Hi there and congrats on the boys ... We are also expecting twin boys! Things are going pretty well except my blood pressure. So it is week by week for us. How are you doing?

Haha, yea. I just like to worry..

manda-may - Monday, 28 July
I've been told that if they do need to stay in hospital, then they get into really good routines there, so at least that is a plus. I figure they will come when they are good and ready and there is not much we can do besides take it easy, relax and go with the flow. Good luck.

Hey, I was diagnosed with a shortened cervix too. I am at 30 weeks now, and have been off work for 31/2 weeks so far. Am not on bed rest but have been told to take it easy. I know you can keep those little bubbies in there a bit longer!! If I can keep my boys in for 2 more weeks, then I can have them in local hospital I think. Good luck anyway!!

Congrats on twins! I am having twins also and my due date is the same as yours! Wow! I have 4 other children and this is nothing like those...lol....I hope everything is going great for you...we have had a few scares with my iron levels and blood pressure but nothing serious...thank god! We are having a definate boy and we think a girl! There are no distinctive male parts...our next ultrasound is this month so we will know for sure soon! Hope you are feeling great and congrats again hun!

Where you put on bedrest? anything under 2 cm you should be put on bed rest. My friend was put on bedrest for about 5 weeks and then her cervix went back up to 3cm and they allowed her to go back to work half days. Try as hard as you can to stay off your feet it will better them the longer they stay in. I believe 27 weeks they'll have to go to the NICU but should be fine otherwise. Good luck.

Hi,
This is also my second set of twins and I kept them in the same crib until about 6 months when they woke each other up. Then separate cribs but the same room. I would also wake the second up when the first woke to feed so that we kept on a "together" schedule as much as possible as those days are very hectic and tiring and giving yourself a few moments to recoup is EXTREMELY important.

Hi, have you got a multiple birth group near you that you can join? I have found talking to other twin mums is really helpful since they can give you some helpful hints, etc. They have said that you can top and tail them in one cot until they get bigger. They also run a special antenatal class for twin mums and dads which we are going to go to. I have just bought a cot so now we are sorted, but eventually I know we will have to get another. Good luck with your babies! xx
