Hello, my name is Caroline. I live in Mebane, NC which is near Raleigh. Im 19 years old. My fiance's name is Howard but everyone calls him Trey. Him and I are expecting our first baby May 22nd. Neither one of us have children so this will be the beginning of the rest of our lives- we are so anxious and excited to start this new family. As soon as our little Aaron arrives, we plan to get married as soon as possible. We dont plan on having the actual wedding, just going to get the paper work because he will be leaving for basic training for the army in June. Once he returns, thats when we will have the wedding we have both always dreamed of. I am also currently a store manager for an AT&T Wireless agency.
As a young mother, i am terrified, scared, nervous, BUT ALSO happy, excited, and anxious. I have never raised a child before so im probably going to be very cautious about every little detail in my little girls life. At night when my fiance and i go to bed, Aaron starts kicking and moving alot and the only way she will stop is if Trey has his hands on my belly. That makes me smile. I have many questions and concerns about every feeling and movement i get so if decide to become a friend of mine, please know now that i will be asking you many questions that may seem very silly. With that being said, i do enjoy meeting other ladies in the same situation as myself. its always nice to have someone who's going thru the same things as myself so i have someone to talk to. So thats me....take it or leave it. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

No, that doesn't make you a bad mommy at all! It just makes you someone who had to make a choice. I'm sure that going through withdrawals while being pregnant isn't very good for the baby either, with all that added anxiety and stress. Of course, now worrying about the outcome of taking the meds is also causing you stress. Just talk to your doctor. That's your best bet at this point. Besides, what you say to him is strictly confidential. I know it will all work out okay for you. I'll keep you in my prayers, girl.

You know, hubby makes fun of me for being on here all the time. Since I've stopped working, I have nothing else to do. He's always at work or school and I don't know anyone else here that I can hang out with. My co-workers from the lab were all family people in mid-forties or older, or were younger married men and what not. Besides, it was only about 10 of us who worked there, so not much room for making friends. My only good friend who lives here, she is a grad student and always busy busy, so I don't get to see her much either. So I totally understand about not having friends around. All of mine live at least 2.5 hours south! And I was so afraid when I became pregnant.. really, we didn't want a baby right now and I was terrified. This site is what's got me through, and to be honest, its what's made me comfortable with the situation and actually gotten me to become very excited about it! I posted a reply about the pain relievers.. I hope you get that straightened out. You really need to try to clean your system out now if you want baby's meconium to have no traces of the stuff you're using. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll keep you on that stuff. Then an explanation won't be necessary. I wish you the best with it. And I try to be a good wifey.. I'm sure you'll be a good little wifey (and mommy!) yourself. :)

Tanks for replying and keep me posted. Also this is your family to be so please dont jeopordise ur relationship wid ur fiance. Even if you dont get it back it is ok bec the baby is wel so you cn do more but be more weary of the in laws. Let him know that yours and the baby documents stay with you regardles of what he decides to do with his.

^_^ i am SO glad it came! when i went to send it the lady told me it was only two dollars more to ship two days and i was like heck yes lets get that bad boy out LOL! I'm so glad you liked everything!!! i was worried you would already have some of it, but i figured since it all still had tags it would be ok because it would be an easy exchange! ^_^ i kinda went a lil nutty getting stuff, like i said some of it was given to me, but some i just went out and picked up, i am SO glad i could be helpful!!!! I still feel like i didnt do enough and wish i could have done more!

Colostrum is the first "milk" that you have before you get your real milk comes in. It is kind of clear and hardly any of it comes out, but it supposed to be the best thing for a newborn baby--it is really gentle on their digestive system and is packed with exactly the nutrients and antibodies they need. Normally, a newborn will only have colostrum for several days until the mom's milk comes in. I've always been paranoid to let my breasts be stimulated during pregnancy because I've always wondered if having your milk come early means your baby won't have colostrum. I'm sure it is fine breastmilk is always a million times better than formula. I just get curious. I wonder if your body will make colostrum for the baby or only milk.

Wow! Sounds like you're not going to have ANY trouble pumping! I do have one question, that I have always wondered--maybe you can ask your doc: if you get your milk during pregnancy, as opposed to after delivery, does that mean you're not going to have colostrom?

lol i was getting a package together for him, and after i put a few things in it i just looked in the package and started laughing so hard i nearly peed myself...in the box was a webcam, a playboy, a stach of dvds, but the only one you could see was a porn, and a bunch of candy! if anyone other than him opens that package up they ae going to think we are a couple of complete perverted weirdo's! at least if i can't send him sexy pics of me i can send the playboy and porn lol!

btw i know what you mean about getting out of bed. i am sleeping on this twin sized futon bed thingy, and it is lower than a bed, it is so hard to get up in the morning. im so stiff and sore it would suck getting out of a normal bed, but i have to push part way up and use my hands to slowly walk up my thighs to straighten my body out a little at a time until i'm standing...i didn't describe that very well...but yeah its a process! ^_^ i'm sure it would be a sight if any one actually seen me! i usually feel better once i get moving, but getting motivated to move is a task all of its own!

Hi, I'm pretty sure that I'm getting the same pains that you are! It basically feels like a knife stabbing me down there and it completely stops me in my tracks. I asked the doctor about the pains and she said that it's normal....it's just the baby making its way down lower. Good luck!

glad to hear your swelling has gone down...i woke up and just one of my legs was swollen..it scared me, i wouldnt worry as much if it was both, but just one seemed weird, but it went down so i must just have slept on it wrong or something!
