Updates and Information about Emily.

January 20, 2008

Emily is now six days old. She was born January 14, 2008 at 2:28 pm.
She weighed 6.5 pounds, 19" long. She has strawberry blonde hair and dark blue eyes. Born via c-section. She is a very beautiful and sweet baby. Her first appointment is tomorrow(monday). Can't wait to see if she had gained her weight back.

Birth story

I had a planned c-section orginally dated for January 8TH. I had an amino test done to check the maturity of Emily's lungs January 7TH. The test showed her lungs were borderline mature so I had to wait another week for the c-section. When the 14TH came around I was very nervous and excited. Time seemed to go by very slowly. Then hurray it was time. Once I got all ready to go into the OR I had to have the spinal done three times because the first time I nearly passed out , the second time the guy could not find a loose spot and finally the third time success. So once I got in position I became extremely nervous. My husband was allowed to come in , which helped. Then about 30-45 minutes later here comes baby. I felt the pressure and tugging but it didn't hurt. Then hearing her cry , wow what a moment of relief and joy. I had tears of joy and thankfulness. She looked amazing and tiny. She weighed 6.5 pounds, 19" long, strawberry blonde hair, and dark blue eyes. What a day. Once I got into the recovery room I was able to hold her next to my heart and just cuddle with her. Then the next 3 days were busy. I got to leave the hospital the third day. Never know how much you miss home once you've been in a hospital.

February 14, 2008 Valentine's Day

One month old today

Emily is now one month old.
She is doing very well, she is a little congested and now on A.R. emfamil formula because her spitting up. She is otherwise a happy and very content baby.
Next month (march) will be her two month old check up and shots.
Loving my baby girl. So happy and tired..

7 wks old march, 4, 2008

Emily is growing so fast. compared to her birth till now. She has changed so much. Her personally is really starting to show. It's neat to see. I couldn't imagine life without my two girls. It would be a little less hectic but not worth it.

March 14, 2008 - Two months old

Emily is doing so great. She is growing so fast. Her two month check up is on Monday. I am anxious to find out how much she weighs.
She hair color is getting darker but still has red in it. She is such a miracle baby. So blessed I am. Her big sister's fourth birthday was on Wednesday.
Four years goes by so fast.

Emily is now a little over two months old. She is doing great. We had a good Easter with some family.Emily is smiling all the time and cooing alot. She also is trying realy hard to laugh she does this cute little cough. It `s sweets. She gets ecited when she sees me, daddy, or Hannah. Hannah loves to play with her and tough her all the time. It `s neat to watch my girls grow, it `s bittersweet.

April 15,2008 Three months old

Emily is three months old. She is growing up so fast.
She has been rolling from one side to another. She is trying to sit up on her own.
She is also sleeping through the night. Six solid hours of sleep now. Woo Hoo !

June 7,2008 4 1/2 months old

Emily is doing great! She has super dry skin , A&D ointment is taking care of it.
Emily has been trying to sit up on her own and she is giggling and talking.
She is making cute sounds all the time. She is on rice cereal and apple juice.
One ounce of juice every other day.
Hannah and Emily do very well together. Emily loves her big sister.
Emily has her six month appt in July.

Hope everyone's babies and pregnancies are going very good.

WERE HAVING A BABY BOY !!!!! The ultrasound was AWESOME, everthing is in its place 10 fingers 10 toes 2 little eyes one little nose, and a STRONG steady heartbeat!!!

i hope to get the pictures up soon, they are so awesome

I am doing okay, counting down the days till we find out what this little angel is. It is so hott outside and not even sitting at the pool is helping, it is just to hott to do anything.
