Birth story: I woke up having irregular contractions at about 8:00a.m. on June 30th. I had a schedulaed Dr.'s appointment at 1:00, so I figured I would mention it to them. When I got there my reg Dr. was caught up in a delivery at the hospital so i saw a different Dr. who checked me and said I was 3 1/2 cm dialated and 70% effaced he told me that is good progress and that I should keep an eye on the contractions, and he joked that if I really did go into labor, that my reg Dr. was on call at the hospital. So I came home and my contractions were getting closer and more intense, so I started to time them and they were about 3-7 minutes apart and they were aprox 45-70 seconds long. This went on for from about 3:20 p.m. until my husband came home at 5:00. When he got home I called the hospital and they told me that I could come in for a labor check. We got to the hospital at about 6:30 p.m. and they admitted me at about 9:00 p.m. I did not get the epidural until about 45 min before I gave birth because the nurse kept putting it off so I could have the better of the two anistiologists (sp?) So needless to say I pretty much labored with out one. then after 6 pushes at 2:05 a.m. my daughter was born. She was 6 pounds 15 ounces and 19 1/2" long with an APGAR score of 9. We were able to come home on Thursday July 3.

6-30-08 Woke up this morning with irregular strong contractions, went to Dr. for reg appointment I am now 3 1/2 cm and 70% effaced and the Dr. said that there was "bloody show" and b/c my reg Dr. got caught up at the hospital I saw someone else, and they joked that if I go into labor She is on tonight. now at 3:30 they are coming closer togther I wonder if this coul be it....yikes!!! Heartrate was 150 and I weighed 164.

6-28-08 Had my 2nd baby shower today... Yeah I got lots more stuff!!!

6-27-08 Went to the hospital today for a non stress test because I have felt decreased movement in the past few days. They monitored me for 2 1/2 hrs and did an ultrasound to check the fluid around the baby, everything looks good. What a relief!!!

6-25-08 Went to dr. today for this horrible, horrible itching all over my body. I have a severe case of PUPPP, a rare pregnancy rash. Not fun!

6-23-08 Had appointment today. lost 2 pounds, still 3cm and 50% effaced.

6-16-08 I had a Dr. appointment today. The first of the weeklys. Heartbeat was 150. She said that her head is in place and I am 3cm dialated and about 50% effaced. Oh my, it's getting close now :)

6-2-08 Had Dr. appt today I weigh 168 and heartbeat was 178.

5-12-08 Went to Dr.s heartbeat was 152. I weigh 156. Had the ultrasound. she weighs 3 pounds 15 ounces!!!! they guess she will weigh 7 pounds 13 ounces by birth...we will see. Her growth is right on track for my due date. It was so comforting to hear. We also saw her "breathe" they said she is a lazy "breather" hehe.

4-21-08 Had a Dr.'s appt today. heartbeat was 156, and i now weigh 152. The Dr. wants me to have another ultrasound to check her growth, since I have not felt her move as much as I was feeling her.

4-11-08 I have not really felt the baby move that much in the past week, I was getting nervous and loosing sleep, so I called the Dr. and they had me come in for fetal monitoring. They monitored me for about 20 min. I could hear the heartbeat the whole time, it was soooo reassuring. I could hear her kicking the monitor,(which was a lot!) but could not feel it. the Dr. looked at my ultrasound pics, and told me that my placenta was in the front, so she has to kick harder, or be in the right position for me to feel it. So needless to say, I feel 100% better! it was nice to hear her moving, even though I couldn't feel it

3-29-08 Had another appointment today, heartbeat was 158 and Dr. says we are having a very healthy pregnancy...whoohooo

3-10-08 Had an appointment today, her heartbeat was 152. She was funny, she kept running away from the doppler, the nurse was laughing. everything looks good.

2-11-08 Had our ultrasound today....it's a girl!!!!!!!! Heartbeat was 168. it was so cool to see her moving all around. She looks nice and healthy. Yeah!!!!!! I am so glad to know everything is good. I go back again March 10.

2-4-08 Had another appointment today. went great. heartbeat at 160 now. everything looks good. I find out the gender in one week. I can not wait!!!!!

1-8-08 Appointment went well. heartbeat is 172. I go again in 4 weeks, and i go on February 11th to find out the gender.

12-18-07 We had our first "real" Dr.'s appointment today. Yeah! We heard the heartbeat (177) I go back again in 3 weeks....yipee!!!

11-26-07 My Husband and I were married on November 15, 2003 and started trying for a family shortley after that. We could not conceive on our own and had to turn to a Reproductive specialsit. We started our fist IVF cycle on Oct 8, 2007 and low and behold I'm Pegnant!!!! We had our fist ultrasound today and my little ones heartbeat is 151. Yeah!!! I am due on July 12, 2008. So far I have experianced occaisonal naseau (no vomiting yet...knock on wood) and quite a bit of exhaustion.
