i am 14 weeks today and i feel huge..i kinda think im having twins but i will see...i go to the dr.s on the 19th and hopefully we can hear the heartbeat it is the first appointment the daddy will go to so i hope he can hear it!!!

well i had my drs appointment yesterday and everything was fine they checked the heartbeat it was 153 and i asked him about twins so he gave me un ultrasound and there is only one thank god then i went home and a lil while after i started to bleed alot like a period so i calle him up and he told me to come back in and see him and he went up me and checked and there is no active bleeding and he gave me a shot cuz i have negative blood and he checked the heartbeat and it was 158 so he said if it happens anymore to go up to the hospital to the l&d floor and sent me home then a lil while later it started up again so i went up to the hospital and they checked everything and said everything looked good baby was moving on ultrasound and they checked my cervix and it was closed so they said if it clots or if i have really bad cramps to come back up and they sent me home!!!!

well i have my next appointment on the 10th of january and thats my ultrasound and i hope i get to find out the sex...then i have another appointment with my obgyn on the 17th of january...im sooo excited to find out if im having a girl or a boy... good news all...my bleeding has pretty much stopped...its only spotting and i feel the baby move like crazy im not worried anymore i know the baby will be ok..well i will update again soon...ttyl bye

hey mommies...i cant wait in two weeks i get to go to my big ulrasound and hopefully i get to see if it is a boy or girl im sooooo excited!!! my bleeding stoped all the way i feel great all except the lil sickness ive been getting but it will all be ok its all worth it in the end lol!!!!

Why don't you try a formula for babies that might have certain allergies to cow's mild protein and soy protein allergies. You can try Similac Alimentum or Enfamil's Gentlease or Nutrimigen. They tend to be more pricey than reg formula but they usually do the trick

Hello, I read your comment in the vomiting babies section. My older son did that for a long time too. His probelm ended up being a dairy allergy (not intolerance). But some of the things that my doc suggested before we discovered the dairy allergy was first make sure they get smaller meals more often. So if he/she usually has 3 oz every 3 hours, try either 1.5 oz every 1.5 hours or 1 oz per hour. That way their tummy is never to full. he also suggested that I try different formulas. First i tried a lactose free formula, then went to soy. Soy worked for him b/c it was a dairy allergy. But if that isn't working for you you might want to try Altrimin(Spelling?)> It is a formula made for babies with both dairy and soy sensitivies. It does however contain both soy and dairy but the protiens are broken down so much that they don't tend to bother the babies. If it isn't reflux or and allergy it can be soemthing more serious. If your doctor is blowing you off, or not considering other options i would seriously seek a second opinion. I am sorry your little girl is having such a rough start to life. I know how stressful that can be as a mother and i hope you find solutions soon.

Your lucky to be able to go so early!!! My doctor is acting scared to induce me earlier than the 11th and I am due the 17th. I wonder why??? Did your doctor just propose the 2nd or did you ask?? My doc already estimated my baby being 8lbs already too!! So she'll be at least 9lbs or more!!! I hope she'll let me go on the 7th!!

i think they'll induce you only if something is seriously wrong with your or the baby's health. if things are ok, and you just don't want to be pregnant anymore....i would honestly let it come when it wants to. whats another few weeks? you made it this far! i've gained 60 lbs, so i know how you feel, but i would rather it stay in and finish developing its lungs and the last few lil bits than come into the world not ready. hope that helps, your decision is the best decision for you! good luck! xoxo

I believe they can only induce as early as 38 weeks unless there are some sort of problems. I am due on the 11th and they are inducing me on the 29th. which will make me 38weeks and 1 day. The ultra sounds are not completely accurate on the size of the baby. I would just talk to your dr. about it. Good Luck

Don't base it off the size of the baby, it depends on the maturity of the lungs. You could ask your doctor about them checking her lungs at your next appointment?

Mine is already 8lbs 3oz but my Doctor doesn't want him coming until 38 & 1/2 or 39 weeks

God ur so lucky. My baby has been measuring 5-6 weeks ahead of himself even on scans since the beggining and they think he is gonna be around 10lb yet they still wont talk of inducing me untill week 42! he's always been in the 90th percentile to. x

I saw your post on wk 35, and I thought I'd share my experience. At 34 wks, I had an u/s & the baby was estimated at 6.5 lbs, and they said that's "large" for being 34 wks. I'm getting another u/s next wk to determine if it's still measuring large. I'm not really sure what will happen if s/he is still large, but my dr said there's a possibility I'd need a c-section. It's not definite though. The other option is maybe they'd induce early if the baby is really large? I wouldn't worry about it too much as longas your dr is keeping track of the weight. I'm no dr, but I'm guessing that 6.5 lbs at 35 wks is on the larger side, but I don't think it's so large that we need to be overly concerned or do anything differently. Hope all goes well for you!

sry its been so long since ive updated this site wouldnt work until now...well today i am 31 weeks pregnant and i am having a baby shower in three weeks on may 4. i have been having an infection lately and the doctor had to give me an ultrasound he said that i was measuring 32 weeks when i was only 26 weeks so he wanted to check to see if she was bigger or ig it was just me and she was right here she was suppose to be he said everything looked good

I don't really have any advice for being a single parent. My mother was the single parent of two girls and did an amazing job. It was hard sometimes, but she always made it work. I guess I'm just here to say, 'You can do it.'

where in macomb do you live? I was living at 21 and heydenriech, then i moved out to roseville, but we're moving again to that side of town.
