Hello there! Congrats on the little bundle of joy! My name is Monica, and YES i am a teenage mom! Please don't judge me because of this. I am very mature for my age, and have never been treated like one of the kids. I've always wanted kids, but i didn't expect to get one this early.My boyfriend and i are now enjoying our first child, and it's a little BOY! He was not planned but i don't regret that i'm having a baby at such a young age.Chris and I have been together off and on for 2 years, mostly on though. Chris is my world. I love him with everything that i am. Chris and I have known each other for about 10 years. we were best friends all through elementry school and Jr. High. But then he moved to a different school just as he started high school, so we lost touch for awhile. Every chance when i saw him i would stop in to say hi and see how he was doing. Then the summer after my sophomore year, i stopped into see him one day, and things just went from there! We named our son ♥Conner William♥. We have always planned to name our first son with the same initials as Chris. So, we have Christopher William, and that's how we got Conner William.(we couldn't find another 'W' name that fit lol) He was born on February 25,2008 ♥

Birth Sotry

I got up at about 10:30 and went and had breakfast with my mother. During the duration of breakfast i felt like i had a lot discharge, so i was in and out of the bathroom every 10 minutes or so. We got home and i was having a really strange feeling contraction. But it went away, so i went to go lay down for awhile. I was still in and out of the bathroom, and so when i sat down on the toilet i got a little trickle, so i put on a pad and went downstairs and told my mom that i think my water was leaking. So my mom called the doctor on call and told them what was going on. When i went back upstairs sat down on the side of the bed and let out alittle cough...the GUSH. So i yelled and told my mom that my water had just broke. So we started our way to the hospital. My water had broke at 12:55pm. I went straight to admitting and signed all the paper work, then upstairs into the bed and strapped to all the monitors. The nurse hooked me up to the first dose of penicillin, which i got every for hours. My contractions hadn`t started to pick up so at 4pm the nurse had me walk around the halls for an hour, So at 5 the nurse told me that i needed to eat becuase at 6 they were going to start the pitocin drip. My pitocin drip was started and now it was a matter of trying to get some rest. I was having regular contractions every 2-3minutes. They weren`t really painful but they were defintely regular. So at about 9:30 i decided that i should try to walk some more so that the contractions would get stronger. They were defintely getting stronger i only made it around the floor once. So I got back to my room and got on a birthing ball, those things are amazing!!! I sat on it for about half an hour, then got back into bed and tried to sleep through the contractions. Conners heart rate keep dropping really low and wouldn`t come up, so i was on oxygen and they decided that they were going to put in internal monitor on his head. O man did that hurt. At about 1:45 i had a dose of statol which made me really loopy and kind of out of it. Then it started to wear off and at 2:45 i got another dose. The second dose wasn`t as affective so i asked for my epidural. I finally got my epi at 4am. I was having such painful contractions that i didn`t even feel the needle going into my back. I was trying not to move. Epidurals are amazing, instant relief, so finally i fell asleep and started to rest. At about 6am i told my nurse that i has having so much pressure. She checked me and i was 100% effaced 0 station and was at a 10. She told me that she was going to go call my doctor and tell her to come cuz baby was right there. At around 6:45 my doctor came in and checked me and was o wow he`s coming. She told me to push a when i felt my next contraction so i did and you could see he hair. At 7am is was time to start all the real pushing. At around 7:20 my OB was paged to come back in the room for a delivery. I pushed for a total of 37 minutes and out came Conner William. He was in the NICU because of he was breathing weird and his head trauma was so severe from being born. He was there for 8 hours. Talk about the worst feeling ever....When he passed all his test he got to come into my room!!!

before i was a mom

before i was a mom i never tripped over toys or forgot the words to a lullaby
i didnt wory weather or mot my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before i was a mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete controol of my mind and thoughts.
I sleped all night
Before I was a mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors
could do tests
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before i was a mom i never held a sleeping baby just because i
didnt want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when i couldnt stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that i could love someone so much.
I never knew that i would love being a mom.
Before i was a mom - i never knew the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didnt know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didnt know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didnt know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before i was a mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minuets to make sure
all was ok.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment of the satisfaction of being a mom.
i didnt know i was capable of feeling so much before i was a mom.
and before i was a grandma, i dint know that all those "mom"
feelings more then doubled when you see that little bundle being held by
"your baby"....
