My name is Maria and I am currently engaged to the most wonderful man in the world. We are expecting our first child on October 5th 2008 and im very excited and a little nervous, but it is well worth it.

1/27/08

My period is exactly one day late and I got to the ER for adnormal cramps. I go back and see the doctor and the doctor says that he is going to perform a urine pregnancy test and I would know the results as soon as possible.5 mins later the nurse comes in and gets 5 tubes of blood, and then 10 mins later the lady from ultrasound comes up and wheels me downstairs and performs a transvaginal ultrasound. About 4 hours later at 4 am the doctor comes in and tells me that I am pregnant and that my hcg levels are at 160 and that I seem like I am 1 to 2 weeks along, but they were a little concerned because they could not find the baby in the ultrasound but they said it wasn't abnormal not to see it at this point in time, but he was going to refer me to an ob/gyn so that I could follow up.

1/28/08

Went to the ob/gyn and they gave me a paper scheduling me an appointment for an hcg quantitive repeat in 7 days.

1/29/08

took 3 home pregnancy tests ALL POSITIVE

1/30/08

Went to the health clinic gave me another pregnancy test positive too!

2/4/08

went in to lab corps at the hospital and had a hcg quantitive blood test repeated. 2 hours later called the doctor and found out my hcg went from 160 to 8 days later to 3,268.

2/8/08

Went in to my ob/gyn repeated my sonogram, Me and Devin got to see the baby for the first (well just the sack) Devin was smiling ear to ear and I got to keep my sonograms. Baby is in the right place and progressing well. I am scheduled for an appointment for my first prenatal visit and my 2nd ultrasound on 2/22. Am very excited and looking forward to seeing the baby again!

2/22/08

Went to the Dr. and had my 2nd sonogram transvaginal were at 7 weeks 3 days they changed my due date from October 5th to the 7th. We were actually able to see the baby for the first time and the heartbeat (and not just the sack). The heartbeat was at 150 and Devin was happy to see the baby again on the monitor and of coarse came the over joyed smile. We had our prenatal battery done and everything is well.

Ok so I went to my first doctors apt with my new doctor since moving here to Illinois, all we did since I had already had my prenatal battery done was kinda just talk and she got a little history of me and changed my due date which was changed to the 7th of October back to the 5th and she went to do the routine heart doppler to hear the heart beat, well me and Devin were very excited, the doctor came back in, started looking for a heart beat, and NOTIHNG, SHE COULDN'T HEAR ANYHING , we got very scared and I asked my doctor, "Did we lose the baby" She said ummm probably not, but she wanted to do an emergency unscehuled ultrasound, just to make sure and to get the babies heart rate, well when we went back not only was the baby alive and well, but I got to get my first ON-TOP of the belly ultrasound and we got to the see the baby move, kick, move their arms and roll over on their belly, it was sooo COOL, I was in awe, the baby looked so like "A BABY" this time.. haha, we go back on April 14th for our next apt, I hope she hurry's up and schedules my anatomy scan, because we want to know what it is already :) tired of waiting...

alright so this is my 15th week's docotor's appointment, I got my quad blood test done today and we heard the heart this time on doppler and it was full force 151 beats per minute. My doctor is scheduling me for the most exciting part today, i will come back in four weeks and TADA we will get to find out what it is.... ohhhhh I am soooo excited! My mother-in law is even coming along to, this should be a family fun experience,

So I went into today to get my anatomy scan done, I could hardly sleep last night. I had been very nervous but excited about this, and it has been nerve racking. I went back first, before my fiance and my mother in-law could go back, they said they can't come back to see the baby on ultrasound until they know that the baby was formed correctly and wasn't missing anything (like they called it) then they were able to come back and we were all able to see OUR LITTLE BOY! I am excited just to know that this little person inside of me is my SON now , and not just my baby anymore....

went into the doctor today for my follow up following my sonogram, My doctor is out of town so I ma having to see my doctor's asst. I got to hear the babies heart beat on doppler, but I found out the my doctor is sending me for a repeat ultrasound due to the baby wiggled anfdmoved so much that they could not see the lower back bone and the heart in full so I go back june 2nd to get a repeat ultrasound... FUN, alteast I get to see my little guy again!
