2, so they told me not to push because they weren't ready. WHAT?? Screw you. I'm ready. I'm pushing. They were yelling for all the doctors to come back in my room. Jordan's head was turned sideways a little bit. That's probaby what took him so long to drop. Thankfully I didn't have any problems pushing him out even though he was sideways. But, holy shit. I didn't think pushing him out sideways was going to hurt so bad! I can't believe what a difference it makes having them face your back. I was screaming my head off at this point. I actually felt his face coming out of me. It felt like he was ripping me in half. OMG, that was unbelieveable, undescribeable pain. It was such a relief when his head came out, then his shoulders and the rest of him just fell out. Ohhhh, that felt so good. The pain was gone. Woohoo!

Those contractions at the end were unbearable. When they tried telling me that I was 7cm, 50% and high I said that I couldn't do it anymore. Give me drugs! They said it's too late for an epidural, which I knew. There's no way I could have gotten through one anyways. My doula was in my ear saying, "Mindy, he only needs a couple more minutes. You can do this." She was helping me breathe. She was a God send. Thankfully, everything progressed quickly at that point. No drugs were given, Jordan was born & all was right with the world. I must say, Jordan's labor was a million times harder than Ryan's & I can honestly say that I could never do that again. Nobody should have to endure that much pain. OMG, what was I thinking?! LOL

So, Jordan arrived on July 28, 2007 at 8:41 am. He weighed in at a healthy 9 lbs 2.2 oz & he's 22" long. His head is the exact same size Braedan's was. We think he looks more like Braedan &, of course, he looks exactly like Daddy. He's absolutely beautiful & perfect in every way. The boys love him. They've been good helpers.

Jordan is a great baby. He's a good eater. He's really calm. So sweet. I just wanna eat him up. I'll post pics when I can.
