Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Tuesday, 26 Feb hi, its hard isn't it? can't believe i'm 8 days over!
I've got an induction date for monday so i guess i've gotta wait 6 more days!
the wards are too overcrowded where i am so women don't get induced til 42weeks!
how ru coping? amy7092 -
Tuesday, 26 Feb No I will be having him naturally, with an epidural but I usually wait as long as I can until about 6cm before I get the medication. It's not that bad. My mom had five kids and she said it is easier to have a bigger baby. My baby is 8lbs10oz by the ultrasound which means he is about 8lbs6oz. I think you will be just fine. Just concentrate and breathe and you will get through it. I promise. My last two were about the same size or bigger and they were fine. Oh tell them you would rather tear in the vaginal(peri) area than let them cut you. It hurts more when they cut you. I have had both options and the tearing on its own was better. I hope you won't have to experience it but if you do you would rather tear. Good luck to you. I am 5days over and still waiting. oodabooboo -

Sunday, 24 Feb I didn't feel the epidural at all! They numb you before they put it in. And after I had it, I was able to sleep and rest before labor, even though I was having contractions. I felt no pain during pushing it was just a lot of hard work. I also didn't feel them stitch me back up. The only problem was I couldn't feel the contractions during labor and the nurses had to tell me when to push. I was able to walk the day after delivery, I'm just a little sore. Don't be afraid! It wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but I've heard if you have stress it will be worse so relax and take it as it comes. The nurses asked me when I arrived at the hospital if I was wanting the epideral and if there was any drugs I didn't want to take. Good Luck! inkognit007 -
Saturday, 23 Feb An epidural is medication that they administer next to your spinal column via a catheter. It numbs you from the top of your belly dow and I tell you I felt NO PAIN when I had my baby. mamacece -

Friday, 22 Feb This is a general message to everyone who left a comment on my VIP page: I thought I would let you know that I have just posted a very detailed birth story on my VIP page. You can read it under 'olga83's children' in the top menu on my page. Good luck :) P.S. Thank you for your comment and congratulations :) I am sorry I cannot reply to everyone because with the new baby in the house I really have no time to log in long enough to reply to everyone :) Please let me know when you give birth by sending me private message. I would love to hear your story and see the pictures!!! mama217 -

Sunday, 17 Feb i ended up delivering vaginally. she weighed in at 7lbs 15oz, a little smaller than they thought.
it was a very smooth delivery, and she was out in 3 pushes.
we couldn't be happier! :) Clairplus1 -
Sunday, 17 Feb hi, 8 pounds is 3.52 kg and yes a natural birth. i had air and gas, and then dimorphin but nothing else. Don't worry it hurts but it is bearable. Good luck. CrazyEights -
Sunday, 17 Feb Everything will work out fine, sweetie. Don't panic. If you go in to labor you need to call an ambulance though. Don't try to drive yourself. Make sure you let the hospital know you are very much alone. They should have people there that will help you to learn everything you need to know about taking care of the baby at home, too. Don't be afraid to ask for help. That is what they are there for. My last baby was 9 pounds 6 ounces. It's not that bad. Get an epidural if your afraid of the pain of delivering that big of a baby. Just try to stay calm. It's better for you and your baby. Write me anytime if you need to talk or have any questions. I'm a mom of seven children having my eighth. I might be able to help. Take care. dooney25 -
Friday, 15 Feb Keep in mind babies gain an average of an ounce a day so at this rate at 40 weeks the baby will be close to 9 lbs which is big. The average baby in the US right now is 7 lbs 8 oz. But babies come in all shapes and sizes. nikkit -
Tuesday, 12 Feb No they told me 2 weeks ago her head is down thank god for that.. mommynina -
Friday, 8 Feb Thank you! I hope everything else goes smooth for you. LoveMyBelly6 -
Thursday, 7 Feb I'm really glad to hear that she turned by herself! See, the power of positive thinking and trusting your baby to do what she needs to do when she's ready. Of course if she hadn't turned they could have always helped to turn her, but she did it all on her own! Good luck with a safe and happy delivery.
