20.3 hours ago Yeah the pump may but pumps are not always that easy to use either! You have to do it regularly to build up the supply, so if nothing much comes out with a pump it doesn't mean the baby isn't getting any, I never had a problem with them feeding after a c-section, Just feed more than you will later, the Nurses should help you and if they are like here they will tell you to feed even when you think you just did!!! I wouldn't worry about taking the pump to the hospital, cause it will be hard to sterilise wait until the baby has established their own feeding routine and then work it in. Sometimes when they have slept for a long time your boobs build up and will leak that will be a good time to use it. Mornings are usually the best time. Don't get Panicky it will be fine you body is aware the baby is not out yet so does not want to lose the precius colostrum until it is. A few suckles and the baby will have it going! Will be thinking of you. fisheagle74 -
22.2 hours ago Not to ruffle any feathers...but why is he so set on c-section? I was induced at 38 weeks with my dh because of GD. I was completely closed, not dialeted nor effaced (sp) and it went prefect. That just sounds crazy to me. I would hate to have a c-section. Is this your first? If it is don't be scared at all.... I was walking about the same day as delivary. socalgal -
Wednesday, 14 May If it's any consolation, I think you are better off than me. I am getting check ed again later today, but last week my baby was already 8 lbs 4 ounces and my cervix was not even soft, let alone effaced or dilated. In fact it was still very long and hard and according to my doctor my baby is way too high for contractions to dilate it. I think I am going to end up with a 10 lber. Oh and to top it off, she is posterior facing, which I know from experience means I will have the longest most painful labor possible. Ahhhh the joys of motherhood! cheerios10 -

Wednesday, 16 April Thank you so much i'll run that by my midwife next week and see what she says...i just don't want to have this when it's time for labour...because it will only get worse...i need to try and nip it in the butt (literally) as soon as possible. Thanks! gaute431 -
Monday, 14 April I dont get any period like cramps. It's almost like the baby is kicking me in the groin. I know its not the baby because he doesn't move when I have this pain. I havent ever gotten them to stop, they just eventually subside. BUt definately the groin pain sounds ALOT like what I get. MommyB23 -
Sunday, 13 April yeah i dont think im going to unless its deemed medically necessary. like on wed, when they do the ultrasound if they see a reason why hed need to be delivered early, then by all means, but otherwise ill just wait it out. id rather have a big healthy baby than a small sickly one anyday. i was a little early with both of my girls, so maybe hell decide to come early on his own! my goodness. 6 lbs 9 ounces? wow! youve got a big one! i wish you and the baby all the luck in the world. take care :-) summerisis -
Saturday, 12 April Hey... I just wanted to say best wishes on the rest of your pregnancy. As you can imagine, my hands are pretty full now and I am trying to wean myself from this site so my responses are few and far between. If you remember and have the time, send me a message on my VIP when you deliver because I'd love to see pictures and read your birth story! jeni, kyle, and baby sierra. jenim24 -
Saturday, 12 April Thank you sooooooo much!! I went to Walmart last night and they didn't have them. I am on their site right now ordering some, and yes I am also a DDD now. Fun huh? gaute431 -
Friday, 11 April I dont make 35 weeks until Monday. I know what you are saying about the pressure, I do have a question for you. When you're moving around do you sometimes get a sharp pain in like you lower belly groin area? I don't really know of any other way to describe it and I haven't found anyone that knows waht I'm talking about. jenim24 -
Friday, 11 April Wow really? our walmart doesn't carry Maternity clothes so I didn't even think of checking for Nursing Bras, i'll have to check that out tonight! Thanks! KMFITZ -
Friday, 11 April well, the problem witih my blood pressure is that I have what they call "white coat syndrome" meaning that I freak out any time they take it, so it's always high. So I'm supposed to take it at home every day and record it for them--and when I take it at home, it's usually totally normal. But I'm starting to have really bad headaches, so who knows...sorry to babble!! Leave a message for mommy-2-b in the right column where it reads `Add comment`
