I am 16 weeks and 1 day today! I can `t wait for the 25th when we find out boy or girl! Hoping for a boy ;)I am feeling great (besides the physcotic mood swings my husband has to put up w/!) and I AM LOVING MY BABY BUMP!!!!!!! :) :) :)

I am 16wks & 2 days today :) I `m craving all kinds of salty junk food - especially nachos, cheese fries, anything like that! I was supposed to start baack at the gym today (haven `t been since 2wks ago before went on vacation) but I was working all day and didn `t have time. Now I `m just too tired! Oh well - will start up again tomorrow.

On another note - I LOVE SHOWING OFF MY BABY BUMP!!!!!!!! :):):):):)

Well, today is Monday, Jan. 21st. We go for our next u/s on Friday...and I AM SO EXCITED!!!! It `s taking FOREVER to get here!! We `re both so excited! So is my mom and his 9 yr. old daughter...she wants a boy, just like her daddy does. She wants a little brother so bad. And my hubby wants a boy so bad too!!! I `ll be happy either way, but I do also hope it `s a boy...more for my hubby `s sake! WE `LL SEE....3 MORE DAYS!!!!!!

It is Monday and we found out Friday we are having a beautiful baby girl! We were both disappointed at first, but now couldn `t be happier! I am totally stoked about this little angel growing inside my belly! We have named her Madison May (May is after my hubby `s mom who passed away a couple years ago)Our little Maddy is going to be beautiful inside and out! She is healthy and perfect!!! :) :)

Oh yeah, and I thought my hubby's 9yr old daughter had wanted a little brother, but when we called and told her she's going to have a little sister she shreaked w/ happiness!....and she said the cutest thing, she said "Oh good!!! Cuz boys are really starting to frustrate me now!" Hahaha!!!! :)

Well I am 21 weeks today! Wow, I am starting to get really scared now about delivering and becoming a mommy in 4-5 months! It `s a very scary thought....exciting but scary!!!I haven `t been feeling my little Madison very much this week...not as much as last week, and I still haven `t felt her really kick from the outside...and I really want my hubby to feel. We just got a new puppy, a boxer named Brody. Now we have Diesel, our beautiful pug, and Brody! :) Really, I think my hubby is just trying to put more testosterone in the house!!! LOL

Well I am 22 weeks today! Feeling good - last night I slept the best I have since I found out I was pregnant! :) Not sure why I slept so good. I `ve been feeling my little Maddy kicking a lot from the inside...still have only felt one kick so far from the outside. But everytime I put my hand on my belly to feel her she stops kicking! What a little stinker :) I haven `t been to the gym in over 2 weeks - starting back tomorrow and not looking forward to getting on the scale there... :(My belly `s really getting big :) which I love! I love my pregnant belly and big boobs...everything else can go! LOL

I am 22wks & 4 days today. I have been so stressed, short tempered, frustrated and bitchy lately it `s not even funny. I don `t even feel like myself anymore. I don `t know what to do about it - - - my husband doesn `t know how to even handle me anymore. Seems like all we `ve been doing is fighting. I feel like I `m losing my mind. I `m just so stressed out about everything and I have no escape...I used to smoke cigarettes but quit when found out was pregnant and that was my `me time ` for 10 minutes I `d go outside and have a cigg, but I don `t even have that anymore. I can `t take the dogs for a walk cuz it `s freezing outside (which I `m so sick of winter already). I really need to get back to the gym. I think that would really help. Anyways - on a better note, I got most of my shopping done this weekend for my baby shower next month! :) Picked out everything - travel system, bassinet, swing, bouncy chair, nursery bedding/theme, furniture, EVERYTHING!!! So I `m glad that `s all done...cuz that was stressing me out too. I can `t wait for my baby shower - it `s next month and I get to go back to FL where it `s warm for a week!!! Can `t wait!!! I really need a vacation right now too! :)

Well I am 23wks & 3 days today! Still very moody and emotional, but I am getting a better handle on it now. Missed my dr. appt. on Friday due to a snow storm! Reschuled it for Monday. Can `t wait to hear my little Maddy `s heartbeat again! :)Been feeling her kick a lot now, still from just the inside. I feel her most in the mornings and evenings. She `s real mellow in the afternoons...that must be when she takes her nap! I wish I could hurry up and feel her from the outside so my hubby can feel her too! I `ve been thinking a lot lately about what Maddy `s gonna look like...will she have my hair color, my hubby `s eyes, my lips, my hubby `s nose...I hope she has my hubby `s eyes and nose! I can `t wait to meet our little angel! She `s going to be so beautiful!!!

Last day in week 23...tomorrow I see my dr. and go into week 24! I can `t wait to hear my little angel `s heartbeat tomorrow :)Someone bought us her bassinet from our registry and it was delivered today! I was SOOOOO EXCITED!!!! I can `t wait to put it together, but first have to rearrange our bedroom and make a space for her! :) Feel `s like it `s getting closer and closer now.....

Well it `s Saturday, 2nd day in week 24!!!...and I had my dr. appt yesterday morning and everything is great! Heard my little angel `s heartbeat right away...nice and strong 140 bpm :)So glad she `s okay in there...! My doc is going to start me w/ Physical Therapy for my back pain...hopefully they `ll give me a nice massage for my back!...wouldn `t that be nice....

I am 24wks & 5 days today - - - and I finally SAW my little Maddy kick me! It was the coolest and cutest thing ever, I was working and had my phone sitting on my belly and thought I felt it move, so I was staring at my belly and sure enough I saw a little poke come up from just above my belly button!!!! It was awesome!!! I called my hubby right away to tell him :) He can also feel her now from the outside...Friday night we were laying in bed and he felt her kick a few times! This is the best feeling in the world!!!! So happy to know she `s in there and that I can actually SEE her kicking me!!!! Coolest thing ever! :) Totally made my day!

Well I am in SUNNY FLORIDA this week! LOVING EVERY SECOND OF IT!!!! I can `t wait to move back down here the end of this summer :) I have my laptop w/ me and am working outside on the lounge chair in the warm sun! WAY BETTER than freezing my ass off in CT!!!! My baby shower is on Saturday and I `m so excited! I can `t wait to see everyone! :)Maddy `s doing great - getting to know her `schedule ` now...times she sleeps at and stuff. Love it - I feel like I `m starting to get to know her already! :)I miss my hubby and my boys though :(

Well today is Wed, I got back from Florida late Monday night - Had an AWESOME time! Got a nice tan going on, had my baby shower which was GREAT!!!! Had such a good time - saw so many people I haven `t seen in FOREVER!!! Got to see my family, get outta this dam cold for a week! :) Had a great time!!!! Still missing my hubby though - he `s outta town, but coming back late tonight. :) Missed my boys :( I got a lot of great stuff at my shower, though - got the swing, bouncy chair, bedding accessories, travel system, have to pick out the glider/ottoman from my parents, A LOT of ADORABLE BABY GIRL CLOTHES!!! She `s gonna be the cutest dressed baby girl ever!Anyways - Had a lot of fun...wish I coulda brought the weather back w/ me! ;)

Hi sorry to hear about the crap your getting so close to your daughter coming ... I wish i could help you out ...but once you hold your wee girl you'll fall in love with her ..its a strange feeling to love someone so fast :) I was induced with both my children you'll be fine :) and i hope you go yourself before then ... just listen to your body and when you feel you need something take it as soon as lol i never and then i paid for it .. good luck and keep me posted ... I'll be thinking about you xo

I got induced with Cervidil and Pitocin, and it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be! The pitocin made the contractions more regular and strong, but they can give you Fentanol (spelling?) to take the ease off of the contractions. And, once you are about 4 centimeters, you can request and epidural. Good luck!!! Check out my profile for pics of my 5 -day old baby girl! :-) PS-I got induced on the first day of my 39th week.

Funny you asked this question about the pitocin. I asked my doctor the same thing. Pitocin is the same thing that your brain produces but instead of contraction coming every 15 to 20 minutes apart with natural labor and moving closer your body does not get to work up to the pain. You actually will have very strong contraction that are from 2-5 min apart so baby and you will have very strong contraction but if you are ripe and ready it should be ok. the horror stories you hear are the ones that are not ready and being induced for no reason at all they baby is not ready that is were the problems come in and they end in c-sction. That is why my doctor will not induce me because baby is not ready yet. I am sure things will go ok for you it sounds like you are starting to get ready you may just need a little help. Hope this helps dont listen to all the horror stories of these women because it seem a lot of people are being induced before they are even ready to go like 38 weeks. Will keep me posted and I have study a lot on cervideal (cervix softener and pitocin if you have any question)

I think I have started to loose mucus plug but not sure with no change in cervix I dont know. it kind of sticky stuff like burger and is yellow but not alot jus some. I am 3 days over due and they will let me go tell 42 weeks as will. I am really concerned about Bailee cause they are waiting. Being induced when not ripe can be very hard on the baby and you even with a epidural so be carefull ok. I believe they will use cervideal for your cervix to soften up and use pitocin if labor does not produce but since your baby head is way down then you should do good. Keep me posted and I am going in for the reflexology message tomorrow were they use pressure points to start labor. We will see if it really works. Will have good day

Hey - I'll keep this short. Hubby is trying to nap but for some reason I have an energy burst! The membrane stripping wednesday worked wonders - I was contracting within hours of having it done - who woulda thunk it? Tyler was born Thursday 6/26 @ 12:32pm after 20 hours of labor. He was 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. I got an epi @ 4 cn, about an hour after being admitted into the hospital. My BP crashed about 2 hours later after they flipped me - 55/29. It was pretty scary - the anesetheologist (spelling is jacked, I know!) rushed in and gave me a shot of epenefrin or something and it brought my BP back up but raised T's HB in the process. After a few more hours all was well... I delivered vaginally after about 40 minutes of pushing. I was able to reach down and pull him out after his head/shoulders were delivered - amazing experience! Anyway - he's doing good - we are home - and exhausted. I'll post pictures and a birth story later today or tomorrow.....

Will have no changes at all at this visit. Still 1 cm and 25 percent effaced. The same as I was at thirty weeks. I have another appt thursday july 3rd and if needed a stress test for the baby that Saturday at hospital. We will see what happens

Hmm - contractions 2-5 minutes apart for the last 2 hours, lasting anywhere from 40 seconds to over a minute. Not terribly intense at this point but I fear it could be a long night!

I was but it was all worth it.. weirdly enough I have forgotten the pain already lol I guess thats what happens to us women so we have more kids lol

Epidural is good!!! lol

It does feel weird being a mummy am still getting my head around it.. what with having been busy with uni through out the 8months or so and then her coming early I didn't really have time to get my head around it all so when they put her on my stomach I cried my eyes out - so emotional lol

I knew I would!! shes lovely and I love her lol its tiring at night when shes so demanding to be fed but am getting use to it I make bottle for my other half so he can get up and do a feed at night for her... took her out to the shops the other day was weird wheeling pram around but after few hours got use to it lol it is scary I do keep waking up and looking at her when shes wiggling and making squeaky noises lol

Anyway for you I hope you don't go too far past your due date and have to be induced as to bring on the pain is not good!! good luck look forward to seeing some piccys of Maddy when she decides to come out

I think you'll be fine! My horror story as far as that goes I think was a combo of everything-the GD, the fact that I had to have been in early/active labor for at least 3 days and didn't realize it, plus I'm an old lady!! My advice is get drugs as soon as you can!

I'm not sure how these 40 and 50 year old first time moms do it! Derek's totally in love with the new lady in his life

He has been AWESOME in helping out! I'm not sure I could have done this without him! Well, it's time to go feed the princess! Take care, and let me know!!!!!

Hmm - wheat n' bran? Sounds brutal! Might have to dump some sugar on that to sweeten it up! Did they not have the one w/ strawberries in it? They have another one too - yogurt bites or something... both All Bran - and both are pretty good! I was adding 'bran buds' to it (those are REALLY brutal - cant be eaten plain b/c they taste like cardboard!) b/c the fiber was WAY higher in a smaller serving size so I'd mix the two together when I was really desperate. I will warn you, it took my system a good... 3 or 4 days before the bran kicked in, and that was w/ eating a FULL bowl every am. GOOD LUCK!!!
Yes the membrane stripping will be tough - I'm DREADING it and secretly hoping I go into labor TONIGHT so I dont have to go through it. But, I figure it's worth a try, eh?
Mom got in yesterday - wahoo! She's down south right now visiting the grandparents and will be back @ my house tomorrow before my appointment. Wish me luck!

I hope your appointment goes great tomorrow! With my first nothing out of the ordinary happened to me either and then 5 days after my due date my water broke at 3:30am when I got up to pee. So ya never know!!!

I wish I had my Mom here to help out. At least for cleaning purposes. Our house is a mess! And we're having that Welcome Cayden/Housewarming party this Saturday.... I have no Idea when I'm going to find the time to clean!! Chris got to take a week off of work when I had Cayden. So I got home Thursday and he had to go back to work on Tuesday. I was worried I wasn't go to be able to handle Malachi and Cayden but things have been going just fine! When I had Malachi I was worried that I wouldn't have a clue as to how to take care of a baby but we managed fine! It's that maternal instinct thing I guess. You'll actually surprise yourself with how much you really know. I am sooo excited for you!

The birth of my first son went really well too. I wouldn't say that they're easy but it could be a lot worse. My first labor was 8hrs from start to finish and my 2nd was 5hrs start to finish. Since I tore with my first I was pretty sore for about 2wks. I could move but very slowly and it was somewhat painful. Not everyone tears so ya never know! One of my friends had her first baby in April. He was 8lbs 8oz and she didn't tear. But yeah, I was definitely scared to poop after. LOL I waited as long as possible to go and I was taking stool softeners to be on the safe side. Man, it was still hard as a rock and hurt soooo bad! I was scared I was going to rip the stitches back open. I didn't, but I did clog the toilet REALLY REALLY bad! LOL Funny story now that I can look back on it. I was trying to unclog it so I had the plunger and couldn't get it to unclog. I never did pull my pants up so they were around my ankles and I was crying. My hubby heard me crying so he stood outside the bathroom door and asked if I was alright. Then he opened the door. He says it's the funnniest thing he's ever seen in his entire life. Me standing over the toilet with a plunger, with my pants around my ankles and crying hysterically. Needless to say.. I clogged the toilet wicked bad. Chris put drano or something in it and then the fumes started getting bad in the house so he had to drop me and Malachi off at a friends house. (this was around midnight) He called his Mom and her boyfriend to see if they had a snake and they came out to fix the toilet. Haha. How embarrassing! LOL

Good luck with all the guests. It might get a little hectic and stressful. Especially since your emotions will be going crazy with the hormones trying to get back to normal. Hope everything goes great though! I bet you're wicked excited to see your family. I know I would be. I wish my Mom and sister could be here. Either they left a week too early or Cayden came a week too late. I really wish my Mom could have been there for the birth.

I was given percocets and ibuprophen 800mg when I left the hospital. I also took it the entire time I was in the hospital and I was breastfeeding. So it wouldn't/shouldn't be a problem.

Hey! Haylie was born Saturday at 1:31 pm, she weighs 7lbs, 13 oz. My water broke and I went into HARD labor in the span of a half an hour! Literally! I had to have an emergency c section because her heartrate was a little high, but she's doing well now. Not having much luck on the breastfeeding side, but I'm not giving up until my milk comes in.

I got her a cold humidifier @ Target, it's a hello kitty pink one! She's gonna need it, b/c she has a lot of mucus in her still from the c-section

We'll get it all squared away b4 we leave the hospital, which will either be tomorrow or Wed. I put a picture up, go take a look! Let me know when something happens with Maddy!

Maybe it'll be better for you in the long run! You're gonna want to spend as much time with her as you can anyway! Take care and lots of labor dust!

The brand I get is All Bran - by the way! I looked when I was downstairs earlier! When the dr stripes your membranes, all the do is loosen the membranes between the bag of water and uterus which is supposed to release hormones and bring on contractions. My midwife said it can help bring on labor if your cervix is ready for it - and by that she means soft. She said last week (I was @ a 2 and 70%) that my cervix felt 'soft' and she thought I'd have a good reaction to the membrane stripping. I've heard mixed reviews on it in regards to weather or not it can help you go into labor but I figure it's worth a try. My mom gets into town monday and can only stay tru thru the 11th. I'm feeling stressed out and wanting him to come sooner than later so I can utilize all the time w/ my mom I can before she heads home to FL. Last wednesday at my appointment she 'fiddled' w/ the membranes a little and it hurt like a... wow - yeah - it wasnt fun. I imagine it'll be 10X worse when she actually STRIPS them this week. The thought makes me want to cringe actually... but as I said, it's worth a try. Ask your dr about it and see what they say.

I see my doctor this Friday but today I have been having a lot of BH contraction and losing some more of my mucus plug so maybe so will come before friday. Who knows my luck we will be talking in 41 to 42 weeks. Will let me know what happens wed...????

I TOTALLY know what you mean - I hate it too, but they have GOOD bran cereal now, I swear it! I eat the kind w/ strawberries in it - it kinda reminds me of Special K w/ red berries! Try it - it's REALLY not bad, I swear!!! Prune juice gave me mud butt, and not in a good way. The bran is SO much easier on my system, but still does the job! I think my baby is waiting for his grandma to show up - my mom gets into town tomorrow at 10am. I think it'll be sometime next week for sure! I'm still loosing my plug - had a huge glob of it today still - YUCK! My next appointment is wednesday too - let me know how yours goes please. I'm having the midwife strip my membranes then so I'm hopeful that gets things moving along. If not, I think I'll schedule an induction on Monday.

Thanks! I'm so excited for you!! That would totally suck if your hubby was still out of town when you go in to labor! That's awesome that his daughter is excited! I bet you're ready to be done with the pregnancy, huh? I remember everyday thinking come on now! I'm done! And now that he's here I kinda still wish that I was pregnant. I miss it.. Which sounds totally insane! And this sounds kind of selfish but now that he's here I feel like I won't get any attention anymore because it's all focused on him. That and my hubby says he only wants 2 kids so he's the last. I want 3 sooo bad though. I'm only 22, I'm not done having kids yet!!!
