James and I just got married on July 7, 2007. We had a wonderful honeymoon so to speak, because a month later, we found out we are pregnant! We are very excited, but also very scared. :) This will be our first child so we do not know what to expect. Our first apointment is on the 20th! Just a few days away!! I can't wait for this apointment since they will be doing an ultrasound and we will be able to see the baby!

August 20, 2007:

Our James or Mazzie is just a peanut now!

08/20/07-The Apointment went well today. We are going back in 3 weeks on Sept 10th for another ultrasound!

08/31/07- Only 10 more days till we can go back! Yay! JD and I have been thinking about the idea of not finding out the gender of the baby so we can have that surprise of "It's A..." but I think that would be really hard not to find out. Plus if it is going to be a girl, I will want everything in PINK!

We have had the names picked out for awhile. I will share them, but dont steal them if you like them...haha. Since JD is the 4th generation of James Dean, we cannot end it here, so if it is a Boy... we will name him James Dean. We think Danger would be a really cool middle name. But we are having doubts....Maybe the middle name will be Robert after my father, to carry on the tradition. (plus my dad rocks!) : )

My maiden name is Mazza. I come from a family of all girls, so Mazza is no longer. If we have a Girl, we will name her Mazzie, to keep the name around. My great grandmother and I share a birthday, and her middle name was Mae, which I have always liked so there's the middle name.

So James Danger if it is a Boy,

Or Mazzie Mae if it is a Girl!

September 10th 2007:

It was amazing to see how much the baby grew in such a short amount of time! We got to see the heart beating and the unbilical cord. It was wonderful. At this appointment the doctor told us we are 9.5 weeks pregnant! Which was less than we thought. She told us the due date is April 10th! Our next apointment is on October 8th, and we are anxiously awaiting! We have not heard the heartbeat yet so we are hoping we will get to at the next apointment. :)

October 8, 2007:

Hearing the heartbeat was absolutly amazing! JD and I were all teary eyed with smiles from ear to ear! :) Although we have seen the Dean bean on the sonogram, It was so much better to get to hear that strong heart beating! We recorded the heartbeat on the camera for a bit, but then Dean bean got a little camera shy and moved. The apointment after next we get to find out if it is a boy or a girl!! Waa-Hoo!!

November 11th:

The Countdown is on...8 more days till we find out if we will have a Mazzie or a James!!! JD and I have been thinking it's a Girl lately. We are so excited to finally find out! I have been thinking a lot about the nursery lately. I want really bright colors and a Beachy theme. I would love to do pink flamingos if it is a girl. If it is a boy, I like bright blue and green sea animals.

I have not really felt the baby move. There have been a few times I think maybe it is the baby, but I don't know for sure yet. I am looking forward to the time when the baby moves, and I know for sure.

I can feel Mazzie moving everyday now, it is so amazing! She always seems to move when I'm listening to music, like she's dancing in there! :) We got the crib and bedding last week! I'm not sure yet if that is definatly the bedding we are going to use yet though. We have another apointment tomorrow, (12-18) I'll let ya know how it goes! We are trying to get ready for Christmas now and everything is CRAZY! :)

December 18, 2007

The apointment went well today! Nothing too exciting. We did get to hear her heartbeat again, that never gets old! :) The midwife said it sounds nice and strong, which is amazing to hear. She also said the belly bump is growing right on track, so that's nice to hear too. Everything is normal. Yay!

I think we have changed our mind about the pink flamingo bedding to shabby chic. I want it too look really girly and kind of vintage.

January 10th 2008

Yesterday we took the diabeties test, we will find out next Wednesday at the Dr. apointment what the results are, I'm sure they will be fine. Mazzie is moving around in my tummy all the time. I love feeling her, just knowing she is growing big and strong, the kicks show me just how strong... :)

Today is the first day of the third trimester! I can't believe how fast time is flying by! I guess I will only be getting bigger from here on out...I am outgrowing all of my maternity clothes! I feel huge! We got the car seat and stroller the other day, it really makes me feel mom-ish! :) I push it around the house all the time, like a little kid with a baby doll stroller, I can't help it. haha!

January 17, 2008:

We had another doctor's apointment a few days ago. Everything is fine, the bloodwork came back and no diabeties! Waa-hoo. Also, the belly is growing right on track still! :) Mazzie's heart sounds nice and strong. What a beautiful sound her heartbeat is...

Lastnight we were in bed and JD was playing his guitar and harmonica and Miss Mazzie was dancing in my tummy! We were laughing at how deformed she was making my belly! It was pretty cool. :)

February 21, 2008:

We had our baby shower last Saturday, It was wonderful to see all my family and friends there, it really meant so much to have them all there. Mazzie is doing good! We had an apointment a few days ago, everything is great...nice to hear! I am gaining weight like a mad woman though. I need to break my addiction to funfetti cake I suppose. :) Before the shower it seemed like I was not as anxious to get Mazzie here, I was excited of course but want to enjoy every minute I can before she gets here. Now, seeing all of her goodies makes me want her here so bad! I'm worried time will go so slow now. She has the hiccups all the time! It's so cute...I feel bad for her though because that has to get annoying! She had them twice yesterday. Hopefully baby hiccups are not as uncomfortable as regular hiccups, I think I read that somewhere? The doctor said Mazzie is head down now, I'm glad she is in the right place, I hope she stays there. We start child birth classes on Monday!! I'm really excited! JD's brother is graduating from Marine boot camp next week, so we are going to South Carolina to watch is graduation...I'm not sure how sitting in the car for that long will be but I am looking forward to the trip! Well, 2 more weeks till the next apointment....

March 04, 2008: We went to the doctor yesterday and she said Mazzie was measuring larger than she should for 35 weeks so she made an apointment to have an ultrasound done for today. The ultrasound was great, we got some great pictures of her. She has her Daddy's lips and chin, She is Beautiful! :) The tech also said Mazzie has lots of hair! Her heart was nice and strong, She is healthy! The tech confirmed that Mazzie is a girl, but she was being very modest. Mazzie weighs about 6 pounds 8 ounces right now. And the big surprise is that we are 37 weeks pregnant instead of 35! She is full term! :)

The last night I spent pregnant was the night I think I laughed the hardest in my life! JD and my brother in law Mike were singing and cracking me up. When I woke up the next morning my heart was going crazy. I felt terrible. I had high blood pressure. I was crying and said I cannot be prego anymore. I was done! DONE! I took a nap and when I woke up my water broke! 22 hours later Mazzie Mae was here...Thank Goodness.
