Its funny you aren't even but 7 weeks old, and I already feel a bond,

On August 26th-07 we found out we're blessed with a bundle of joy...We're so excited to become a family! We have so many dreams and inspirations for our baby. November 16th we find out the gender. My first ultra sound was at 10 wks and 4 days. When we found out...I was having small signs, I just felt something changed. My smallest cloths were a bit tighter, and I was hungrier. I thought I missed my period. The day I found out I had went to the beach with Albert and our friends, I felt really sick in the car ride there and back, and just really tierd. My friend brought me a pregnancy test and when we got to my apartment, i had to pee bad, so i took it right then. Immediately two pink lines shown! I remember shouting I'm pregnant as Albert and his friend came in. We we're happy and in shocked at the same. We talked and hugged.:D
I'm due in April-08.Waiting is the hardest part! We have names,for a boy Gavin Michael & girl Rhiley Jade. I feel like I'm having a boy.

November 8-07, I felt the baby moving. My belly is already showing, my pants stoped fitting like a month ago.(i was 0 thats why) & my belly button has been a outty for awhile.It feels very soft!
November 18-07, On the 16th,Friday we went to the doctor and It's confirmed he's a boy. We choose the name before I even was prego, it came to us like it was ment to be by God. His name is Gavin Michael Hernandez. I posted 5 new 17wk pics. I am 17wks + 2 days today. We are so happy, we wanted a boy! Went registry hunting, babies r us, walmart and soem of target are where my registry's are at.He's been moving alot, I felt him for awhile at least 5 times today :) He's a busy baby!
November 23-07 Thanksgiving went good. Ate a whole lot. I'm 18wks today!
November 30-07 I'm 19 weeks today! I sware it's going by fast to me, one day I'm gonna wake up and I'm gonna be in labor and then BOOM Gavin will be in my arms looking at me and his father. LOL! I finished my registry this weekend..had some things not on it. I'm mainly registered at babies r us, some at walmart, and some target. Mainly Babies R Us though. Gav man is taping and kicking when he can...and I think he loved lima beans cause I ate then first time since being prego last night and I ate like alot..and now I'm eating more! He likes sweets...I dont normaly do much sweets but i eat more then normal. I gained 3 more lbs!so total since I found out I was prego I've gained..9 lbs! My goal was to gain 3 more lbs in this week...yay i know alot...but my matabalism is extreemly fast I can lose like 2 lbs in one day..well before I was prego. So I gained 3 in two days..lol! wow. I'm suppose to gain 10 to 15 by week 19 so I made my goal pretty much. I was worrying about gaining since i was only 104 last week. SO since my last visit I've gained 3 yay! I'm posting new belly pics..just belly i look like crap probably lol...but in comparison i duno if it's noticble or not since week 15. We'll see soon!
January 21-08, haven't wrote in awhile...been busy. I'm in my last qurter of school before i take the next quarter off for Baby Gavin. I'm 26 wks now and boy does he kick and move alot! My car broke down andit's been over a week so I'm hanging in there with that one. Hope I dont lose my job. Got a new job since I last wrote, working as a telephone represenative/clerk at a theatre. Next doctors visit I get to have a ultra sound and a video/picture on dvd of Gavin!!! We got a house and we're moving into it this February! So looking forward to that also. My fiance sister and brother in law are hosting my baby shower, it will be at our new house in March. Tomorrow I go for my glucose test. Ehhhh. Trying to look at all the good things coming my way, but its really hard without a car. Gavin is doing good, he loves to move all around and even kicks the remote when i put it on my tummy. I'm about 114-116 , it change sher and there. So I've gained 18 lbs so far! Whooohoo. Looking forward to ultra sound.
March 29-08, This is probably my last post in awhile...I'm due April 25th, it's getting closer. I feel very pregnant now days, but its actually going pretty good. Occasional swelling of feet and ankles, eating alot, thirsty alot, uncomfortable to sleep or get comfy...but everything else is good. We moved into our house and Its so beautiful and set up Gavins nursery. The baby shower went really good, got alot stuff. Now we're doing last minute shopping and cleaning and getting ready for baby Gavin. He moves alot but in a different way now. He is running out of room. I predict he'll be 7 lbs...Albert thinks 8! I hope not 8! lol I think I'm having him early.
MARCH 7-08, I'm 37 wks 3 days. I'm waiting on Gavin to come out already so we can hold him!!! I'm super excited and keep thinking about labor, how it may be, what to expect. We're going to a labor lamaze class this weekend on saturday...hope we make it before he comes! I have a doc appointment friday she's gonna check my cervix and all that. wish me luck!
April 20-08 ...I gave birth to my baby boy April 11!!!!At 10:45pm, I was 3 cm dialated when I went to the doctor so we schedulked inducement the next morning, however when I went home I had bleeding and small period like feelings of contractions so she told me to go ahead to go to the hospital and we ended up scheduling inducemnt that day. I was at the hospital from about 3pm till I went home with my baby 3 days later. From 3pm to about 8pm I was in one room where they monitored his heart and had me answer a bunch of questions mandatory for laor and delivery....then I went to a labor room about 8pm had the epideral and started on the meds for inducement. I was already dialated so I decided it would be okay to induce...he was due april 25th. I felt no really bad contractions, the epideral i decided to do in case cause i had no idea what pain i would be feeling later in major labor. After a 1hr of pushing and about 30 minutes of intense uncontrollable hard to breath dry mouth pushing....I had him! He got a perfect 10, healthy and soooo adorable!!! Today he is 1wk and 2 days...the first night was sooooo hard. I almost gave up on breastfeeding...but i got lansiloah breast pump (double) and I finally got all that hard cloged clostrum( or milk) out and now I can breastfeed. I had trouble with latching he couldnt latch caus emy nipples are inverted in sucking...so I use the small size breast shield. IT WORKED MIRACLES cause I can breastfeed with that or pump and use the bottle. The best bottle Im using is NUK. My baby boy is healthy and happy 5lbs 13 oz and 18'' long, and went to his first dr visit friday :D
I can't believe I lived without him. Daddy Albert & I are even closer too......as a team as parents, and we love him sooooooooo much!!!! Im so happy I had him!!!

Thank you for your concern.Once they roll over, there is not much you can do...you will soon see :-) Once they have begun to roll over, the risk of sids decreases and they chose the position to sleep in that is most comfortable for them.

Hi there! Well, everyone is different when it comes to the cervical exam. My sister-in-law said it didn't hurt her at all, but yesterday was very intense for me. I don't know if it was because I was tensing my muscles but it wasn't the least bit pleasant (not that I thought it would be). My Dr said the further along you get the more your cervix drops, so she doesn't have to "dig" to feel how dilated you are. I didn't feel the mucus plug come out. It may be TMI, but when I went to the restroom and wiped, it was on the TP. It had a bloody tinge. I knew then that I had lost it. Not all women lose their plug though. My sister went into labor on her own with her first and never noticed losing her plug. But she lost it in the shower with her second. I just think my Dr dislodged it for me. I had some bleeding as soon as she checked me, just like the good ol' period we used to have. It was strange. :)
I hope you are feeling well. You look great! Are you just as ready as I am?

The pants at A Pea In The Pod run smaller than most, and fit really well. Not motherhood, or mimi, but a pea in the pod-that is where all of my maternoty clothes have come from. They offer the most styles. Plus they have yummy cashmere, and alot of the sweaters are from designers I wear on a regular basis. They also have dresses from Diane Von Furstenberg-wrapdresses-that fit like a dream, and are so cute! They are more expensive than most places, but I am really tall-and all the maternity clothing seems to be really baggy in the bum area-or look frumpy, which I want no part of, but the clothing here is cut really well.

Hey I too am lactose intolerant, before the pregnancy... i also drank lactaid milk before and cannot drink it now, it makes my stomach just as sick as regular milk... weird huh? there is probably no explanation, its probably just the pregnancy... i have been taking 1200 mg of chewable calcium's everyday so the baby is getting enough.. I'd talk to your doctor just to make sure thats what He wants you to do.. but i feel ya girl! :) How is everything else going?

may help may not. My son is also very lactoce intol. I switched around to all different milks till I finally stopped all together and went completely natural. He drinks almond or rice milk. It is on the shelf on almost all stores. Usually by the cereal. It'll last a long time in the cupboard or about a week in the fridge after opened. Stay away from soy it may give you gas. Good luck.

I am lactose intolerant too. I am sorry the Lactose free milk is making you feel sour. My doctor told me recently that often people who aren't lactose intolerant become so in pregnancy and those of us who already are, become even more sensitive. i am sure there are things other than lactose in cows milk that can upset our stomachs. I would highly recommend you try a soy milk brand called Silk. It's in the grocery fridge with the other milk and is very very drinkable, not like some terrible soy milks, but really very tasty. My husband is a pretty picky eater when it comes to healthy food and even he likes it and drinks it regularly. I have been extra sensitive to my regular Lactaid Milk lately too. If you are worried about the baby getting its share of calcium, just find another source, like Tums or something better that I can't think of this second. Also check to see if your pre-natal vitamin has calcium. Most likely your baby isn't being deprived of anything. I sympathize though, I love milk!!!!

Hi there, hope all is well with you. Congrats on your baby! I wanted to comment about the milk issue...I hope this isn't too long. I like to do a lot of research on diet, and the effects/ benefits of either consuming or re-fraining from eating dairy, eggs, and meat. I've consumed a vegan-vegetarian diet for over the past 5 years. What I have learned is that most products that advertise themselves as being dairy or lactose free truly aren't. There are certain dairy-derivitives that can go under the radar of these kinds of advertised products. Two main, popular ingredients are called casein (or variations of it) and whey. Consuming a vegan-vegetarian diet also known as being a strict vegetarian, means for me that I must read the ingredient labels very carefully. If you typed 'casein' or 'whey' into search engines, you would find lots of information about what they are and what common products they are found in. If you began looking at the ingredients of items at the store..you may find the ingredients in there. I know that I was shocked to see how much dairy/derived things are snuck into our processed foods. I loved to drink soymilk. I believe that its healthy, tastes good, and it doesn't have any dairy stuff in it whatsoever. I love to drink and bake with the 'Silk' brand, vanilla and chocolate the best. But there are other brands of soymilk, Walmart and other stores have their version..which is cool too. I hope this may help any. Take care. :)

Hi April! Thanks for the comment! I've read that the baby should be anywhere from 9 ounces to 12 ounces to 15 ounces at this point and was curious what others are 'weighing' in at! Congrats, by the way!! :)

I asked my dr's this same thing they said it was ok, I am very careful and worried about everything, believe me, maybe because i am only 21 weeks it's ok, though she didn't say that. I go to my dr every 2 week or so and get my ultra sound everything has been great, but i will ask them again, we actually have 3 dr. that we see/rotate at the practice i will see what the others say, and let you know. Anyways, i am just going by what they said!

Dearest April. Thank you for your VERY encouraging comments and for being absolutely ..'AMAZING'!!!. It's amazing to hear from so many people who have had vsd's and are healthy and leading normal, happy lives. So it's people like you that put a smile on my face and a huge amount of hope in my heart..Thank you SO very much April!!! Congrats on your beautiful lil angel. (((hugs)))) p.s If my daughter turns out to be half the person you seem to be with VSD..I have nothing to worry about!!!..she's going to be just GREAT!!! and i'm soooo ecstatic you overcame this problem.
