Found out in week 9 that we are having twins! Amazing.The first words out of my mouth...'oh my God.'
Today is the mark of my 14th week and have an appt and u/s. Get to see the 'babies' for the 3rd time! They are growing so fast!

My, oh my! My belly is growing at an amazing pace! I `m in my 19th week and look like I am full term to have one baby. :) Tomorrow I go to my Dr. appt for my monthly check up and u/s. If she can `t tell us what we `re having, we `ll for sure find out on the 8th of Jan from the hospital twin screening. It `s very exciting and it will be like just finding out that I `m having twins all over again. I/we couldn `t be happier.

I had an u/s and checkup yesterday. We were really hoping to find out what the sex of the babies are. Unfortunately, the u/s machine is not so good. It was very fuzzy. The doctor said that if we had to `guess `, baby a is a girl and baby b looked like he had a `hanger-downer `. Is that a medical term that I haven `t ever heard of? :) It was rather funny at the time. Now I really want to know. We `ll find out on Tuesday for sure. I `ve been feeling pretty good. The babies have been moving quite a bit lately. I sat down and played the piano yesterday before my appt and they were dancing in my belly. :)

Today, January 8th, we had our 20 week ultrasound at the hospital. Everything looks great. We also found out that we are having a boy and a girl. We couldn `t be happier. My best friend Francesca was there as well. She traveled from Houston, Tx to see what we were having. Our little girl will be named after her.Wednesday, 23 Jan
It `s been a while since my last update and things couldn `t be progressing better. Both babies are very active and have been making their presence know every chance they get. I love it, though. Two days ago I ended up with what looked like an aliens belly. My little girl was shoved right up to my left side and made the craziest looking bump. My belly has grown quite a bit in just two weeks. It `s getting harder and harder to do the simple things like roll over in bed and get out of our comfy sofa! I have gained a new shelf! It `s easier to hold my cereal in the morning! :)Friday, 25 Jan
My new favorite pasttime? Watching my belly in the morning after breakfast. I could sit there all day...It `s nice because I can tell which is which, so far. Both babies are extremely active. I think they are practicing for the circus!Thursday, 31 Jan
Had another u/s yesterday and things are looking great! Babies are about 9 1/2 inches long and results from scan 3 weeks ago looked good. Everything is developing the way that it should be and Dr. is very pleased with my progress. I measured 29 inches from top to bottom. She said I was the size of an 8 month pregnant woman. Yikes! She said it was good! :)I `m up 14 1/2 lbs at 23 weeks. I can `t wait to see them! I love you, babies!Monday, 18 Feb
I had an u/s at the hospital this morning. Both babies are looking good. Baby A has switched positions and her head is now to my right curving around to my left side. The are both 2 lbs already!!!! Around 12 inches long. I can `t believe how fast they are growing! Last night, my dh set the remote on my belly before going to bed and baby b (our boy) started kicking it. It was literally being knocked off! As for baby A (our girl), she loves kicking me in the bladder! Lovely children....beating their mother!I have another u/s at my Dr `s. office tomorrow. I can `t wait to see what she thinks about their size! They are measuring at 26w3d. Hmm...I `m only 25w5d.Sunday, 24 Feb
Yesterday was quite a fun-filled day. I `ve been experiencing `the wave ` from our son. I think he `ll be a champion surfer! That or I `ve been watching to many 80 `s movies! I watch this wave go from my left side and cruise all the way over to the right. Little Francesca has been tap dancing on my `hoo-ha ` area making it feel like she is going to fall right out of there. It `s not painful...just irritating! I love them still!Tuesday, 26 Feb
I had my gestational diabetes test today. Had to drink the `tropical punch ` delight! Made me sick to my stomach and thought I was going to be sick waiting for my appt. I also had to have my RH shot today (since I am AB-). I thought it was going to hurt worse but it was ok. The Dr. is very pleased with the weight of the babies and their progress. Francesca has flipped once more and now both have their heads on my left side. Checked my cervix and it appears to be `nice and thick and sealed tight `. Measured at 34 wks. I have another twin screening at the hospital and dr. office on the 13th before I leave for MI & OH for my baby showers. Can `t wait!!! I get to see all of my sisters and the rest of my family.

Well, Eric finally saw his babies move! It was from across the room! Looked like they were playing `kick mommies belly as hard as you can and run to the other side! ` He was very excited to finally see them since that `s all I talk about is how much they move around. Shortly after that I made him put his hand on my belly and they were kickin away! I wish I had a picture of his face! Pure joy! I `m so glad that I can give him everything that he has always wanted in a family. I love him so much!Wednesday, 12 Mar
Had a funny morning! The babies woke their daddy up while mommy was `spooning ` him. They were both kicking and moving around like crazy! I guess they wanted to give him a hug!Thursday, 13 Mar
Just got home from the hospital. I had an u/s screening. Both babies are absolutely beautiful!!!! Baby A (girl) is measuring 2lb 10 oz and Baby B (boy) is measuring 3 lb 2 oz. .They are both head down, now and I am praying to have them naturally. If not, I `m ok with that too. Heart rates are both at 156. Did I mention that my babies are absolutely BEAUTIFUL?!!!!!!Thursday, 13 Mar
I had a follow up with my Dr. today and she said that the gestational diabetes test came back negative! AMEN!!!My hemoglobin (sp?) was 11.2. She said excellent, especially for twins. Iron check was good as well. I start seeing her now every week and will start my NST `s in two weeks at the hospital. Those will be every two weeks. She is very happy with my progress. Just got back from MI and OH. I had a baby shower in Mt. Pleasant, MI at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. My sisters Lori, Mary, Heidi, Tricia and my mom gave me a great shower! There were approximately 35 people there from all over MI and IN. I received enough clothes to never have a naked baby for the first year and so many beautiful handmade quilts and blankets. I can `t wait to put it all in the nursery. We had fresh fruit, yogurts, bagels with different creamed cheeses, muffins and cupcakes for dessert! The shower was from 10a.m. to noon so it was absolutely perfect!On Sunday I was given a shower by my sister in law and mother in law. It was in Findlay, OH. There were probably 10 people there that I didn `t know but were friends of my m-i-l and we couldn `t have had a better time. The games were great and the conversation was never ending. We had chicken salad croissants, fresh fruit skewers, veggies and dip, three tiers of yummy treats (eclairs, cupcakes and other pastries), artichoke dip and so many other great treats to mention!The gifts were beautiful and received quite a bit in gift certificates sent from people that couldn `t attend from both showers. I can `t wait to shop!!!!!Overall, I had a very fun weekend!Tuesday, 25 Mar
Ended up going to the hospital last night at about 9:15pm. I started having contractions at 7pm-15 minutes, then 10 minutes, then every 5 for the last hour. They were lasting about 2-3 minutes each. Not fun! Went in and had the babies monitored. They were doing fine but I had to get a shot to stop the contractions. They also did a swab and ran a test to see if I was going to go into labor in the next 10 days. It came back negative. Thank you Lord, Jesus!!!Was there for about 3 hours and then I was able to go home. Never so happy to be home and in my own bed. What a nightmare. Now I am on strict bedrest with bathroom priveledges only. Uggh. My mom will be here though in nine days and will stay with me until the end of May. My husband and I are very happy about that. She is a great help!Thursday 27 March
I had a weekly checkup today and found that I am still dialated to a one but am 50% thinned out! I hope to keep the babies in there at least until week 35. My dr. said that if it is before that time I would have to be taken to a different hospital 45 minutes away! I `m used to my 10 minute drive! Oh well.. whatever it takes to keep the babies safe!

It's about time that I figured this new format out. They have changed quite a few things on the website and I have lost alot of entries. So, this will be extra long :)
I had a 33rd week screening at the hospital today. It went pretty well. Although Francesca was face down and not wanting to have her picture taken.
The weight of the babies are:Francesca (a) 4lb 5oz Evan (b) 4lb 7oz.
They have grown so much and I can tell with the amount and strength of their kicks and movements. Daddy is getting pretty excited. He's been working on getting the nursery finished up as far as the wood floors go. We had to wait to finish them until the roof was fixed. We had a leak and didn't want to chance it leaking again into the room with the floors being newly finished. This weekend we will be able to move the furniture in and filling up the new shelves.
Grandma Hill came last wednesday and will be staying until the end of May. With me needing to be on bedrest and having 3-4 appts a week, it's all I can do to get a shower! I'm very tired every day.
To say the least, we have been eating very well and the laundry and cleaning have been kept up on.
I LOVE ICE CHIPS!!!!!!
Eric and I had our second of three classes at the hospital last night. So far we have covered labor and delivery, breast feeding and c-sections. Placentas are not pretty!
I have an appointment with the dr. in about 45 minutes so I'll have to write later. Maybe we'll find out today what the chances are of still having a natural birth or if we need to schedule a c-section. I'm praying for the natural birth but whatever it takes to have healthy babies! I love our babies!!!!!

Had my regular once a week visit with my dr. today. Measuring now 43 cm. Still dialated to a 1, 50% effaced. Sooooo ready to see these babies and to get them out of my belly. My weight gain to date is 36 lbs. I can hardly walk now because Francesca is so low and hitting a nerve. I can hardly lift my left leg. Good thing my mom is here. She has to even help put my underpants on! So depressing. My dr. is certain that I will go before week 38 but I'm no feeling very optimistic. I'm miserable right now and it's hard to keep my spirits up. Just want to cry.........
Monday, 28 April
Went in to the hospital to have an NST ran. I haven't been feeling Francesca move for the last few days. Got a little worried so the RN told me to come in. Better to be safe than sorry. Was able to come home after finding that she had 5 accelerations in a little over 20 minutes. This made me very happy. I will go back for my regular appt one day early on Thursday for my next one. Hopefully they will be here by then! Cross our fingers!!!! : ^ )

Had my weekly visit to the dr. today. I am still only 1 cm dialated but about 80% effaced! Another shocker after the ultra sound.....they are both head down! We didn't see that coming at all! So- the dr. doesn't think that I will make it until week 38 but we set up an appt for the 14th of May just in case to either be induced or to have a c-section! That's exciting. I can't believe that the day is almost here!!!! Alot of pressure and moving around. Now that I know where they are I can tell again who-is-who! Yesterday I went to the hospital because I thought I was going in to labor. It must have been the pains from her switching around.
Tuesday, 6 May
I had an NST this morning and everything looks good! Both babies are doing wonderful! When the nurse called my dr. to give her the results, she was asking every question as to whether or not she had a reason to deliver me today! She knows how bad I want them here. I love her!
Also had an ultrasound at the hospital at 1p.m.. Francesca is measuring 5lb9oz and Evan is measuring 6lb!!!! I can't believe that I have that much baby in my belly.
It's getting harder and harder to sleep on either side but there is no way that I can sleep on my back. Not too much longer. Both babies are head down but now Frankie has pushed Evan out of the way and is completely centered and on a mission! :)
Thursday, 8 May
Had my weekly visit today with Dr. Chuppa and now dilated to a 2! Wow....I would have liked a little more progress but I'll take it. I would love to deliver this weekend but the 14th isn't really all that far. At least I know that I will be holding them a week from now. That's exciting!
Both are still head down and have decided to deliver vaginally on the 14th. My appt is at 7a.m. and looking forward to an induction! AMEN!!!!

hi,just saw your message on twinboys profile. we had our twin boys on may 14th also!.had a vaginal delivery but luckily noone pushing on my pelvic bone. poor you. hope you have recovered now. be great to hear how you and your babies are progressing.

Wow the 14th!! Right around the corner. This will be your last kidless weekend. Our babies will be exactly 3 weeks apart. I like Wednesdays. I was born on a Wednesday, Harrison was born on a Wednesday and my twins were too......and now your babies are scheduled on a Wednesday!! Good luck to you Girl...I will be thinking of you :)))))
