Hello, my name is Caroline. I live in Mebane, NC which is near Raleigh. Im 19 years old. My fiance's name is Howard but everyone calls him Trey. Him and I are expecting our first baby May 22nd. Neither one of us have children so this will be the beginning of the rest of our lives- we are so anxious and excited to start this new family. As soon as our little Aaron arrives, we plan to get married as soon as possible. We dont plan on having the actual wedding, just going to get the paper work because he will be leaving for basic training for the army in June. Once he returns, thats when we will have the wedding we have both always dreamed of. I am also currently a store manager for an AT&T Wireless agency.
As a young mother, i am terrified, scared, nervous, BUT ALSO happy, excited, and anxious. I have never raised a child before so im probably going to be very cautious about every little detail in my little girls life. At night when my fiance and i go to bed, Aaron starts kicking and moving alot and the only way she will stop is if Trey has his hands on my belly. That makes me smile. I have many questions and concerns about every feeling and movement i get so if decide to become a friend of mine, please know now that i will be asking you many questions that may seem very silly. With that being said, i do enjoy meeting other ladies in the same situation as myself. its always nice to have someone who's going thru the same things as myself so i have someone to talk to. So thats me....take it or leave it. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

I am glad that your doctor called you back. I do understand what they are saying and I am glad that you were honest with them that you were taking the medication. I just wish that they would help. I would think that the withdrawl would be much worse than continuing to take the medication. I guess if you have problems tomorrow maybe you can ask for something to help with the withdrawl? When I recovered from my surgeries I was offered Klonopin to help with the withdrawl side effects. I said screw it and just stopped. My pain management doctor thought I was nuts to just stop..and adviced against it...but when I wasn't in pain I just wanted not to be on them anymore. What I am worried about for you is that not taking them will result in withdrawl and you'll be in pain which will stress you out even more:( Maybe you could try to take just tylenol and do what they suggest and if it doesn't work then you could call them and tell them you are in horrible pain still?! I would call your other office though and see if they will prescribe it and call your OB and help you out. What an ordeal!

hey sweety, i just went and scrolled back a page or two in 37 so i could see what happened at your appointment, and i am astounded!!!! i can't believe she actually treated you that way...i know you said you made a fit then, but i would make another one with your doctor when you go back!!!!

I bet if you called and spoke to your regular doc he would call in a script for you for your pain meds. You shouldn't have to wait until next time, that's ridiculous! Take a warm bath, that helps my back sometimes. I had spinal surgery and have rods and brackets in my back and arthritis so I feel your pain, literally! Hang in there! Don't let one person get you down!

hahaha. I just read your comment on the 37 week page.
My husband doesn't exactly spoon with me, but he lays on his side facing me, or on his back, and I have to put my leg over his hips/thighs so it takes away some of the pain from my hips, and I almost always seem to wake up in the middle of the night with a boner poking my leg!! ahahah. He'd kill me if he seen what I was typing.. Lol!! I just thought I'd share that with you. You're not the only one!!

no you dont sound like a bad person about the whole church thing. i really feel the same way. i am christian, i believe in god, but i hate going to church because everyone is so fake there. im sorry god but they are. they show yo the side of them that they want you to see so you think they are a great and wonderful person, and no one is perfect! but we were staying with his parents who are Apostolic...of all religions! so we had to go while we live there!
i bought all the travel size stuff too so i wouldnt have to worry about bringing the big bottles or forgetting my conditioner in the shower at home or something!
no andrew can't come home for the birth. it is too soon from the time he deployed...we dont know when he is gunna get leave, they were talking that it wouldnt be until sept/oct unless there is a life or death emergency! my mommy is gunna be in the room with me when i have her. thats why i flew to florida. then after the birth my mom is gunna take drew for a few days while im in the hospital, and maybe longer if i want, but its up to how i feel after shes born. she told her work that when i have my baby she needs the whole week off to help since my hubbys gone....she just wants a vacation too...lol she told me the other day when i was telling her my lack of progress on dilating that i need to speed things up, shes waiting for her vacation. lol i love my mommy!
he's reserves not active and will never never leave california unless he has to...dont ask me why lol! but i agree it would be great to actually have someone else around. dont worry we will still keep in touch and i will do my best to help you through it!!!
so my brother is having a bunch of friends over for beers and video games tonight, so im going crazy thinking i have to get this house clean so a bunch of drunk guys can play video games and mess it up again for me to clean tomorrow! but i figure if i keep that attitude i wont be pissed off while i reclean tomorrow...besides with all jimjim has done for me keeping up with a lil housekeeping is the LEAST i can do for him! lol

LOL oh my god, my husband was singing the fat guy in a little coat to me one day too! before he left and i was probaby 5 months pregnant i could still fit some things and not others...i was trying to get ready for church which i hate doing because his parents church is so finicky on rules of what you can wear and its hard enough to look cute without having to cover the stomach. anyway was trying on clothes nothing fit, i wanted to cry and he started singing it to make me laugh but it just made me cry more...he felt so bad!!!
lol im sure i will love everything you send!! i do the same thing about taping and retaping pckages...its horrid, it usually takes a whole role of packing tape for one box lol
n i like Naruto! im not ashamed! LOL
oh i wanted to ask you, do you have a theme for aarons nursery? or just a color scheme?

i cant understand why the doctor is ignoring your pain either. its one thing if he just didnt want to give you that particualr medication, but offered you a few possibley safer options. but to brush it off when he really does seem to genuinely care seems so odd... sucks that you have to change doctors at this stage, but hopefully something will get done.
drew is just a big ol' baby when he has a cold...im lucky because other than a few colds and ear infections he has never REALLY been sick. and normally its not so bad and i dont mind missing sleep to sit with him, usually thats all he wants...but at this stage in the pregnancy i cannot sit on the floor next to his bed all night...if i could i would just get a pillow and blanket and sleep on his floor, but i would never get back up...theres no room for him in my bed, and my floor is wooden so he cant sleep on it especially with a cold...so its rough. right now hes almost better, but you know the end of a cold when everything is draining and your miserable...thats the stage hes at...if hes still too bad tomorrow we are going to the pediatrician though!
LOL glad you got a kick outta my box! actually it was my mommys lol when she was sending some stuff over to me she put it in there so the box was kinda just laying around. and i was all afraid youd make fun of my Naruto paper...lol
would be nice to have someone i could actually talk to to sit by a nice pool and just relax for a day...lol i need friends!
btw i fell asleep for a bit and woke up again...on and off...bah at least when shes out and im breastfeeding there will be a reson i have to wake up every few hours...

Oh I am so jealous a day at the pool I would die for that right now. I don't have a pool anymore and i have been thinking about breaking into my old apt complex. I think i might just do it next weekend no one will know I don't live there any more. Sounds like you had a nice day. How's it going buying the boy stuff? Did you make a lot of your returns already? Have fun with the boy outfits?

No, that doesn't make you a bad mommy at all! It just makes you someone who had to make a choice. I'm sure that going through withdrawals while being pregnant isn't very good for the baby either, with all that added anxiety and stress. Of course, now worrying about the outcome of taking the meds is also causing you stress. Just talk to your doctor. That's your best bet at this point. Besides, what you say to him is strictly confidential. I know it will all work out okay for you. I'll keep you in my prayers, girl.

You know, hubby makes fun of me for being on here all the time. Since I've stopped working, I have nothing else to do. He's always at work or school and I don't know anyone else here that I can hang out with. My co-workers from the lab were all family people in mid-forties or older, or were younger married men and what not. Besides, it was only about 10 of us who worked there, so not much room for making friends. My only good friend who lives here, she is a grad student and always busy busy, so I don't get to see her much either. So I totally understand about not having friends around. All of mine live at least 2.5 hours south! And I was so afraid when I became pregnant.. really, we didn't want a baby right now and I was terrified. This site is what's got me through, and to be honest, its what's made me comfortable with the situation and actually gotten me to become very excited about it! I posted a reply about the pain relievers.. I hope you get that straightened out. You really need to try to clean your system out now if you want baby's meconium to have no traces of the stuff you're using. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll keep you on that stuff. Then an explanation won't be necessary. I wish you the best with it. And I try to be a good wifey.. I'm sure you'll be a good little wifey (and mommy!) yourself. :)

Tanks for replying and keep me posted. Also this is your family to be so please dont jeopordise ur relationship wid ur fiance. Even if you dont get it back it is ok bec the baby is wel so you cn do more but be more weary of the in laws. Let him know that yours and the baby documents stay with you regardles of what he decides to do with his.
