After 3 years of trying to have a baby, the disappointments, the negative tests and miscarriages all lend me to say that I am finally Pregnant. It has been such a long road. I feel like I could write a best seller about my experiences with infertility.
For all you who are suffering from infertility, be patient. When its suppose to happen it will. Things happen for a reason and if you are not getting pregnant, there is a reason. Keep those spirits up, believe and trust me...dreams do come true!!!!
April 25, 2008...
Last night was the absolute best. The baby was moving from side to side. It felt like it was swishing around. My husband can't wait to feel it, I think he feels left out. I keep promising him that really soon he will feel it more and that will be so exciting for him.
So today was a great day. We didn't get to find out the sex of the baby :( But honestly I don't even care. We got to see the spine, the cord insert and the brain.....and it looks like everything is going to be fine with the baby. We were so worried about the possibility of a tubal nural defect....because of my AFP results. The sono showed no problems so we opted not to do the amnio. We are so happy right now. I went a bought two cute one pieced pjs and dreft...so I can wash the babys cloths as we recieve more. We registered and went to look at cribs. It is just such a relieve to know all is ok.
May 18, 2008 Found out today that my baby is a healthy little girl. I am in shock and so totally excited about that. Now we can give her a name and make her a real person...totally excited!!!!

So I got to have another sonogram today. My baby girl is 2pounds 2 ounces. She is in a frank breach position, so lets hope she moves in the next 10 weeks. I was able to see her feet, legs, nose, lips ears....toes and hands...She is already beautiful!!! Maybe im just partial because im her mother. I am sitting here and I really don't believe that she is a she ITs like a dream come true...I just want her out...I do however know she must bake a little bit longer...I will have plenty of time with her in the upcoming months....I am totally excited!!!!

Any news on the baby??? has she turned yet??? Please keep me updated. I have an US at 36 weeks as well. My doc has not talked to me about options. Ohhh well our babies will come out either way head or butt first LOL :)

I cannot beleive you are still suffering with this...ughh!
My doctor appt is tomorrow...with my lovely new diet for the next 2.5 months---eeewww, can't wait. The finger pricking should be delightful at 4x a day as well...oh I just can't wait...totally looking forward to a big piece of baby shower cake for sure! Have an awsome vacation week!

Hey Traci!
My offical new food plan begins on Sunday...saturday I see the doctor for the food plan (Sucks!) I had to go last saturday for the lesson on how to use the glucometer aka..how to inject myself 4x a day! (not happy!)
I broke down in sobs...basically had a major anxiety attack...(did I mention I am afraid of needles?!)
I couldn't pull the trigger...the nurse had to...yes, I know, I am pathetic.
Anyway, on a funny note...your bladder and mine are in good company...I am peeing every half hour or so, just a teaspoon...my little boy is also in the breach position. He is using my bladder as a punting ball, a coddle toy and a pillow. He kicks now and again...very active at night...the kicking feels weird...very weird...it makes me laugh--tickles in a way.
I hope all is well...let you know how the finger sticking/ diet goes...by the way--I went to Behrs furniture store in Massapequa...fell in love with a georgeous nursery...going to cost me like 4K...ugghh! How is the hunt going for you?

Thanks for your note! I'm doing alright. Got a little scare this week with a cold, so I'm on antibiotics and they're testing my blood for any bacteria. A "cold" (which was actually a bacterial infection) caused my m/c in Dec, so we're being cautious and proactive. Other than being all stuffy and tired, I'm great! How are you feeling?

Well thank goodness all it was was a bladder infection! I hope you have a safe trip back...rest easy.
As for the GD---boy am I in for it big time---apparantly I will need to prink myself 4x a day with a glucometer in addition to what I am sure will be a very restrictive diet...I have like 3 different appointments to get started...ugghh...well were in the home stretch and that's what's most important!

Easy does it....you have 3 months left you know! (Even though, like you I am sure, everyone is telling us time is going to fly by!) But seriously...don't hurt yourself.
Bad news-- I failed the 2nd glucose test...which means I have gestational diabetes. I now have to go to some class, get hooked up with some meter to check my blood, and go for another fasting test being on a special diet...NOT HAPPY!
Will the issues never end?!
Anyway, enough about me... I hope you have a nice 4th planned...I am looking forward to snuggling up with my husband over dinner and a good movie...

It does suck, doesn't it? All of the family feuding---its rediculous...and all I am trying to do is get through a rather difficult pregnancy...I should have planned the entire thing, and paid for it myself....Now my mom is upset and wont speak to me---it turns out --I am going to now have 2 baby showers because both parties will not comprimise...nuts right?! I have just had it! Well I am off to bed---ready for a tough day no doubt tomorrow...thanks for the happy thoughts...

Congrats on your wee girl. We also were considered infertile for 4 yrs. Went through 3 IUIs (failed) and finally two IVF with ICSI we have two daughters. After WLS I am pregnant with our third daughter. Wishing you all the best!

Thanks for the encouragement...I did all the things you mention in preparation for my last test, and my score was still sky high--(170)...Sucks! I will keep you posted on the results...
Let's see- my baby shower is currently a nightmare situation between 2 families---no one can agree on where to have it--of course money is an issue, and I am caught in the middle---I basically told everyone--- if you can't reach a comprimise, I don't want one. My mother and mother in law wants to do their own thing, so it looks like I might be having 2 baby showers...what a mess!
Anyway...I hope you are feeling good....

I am taking the classes too--Lamaze, breastfeeding and babycare...they are 5 sessions, each 2.5 hours...we even get a tour of the hospital.
On a sour note---so pissed off--failed the glucose test---heading in for the 3 hour test on monday. I hope I don't have GD.
Not much else---did you do your registry yet---we did our's at Babies R Us...so much to choose from!
