WE ARE EXPECTING A LITTLE BOY!
January 16th -
I think we were more shocked to find out it is a boy because we have 2 girls! We just expected to hear it was a girl. We are thrilled to be able to bring a boy home! Third times a charm they say! God is good and He has a plan, we just follow!
My husband and I are in our thirties now and this will definitely be our last child, so we are anxious, but then again I like to enjoy each day because I will never experience this again. I love feeling him move around and seeing my belly grow each day! It's a miracle and we are fortunate that God allowed us to be his parents!
Good luck to all you other preggo's out there!

Kason Adam! That is our son's name! We have finally agreed on a name and I am in love with it. It's unique and so sweet. My hubby's middle name is Adam so that is where that comes from, and Kason means "Pure". I just found this name and loved it. There is no rhyme or reason to it other than we just fell in love with it when we heard it. Kason had me up all night last night. He just plays while I try to sleep and then sleeps all day while I'm working! We will have to fix that once he gets here! I am feeling great and can't wait to hit the 6 month mark this coming Sunday! We are so blessed. When Kyle and I first married we got pregnant right away and miscarried at about 5 weeks. Immediately we became pregnant again that following month and we miscarried at 10 weeks with that one. So we had resigned to the fact that maybe it wasn't meant to be for us to have another baby. God blessed us with a daughter each and we were both fine with that and all of us becoming a family. Then after 5 years of marriage we decided to give this one more try because the desire to have a child together was so intense. The timing seemed so right for us and where we are in our marriage. I just couldn't wait to get past those first 12 weeks, and after they went by, I found myself worried about the next and the next! Once I felt my baby move the first time, I KNEW God was in control and I needed to give it all to Him. I find myself thinking how very fortunate we are to be able to have this child. There are so many out there without children that would love to have one of their own. I do not take for granted what God has given me and my family. I love my husband with all my heart and cannot wait to see him hold his son for the first time and watch him raise him to be the man he should be! That brings tears to my eyes.

Well I'm finally at the 6 month mark this week and I'm feeling great! Kason seems to be doing just fine. I go to my doc on the 13th next week and I'm excited to see how he is progressing. Yesterday was my birthday and I was oh so moody all day. I'm pretty sure I was driving my husband crazy all day long. I was SO pregnant emotional and just couldn't seem to shake it at all. I sat at my desk and cried all day for no real reason. I've been fine, and then all the sudden this came on! Also, my lower back has been causing me such pain, especially when I am lying down and then I stand up, it like locks up on me! It is horrible. I just take tylenol and lay on my heating pad and pray it goes away. I am carrying him in my back and I know this is going to only get worse, but he is worth all the pain! I just want him to be okay and I will be fine! I will update after my next doc appt.

We had a little scare this week. I started bleeding just a little bit, so I decided to go into the doctor. She said that my placenta is very low right next to my cervix and that is why I saw a little bit of blood. Not to worry though because she says that the placenta will only move upwards, so it should be okay in a few weeks. I go back for another u/s on March 10th to see where the placenta is at that time! Pray for me that it does go up! I don't want a C-Section! Not at all! We've got alot going on right now, we are selling our home and moving into a new one, so I have a lot of stress to deal with. Kason is fine! He was sucking on his toe in the u/s! Oh SO cute! He seems to be fine, so I'm trying to stay positive and just do as the doctor says! TAKE IT EASY!! That's easier said than done when you are a busy person! Thanks for all the prayers and support!

Things are still going good! No cramping or bleeding whatsoever, thank the Lord! I am excited about this weekend. Tonight I am going to go register for my baby showers. It so much fun to go run around the store and click on anything you want! Who knows if I'll get all of it, but it's still so much fun!! Then tomorrow night I'm going to eat at the Melting Pot! It's a fondue restaurant we have here in the city, and let me tell you something, it's the BEST food EVER!! Not just because I'm pregnant either! I'm looking forward to the food and the fact that my aunt's and cousin and my mom are all going! It should be a fun girls evening together. We are celebrating my birthday and my mom's! It's hard for us all to get together because we all live so far apart, so this is going to be special! Well, Kason is moving more and more each day. Instead of pokes, I feel body parts moving now! I love it so much. We also have a blessing! Today a couple is signing a contract on our house! I can't wait to get into our new home and decorate Kason's nursery and the girl's rooms! How exciting! God is good, ALL THE TIME! Have a blessed weekend!
February 21st -
It's been an emotional, exciting, scarry week for us! We have actually sold our home and do NOT yet have a home to move into when this one closes! Kinda scarry, but I know the Lord is in control and I'm just praying that God will give us peace and we will follow His lead! We have a couple of houses we are interested in, so we will be looking into those more this weekend. My husbands grandmother passed away on Tuesday morning, so we are dealing with that greif as well this week. It's kind of a roller coaster of emotions in our house! Baby Kason is doing just fine. He has really started to show his sleep and awake patterns lately! This morning my husband and I laid in bed and watched him move around. That is the most precious thing! Only 2 more weeks until my 3D/4D ultrasound AND my baby shower! I'm getting so ready to decorate a nursery for him! We have registered and are going to decorate his room in a "baby farm" theme. It's baby horses, calves, sheep, and tractors! I love it! We will have little boots and cowboy hats hanging in the nursery as well! I think it's precious! Daddy is SO excited about it! Well, just over 100 days to go until my precious son gets here! I can't wait to see who he looks like! This is going to be such a wonderful chapter in our lives! So much to do in the next 3 months before he gets here!!!!

99 DAYS TO GO!!!! YEAH! Well, things are going good with Kason. He seems to be having a good ol' time in there. Things are moving along with the house selling, but we are still waiting on a answer for the buying of a house! There isn't much more to report at this time! I will update more next week after my first birthing class! Exciting!!!!
March 10th -
WOW! We had a Great weekend! I had my 3D ultrasound on Saturday and my little man is sooo precious! I will put some pic's on my site this evening. I also had one of my baby showers this weekend and it was a blast! We had a great turn out and people were so gracious to us. We were really blessed to get alot of necessities! We didn't have ANYTHING before the shower and now we have almost everything we need! I am going to the doctor today for my 4 week checkup and they are going to check my placenta by vaginal ultrasound and see if it's moved up from last visit! I am praying that it has because I do not want a c'section! I will do whatever is safe for Kason, but I prefer to have a vaginal birth again! Kason really is doing great! It was amazing to watch him play with the cord and put his little fingers in his mouth, and play with his feet! I just couldn't believe how big he is getting already! I love him so much!!
March 18th -
Lots going on in the Cory House lately! We did get the house we put an offer in on, so that is a praise. We still have to go through all the legal stuff with the bank to get it closed, and we would like to get that done on the same day as we close on our old home, so we still need your prayers please! It's not over until the pregnant lady sings girls!! Kason has REALLY grown lately. I can feel certain body parts and he is playing sports in there, I swear it! Yesterday I don't think he stopped going for HOURS! This morning he's been sleeping pretty good, I think he wore himself out! I'm so excited that I will have a nursery for him when he gets here! I just can't pick a color yet! That's tough to do, especially for a boy! My husband left for another job in the field, so I'm trying to pack at 7 1/2 months pregnant! Isn't that fun! Maegan helps me a ton though and I don't think I could make it with out her! We painted our toenails 2 nights ago and we just laughed so hard at the fact that I could NOT breath while I was painting. You just have to take a deep breath and go for a toe! HA! Not much to update on. I did pass my gluecose testing, but my iron is low, so I'm taking a supplement now. CONSTIPATION CITY!! Yuck!!! My doc will check my placenta to see if it's moving up on March 26th, next week. I'm anxious to see if it has! I pray it is.. I'll post then, thanks for listening to me ramble! :)
April 3rd -
We have had SOOO much going on the past 2 weeks! I feel as though I'm going to go insane at some point. We moved last week into a new home, which was insane being eight months pregnant in the first place. I think we are crazy!! I also started bleeding and had to go in to get checked in Labor & Delivery. Kason is fine, my placenta is just very low. I will probably have to have a Csection which really stinks! On top of it all I have a tooth that is giving me some problems and it hurts so bad. Our dental insurance doesn't start up until May 1st, so I have to play the waiting game. My daughter is student of the month for April! I'm so proud of that! She's doing well in school and given all that's going on, I'm very happy with the way she is staying focused! God knows I'm not focused at all right now. My husband left again for another job and will not be back for awhile, so that's been pretty trying. I got my belly pictures in and I LOVE THEM! I think they look better than any I've ever seen! This photographer took his time and worked so well with us. I can't wait to put them up in our new home! I started decorating the nursery last night. My cousin came over to help me put together his new dresser. We had so much fun! It looks great in there. All I need now is his crib! Well, I will update again after my next appt! I'm seeing the doctor every 2 weeks now, so I will be back in on April 8th!
April 8th -
Went to my doctor today. I'm measuring 34 weeks instead of 31. He's going to be a big boy I think. I've gained 28 pounds so far, which isn't bad, but isn't great either! We will have another sonogram on May 7th to see if my placenta has moved at all, and at that point we will schedule our C-section if need be. Pray that it does whatever God would have it do. I just want what's best for baby and me. I don't have much more news than that. His heartbeat was in the 140's and he was punching the doppler! He's doing great so far! :) I'm just happy for that!!
April 15th -
We finally got Kason's crib on Sunday and we recieved his bedding yesterday by UPS! I LOVE IT! When I have the nursery ready I will post a pic on my site! I'm so very proud of his room! It's starting to feel SO real now. We are in our new home, rooms are starting to be put together (slowly, but surely!), and I'm starting to feel the little man very low! He is definitely head first, not that it matters if I am scheduled to have a Csection, but it's good to know that he knows which way he should be pointed! HA! He's starting to slow down a bit because there isn't much room left in there to move around. Only around 6 more weeks until we deliver him!!! I can't wait to see who he looks more like. I can bet he's going to look like daddy! I go back to the doc on April 21st (next Monday) and I'll update then!
April 22nd -
We went to the doctor yesterday and Kason is head down and in position. His hb is in the 140's and he has been pretty active, so he seems to be doing just fine in there. I haven't gained any weight since my last visit so that is pretty good! My blood pressure is low and I don't have any swelling yet. I also had my church baby shower last night and it was wonderful. I recieved a ton of clothes for my little man and the hostesses bought me a travel system stroller and car seat. It was very sweet of them. I also got a bassenet and it's so wonderful. I put it right next to my bed and can't wait to place him in it! It feels so real with all of his little furniture in the house! We all had a great time and it was nice to be able to celebrate Kason and his coming soon!! When I got home I couldn't go to sleep, I had to wash all the clothes, rags, bibs, and blankets and get them hung up in his nursery. My husband and I sat in his nursery getting his dresser situated and ready for him to come home to! It was really nice to be able to do that with my hubby since he's rarely home! We enjoyed our time together talking about our future with our children! I know he's going to be a wonderful father to this little boy as he has been to our two girls!
May 7th -
Appt went good today. Kason weighs in at 5'12, and is measuring about 36 1/2 weeks. He has a full head of hair, and was sucking the back of his little hand like crazy! My placenta hasn't moved at all, so we are scheduling a c=section for the end of May. Only 3 more weeks until I meet my little man! How awesome is that!! I'm soo ready for him to be here. Kyle was able to be there with me and it was great! We were told exactly what to expect with the c'section and that we would be in the hospital for 4 days. I still don't have any swelling, and my blood pressure was 110/70. I feel pretty good other than my body is starting to ache and I'm have a few contractions here and there. Nothing to go running to the l&D for, but they are becoming more intense each time. I will update again next week after that appt!
May 11th -
Went into Labor on the 8th at 12:30pm, drove myself to the hospital bleeding. My doctor decided it would be best for both of us to go ahead and take Kason via c=section that day. Kason was delivered at 3:11 on May 8th. He weighed in at 6'1 and was 19 inches long. He has had some breathing issues, so they are keeping him in NICU unit for a little while. They have him on a CPAP machine and had to put a port in his chest due to his left lung was collapsing. They did that Friday night, this morning (which is Sunday) they took him off just to see how well he can do without it. I haven't been back to check, but when I do I will update more. He is however starting to digest his feeding better. All signs of improvement so far. Please keep praying for him though. He needs to build up strength for the weeks to come. Thank you all for your support and kind words!! XOXOXO

Well, it's been crazy around here the last month! Having Kason here has kept me busy and life has been moving so fast now. I feel like a cow because I'm pumping and feeding so much and so often! It's constant and never stops! I feel like I need a break. BUT, the moment I leave him with my mom or husband, I freak out and feel the need to rush back to him!! Isn't motherhhood wonderful?!!! I absolutely LOVE my son to death!! He is amazing and does something new everyday!! I've decided to stay at home for a while with my children instead of heading back to work so soon. I don't want to miss out on my son's first year of life and I can't imagine leaving him with a stranger for 8 hours a day with all he has been through! I just can't do it. He eats every 3 to 4 hours right now and is NOT sleeping through the night AT ALL~~~
i cant wait to come home with a full carseat :] he looks so comfy :D
daddy's so proud of his little man :]
What a cute little man! So glad to hear you and Kason are home and doing well!
Too cute! Is that outfit from Carter's? It looks like the teddy bear layette...I almost bought it to bring Caden home in! So glad that you and your little man are home. ENJOY HIM!
sorry to ask... but why did he born premature!
He is gorgeous! Congrats
Oh my gosh! He is too adorable, I'd have to hug him and squeeze him all the time! He must be really happy being home, a pound in less than a week! Wow! You go Momma! Good Job!
How beautiful. Congrats on bringing your little angel home! We brought ours home Wed and I did not sleep a wink the first night. I relax a tiny bit more each night! Good luck.
