My Story:

Me and my boyfriend Jeremiah have been together for a year-and we found out we are expecting in September-I was 16 weeks!! I went for many pregnancy tests, and even in August it said negative! (I was 3 months). So when I found out I had an ultrasound, and everything was fine with the baby. Jeremiah was shocked when I told him and he'll be a first time daddy. I am due on March 12,2008 and decided NOT to find out the sex-to keep it for a surprise!! I have a 5 year old son too, hes super excited about being a "big" brother! His father and I split but my son knows who his daddy is. Me and Jeremiah are patiently waiting the arrival, and I'll be flying to the city to have the baby since our town is too small and only has a health center! I didn't want to find out the sex of the baby-we decided to keep it for the big surprise!!

Jan 21,2008-32 weeks & 5 days. (*8 MONTHS*)

Well things are going great-all is normal & healthy. My weight gain is just enough and the fundal height matches with the gestation age! I live in a smaller community so they have to fly me to the city to have the baby. They said I have to leave 4 weeks before the due date which is on Feb 14th-but I'm going to talk to the nurse & ask if I can leave later.I'm getting very anxious and tired of being pregnant with this back pain and all! Goodluck all you ladies with your pregnancies!!

Jan 31,2008-34 weeks (*8 1/2 months*)

Well I went to my prenatal, and the doctor is very worried because I'm not gaining much weight. I'm 123 lbs right now, but my fundal measurements are accurate, so baby is growing. I explained that Im a bit stressed with the mother-in-law, and he said thats not good. I have to go back on Feb 11-to see if I gained any weight in the 2 weeks. The heart rate is 146 bpm. The baby moves so much-its hard to sleep and the kicks in the ribs stunn me! I just hope and pray everything is alright. This baby probably will be tiny (my son was 6lbs), but I'm hoping for the best.

Feb 11,2008-35 1/2 weeks (*8 3/4 months*)

Went for my prenatal today and Jere came with me! Everything is healthy and normal and my weight gain is better- 125.5 lbs now. So far I've gained 15lbs, I was so worried when I didn't gain weight my last prenatal. The babys heart rate was 145 bpm and the head is down, where it will stay until birth!! Jere did my fundal measurement, and it was 35 cm-exact with my weeks again. I will be 36 weeks tomorrow Feb 13th! So on Feb 25th I fly to the city to have the baby-Jere will be coming with me and my mom will take care of my son while I'm gone, I'm going to miss him SO MUCH!! I've been feeling super-anxious and can't wait until labor comes-I want to meet our little bundle. My back is sore and it's so hard to sleep comfortably now, so I'm always tired during the day! I am really impatient...counting the days.....the last few weeks finally....

Feb 20,2008- 37 weeks exactly!! (9mos+1wk)

So I had my prenatal today (the final one here in my town) and everything is fine-heart rate is good and measurements are exact once again. My weight is good too-@ 127lbs right now-all belly I tell you, but I feel super heavy and outta breath!
I also got my ticket to fly to the city to have my baby - I leave on Feb 25th at 5pm!! I'm not too excited as I have to leave my son behind with my mom and he'll wait until I return with baby surprise! The doctor also told me it was a baby girl-and he said his predictions are usually right! I kinda believe him but- w/o an ultrasound I dont know. Things are great babys down and ready to go, Im super excited to get this over and done with and come home with baby!! Take care all~

March 1st,2008- 38 wks + 3days!

So me and Jeremiah are now in our capital city of Yellowknife (since 25th) now we have to play the waiting game on baby. I'm hoping next week labor will come-I have my prenatal check-up on Mon. March 3-maybe they'll let me knw if I have any signs cuz I sure dont feel any-a little pressure once and a while but thats it! I miss my son so much, hes back home with his grandparents, and calls to ask if baby came out yet. So I will keep you all updated, Take care & stay well.

March 8,2008 (39 wks +3 days) BIRTH DAY...OF OUR DAUGHTER.

Contractions started at 6am, and I went into the hospital at 12 noon, and I was 4 cm...they got closer and stronger and by 1pm I felt pressure and they came at 1 min apart...Pushing for 15 mins and I gave birth to a baby girl at 1:58pm!! 8 hour drug-free natural labor went well~

Brooklyn Marie is her name weighed in at: 7lbs 51/2 oz & 50 cm long!

She is such a blessing and I'm so happy she is out and in our arms....I flew back home on March 10th and Mathew met his little sister and was extremely happy and calls her our little "princess"...we are doing great!

Mar 26th First Smile....Shes so adorable!!
