I've gained about 20 lbs so far...i was a skinney minney before i got prego too... I'm 5'3' and weighed 122, now i weigh about 142 and i thought that was alot of weight but to tell you the truth...i dont look big at all...i think its all boobs and baby...lol

I cant decide what I want! I want a little girl but im afraid she'll grow up to hate me or something, on the otherhand I want a little boy cause Ive heard there closer that girls but im not sure if I could handle the crazy things boys do when there little! as long as nothings wrong ill be happy and I can FINALLY start to buy boy/girl stuff and start to decorate! Yeah, im so excited i cant wait! Make sure you keep in touch.

corpsman can usually get shore jobs, but mine is an engineer and will be going to the corpsman school in November... the only bad thing about being a corpsman is sometimes they have to be deployed to land duty with the marines... but I'm not sure how often that happens

You may already know this but I was going to one of the forums and noticed they now have a military families forum where you can talk to other ladies who are in your situation.

I can't speak from experience here but both of my BIL are in the military Army and Navy. My SIL has a 4 and 2 yr old that she is raising while BIL is serving in Iraq. I have a friend at shul who's husband is in Japan and she is 3 weeks ahead of me and she is very sad too. She is living with her mom to help with their other kids. She said that her husband is going to miss the birth and the bris. I would say lean on your family and friends as much as possible along with other military wives who have been through the same thing. Feel free to write me if you ever just need someone to talk to.

hey being in the military life is really hard i have friends here at camp lejeune going through the same there husbands will be in iraq when the baby is born and they have no one but as long as you have good friends and family you will be fine

ah! i don't know if the heart rate thing is always right, but mine was over 150 also and I'm having a boy...regardless of the dreams that I was having a girl and everything!! GOOD LUCK!

You are 6 months preggers when you have completed 6 months but dates, not weeks. If you last period was Dec 10th then you are 6 months on June 10th :) Jan 10th you are one month, Feb 10th you are 2 months, March 10th you are 3, April 10th you are 4, May 10th you are 5, June 10th you are 6 :)

i love the baby looney tunes stuff. we are doing ocean my s/o is in the Navy and i love the ocean so we figured it was perfect for us. good luck hopefully they will be able to see what the baby is. i am glad i found out, it is so much fun to be able to shop when you don't have to pick yellow and green things out.

I have bought stuff for the baby's room, not furniture just things i see to hang on the walls. Also some clothing and stuff that i think is way too cute to pass up. But that is about it, everything else I will leave to my friends and family to get me for my shower. Did you register yet? i suggest going to the store and doing it, you can always start it online but Babies-r-us give you a little gift box of sample things, and you get to go crazy with the scanner. I didn’t really know what to put but they give you this book that tells you of things to put on that you might not think of so it really is great well good luck.

I havent gained any weight yet either. It must be water retention or something. i sure don't do alot of walking either! I leave the exercise up to those overachievers! They're all gonna feel stupid one day when they are laying in the hospital dying of nothing!

Just make sure that if it does happen you make a funny story out of it or make a joke. People will still look at you funny but will sure make a funny memory for you.

That is so funny! I had some issues like that 2 weeks ago when I had strep throat. But not that much!! When I was preggo with my son I remember thinking my water broke once because I had peed on myself. SO embarrassing.
