Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

I too lost weight. I lost 23lbs but have gained 5lbs. The doctor has not said anything yet. I am overweight so that may be why. I was very nauseaous at first and that is why I lost weight.

Hi. Thanks for the leg cramp info. With my 1st pregnancy, I woke up every night yelling b.c of calf cramps! I would stretch my legs while sleeping and that would cause me to have them. They were horrible. Not looking foward to them this go round. I'll have to stretch my legs throughout the day now. :) Thanks.

I'm definately with you on the sleep issue. I must be up every hour some nights and a few nights ago I actually fell asleep while in the bathroom, sitting up.

Oh what stories we will have when the little ones get older and start dating!

Hi there! I am having a horrible time sleeping to. I am usually awake at 2 or 2:30am and can't get back to sleep after that.
Party because I get so sore laying on my left side all night and partly because the baby is kicking the hell out of my bladder.

I hear it only gets worse....

Hey girl, i'm from Illinois as well. Your post got everyone chatting and that was good. Don't blame you for wanting to punch the chick who was pregnant out bc ive witinessed the effects of smoking, my grandmother bless her heart smoked for 60 years and just had a treak removed from her throat and was in a coma because of cigarettes. so i can only imagine what a little fetus would feel. Hope things work in illinois, i'm in cali and Lord do i miss portillos and ginos east!

Wow your post seem to bring a lot of tension to the table lol but I would have to agree that Yes, it is hard to see anybody doing anything that is against your beliefs WITHOUT A DOUBT ! and part of being so passionate about it i think too is that fact that we are pregnant!!! Us women are totaaaally crazy as is and throw more hormones into the mix and someone is in trouble lol!!! But being an occasional smoker causes me grief too and it is easier at times for me to compare to maybe those that drink and stuff like thatm but bottom line we are in no place to judge! And that means any of us ! But of course, that is WAY easier said than done! I think your comment brought alot of opinions and facts to light which is both great and not so great for some that went totally over the top !

That would tick me off too. I was a cocktail waitress at one time and had been serving a lady all night. She got up to leave and her belly had been hidden by the table. I was so mad. I was about 18 then. It annoyes me to see women who drink while they are pregnant. I'll admit that I have had a few sips here or there but not an entire glass of anything since I've been pregnant.
