Labor story:
I was induced at 38 weeks on June 9th at 8am. They started pitocin around 9am and I was 50% effaced and dilated to 3.5. Things started out slow. around 1pm they broke my water and increased the pitocin. Check me again at 4:30 and I was 90% effaced and dilated to 4.5. They felt another bag of water. (They said that it was the same bag, but it sealed) They broke that at 4:35 and the hard labor came with it!! By 5pm I was at 10 cm and begging to push!! I started pushing at 5:04pm and he was born at 5:07pm. I pushed twice!! I couldnt believe it!! 30 minutes of hard labor and 3 minutes of pushing! I did get the epidural, but it didnt help much because it only took on my right side. I felt everything on my left side. Thank god it didnt take long!

June 8 ~ Well tomorrow is the big day! I am being induced at 8am! I am so nervous and excited. I cant wait to see what little Brian looks like and to hear him cry, but I am going to miss my belly so much!! I will miss his kicks and the closeness between me and my husband when he holds it and speaks to him! I can't believe my pregnancy has come to an end. I spent 19 weeks on bed rest and it still flew by! I just want to thank all of you ladies out there for your support and understanding. I will post some pics as soon as I get on my feet!
June 6 ~ Went back to the doctors today for NST. Baby passed it with flying colors! I am now 3.5 cm dilated and still 50% effaced! I have cleaned my entire house and have been walking the track every night. I am scheduled to be induced this Saturday at 8am. I am hoping to get things going naturally before then! I feel great and have a ton of energy. That worries me!! I havent had any contractions at all today! It seems so real now knowing that I will be holding my little man this weekend. I can't wait!!!! I hope all is well for you ladies!
June 1st ~ I had my cerclage removed at the hospital. They kept me for 4 hours for monoitoring. I was dialated to 2cm and 50% effaced. Its so nice to be off bedrest!!

May 7th ~ I am feeling great! I have no aches and pains to complain about this week. I just wish my baby boy was here to hold! I had my baby shower on Saturday and got everything we need! I have less than 4 weeks until the stitch is removed and I will be off bedrest!! Time is flying!!

April 26 ~ Feeling large! Actually I have been feeling better than usual this week. I have a lot of pelvic pressure towards the end of the day, but besides that I can't complain! I am staying busy and thats helping. I'm having 2 baby showers, this weekend and next. I am so excited!! I've been bad and have been watching my registries like a hawk. I know what I'm getting, the surprise is not knowing who its from I guess! I go back to the doctor on Monday. I hate getting on that scale! Only 5 weeks until my stitch comes out!!yay!
31 weeks 4 days!
April 18 ~ We had our 3d ultrasound today and it was amazing!! He was being very stubborn. He is in the breech position, butt down with hands and feet over his head. I had my 30 week check up this week as well and it went very good. I just cant wait till he is here in my arms. Seeing him today made it so much more real!

April 4, 2007 ~ Went to the doctors on Monday and everything was good. I had an ultrasound, baby looks great! He weighs 3lbs 1oz already! I gained 3 more pounds in only 2 weeks! Yikes, getting big! Having major hip pain at night which is making it very hard to sleep. With that aside, i am feeling really good. Baby is very active, you can watch my belly move from accross the room! We are excited to take our birthing class. We are touring the birthing center and having dinner at the hospital on Monday night, then we are taking an 8 hour class the following Saturday.

~ March 19th - I went to the dr. today and everything was great! Heartbeat was 158 when he was still!He is very active! They are going to remove my stitch at 36 weeks which is about may 26th. I can't wait! They will then take me off bedrest. I will be walking non stop at that point because I want my baby ASAP. My gluclose was perfect and my body shows no signs of preterm labor! My husband is too cute, he's been very over protective so of course he had a bunch of questions for the doc. He's a great daddy!! We are going to dinner at the hospital on April 9th. We will then tour the birthing center and meet the other couples that will be in our childbirth preperation class on April 14th! So exciting!!! Its all starting to seem so real now. I go back in 2 weeks to have an ultrasound and see the doc. They will check his size and make sure everything is developing properly. I'm hoping he's healthy and not too big! My son was 10lbs 8oz.It was a nightmare!
~ March 16th -I will be 26 weeks tomorrow! I am off work and on bedrest since 20 weeks. I am putting on so much weight because all I do is eat and lay around. O well, Its worth it!! Things havent changed much in the last 2 weeks. I have terrible heartburn all the time. I have major insomnia and don't know why! I get so much energy around 11pm and stay up half the night. i also started getting headaches for the past 5 days straight. I go back to the doctors on Monday, so I will see what he has to say. At this appointment I will get the results from my gluclose test.I think it will come back normal. I am not having many cravings. Ice cream is my weakness, but I've been trying to avoid it because of my weight gain.This week my husband painted the nursery and he will put the border up tonight. I know its early, but i'm anxious to see it all put together. I am having 2 showers (April 28 & May 5)so I want the room ready when I bring all our new stuff home!
~ March 5- went to Dr.appointment today. Everything was great! His Heart rate was 158. He kicks the doppler everytime the doctor puts it on my stomach. Gained 6lbs since my last appointment! AHH! I am due 6-23-07. I had a cervical cerclage placed on 12-9-06 due to an incompetant cervix.I have a 9 year old son, but havent been able to carry a baby since then.This is very exciting for us!

ha ha... My baby slep in bed with us until about 2 months ago. She was sick and would vomit and I was worried of her choking. Once she overcame that I too wanted to sleep with my hubby.. ha ha. Most moms dont agree but the way it worked for me is that i rock her to sleep and then put her in her crib and she stays down. My baby still doesnt sleep through the night but either way it probably take a few days for your little guy to get used to it. You have to keep repeating it. Hope this helps.

Where the heck have you been??? Did I just read that right... ttc??? Yay! It is a cyst on the brain... That is all the dr. told me. He said it should go away within a few weeks but I am still worried. What kind did he have???

aww thanks so much for your comment!! your son is SOOOO cute!!! I love how you made his nursery too! and i see your trying to conceive again already? thats awesome but crazy at the same time!! LOL i couldnt imagine being preggo with another with maddison only being 6.5 months old! Im waiting till maddie is at least 2 before we try again. but.. if we have an oops sooner then that, its ok.. i actually thought i was this month.. but AF came, thankfully.. im not ready for #2 yet!! haha hope everything is well! how was christmas? hope you have a wonderful new years!!

hi! don't worry he will eventually develope a schedule. And just when you think it's going to stick they change it on you! haha Brooke was sleeping awesome and then this weekend decided she would wake up every 2-3hrs to eat so i haven't been getting much sleep the last 2days. im pretty sure she is having a growth spurt...but hopefully it will pass and she will be back to her old self again! Isn't motherhood awesome?

I had a lot of period like cramping, but in preterm. When I was actually in labor the contractions hurt a little. The main difference was that I had a ton of pressure in my pelvic region and I kept getting a shooting pain in my leg. To be honest though I had worse contractions before then when I was in labor. I hope something happens for you soon. I know the anticipation is killing you. Get your rest now though:)

That is awesome.. I am excited for you. Are you going to stay on the talking babies website? I get on there when he is taking naps and housework is done:) OMG Parker slept from 12 to 3 and from 3:30 to 8:30. I feel like a new woman. That is the first time he has slept for 5 hours. Well, good luck with everything. Hopefully things will keep progressing. When will they admit you at 4 cm???
