thanks for your reply - I called his sister today and told here that July 20th was too soon and that August would be better. She agreed.

There's still a great chance she'll move to a head down position. :) I had an appt on Wed. & asked my doc about the baby's position - he said they don't even bother checking now because he can still flip a few more times @ this poitn before he'll settle in place. Usually by 35/36 weeks is when they get into the position they're going to stay in. But even if they're breech after that, they can still try an EVC to get her to turn around. Hope that helps! Good luck w/the rest of your pregnancy!

If you read my previous post, you will find your not alone on this one. I am very sorry for all your pain. I have just been so angry I can't even connect with the baby the last couple of days. I have been on room arrest by choice, I can't say anything nice right now. Hang in there baby, try to remember this to shall pass and hopefully it will. Who knows what is going thru his head right now. Just take care of yourself right now, and feel free to write anytime. Love Jacquie

I am so sorry your husband is being a butt! I am SO blessed with mine! He was SCARED TO DEATH when I first found out I was pregnant nearly this time last year...it was April 1st, but eventually he came around. He started to get excited near the end of my second trimester. He would come up to me and wave at my belly! LOL I was like, 'Silly!!! He can't see you do that!' It was too cool though. Maybe if you just keep your distance, he'll come around. Parenthood is a scary thing! I'm still scared to death, but so excited to be someone's mommy! Best of luck to you and be blessed.

I would say that you are not alone in the asshole husband department. Mine has been a huge ass since about week 15, I really believe that they get some kind of pregnancy hormone as well, or they just get scared at the fatct that they have to grow up and take care of somebody else besides themselves. I had posted a week or two ago that I was thinking baout leaving my husband as well, I believe I asked if single parenting was really that hard. Well the response that I got from single parents was no, it is not as hard or bad. I left my husband for a couple of days and it seemed to have scared him enough to treat me better. I hope that things get better for you, but if they continue you may want to really cosider leaving him. Best wishes.

newcastlechick - Wednesday, 12 Mar
we defo have the same thing. i pushed myself to go shoppin after work for hour and a hlaf yesterday to get some maternity trousers and i paid for it all last night and today - im aching all over. its getting ridiculous that i cant just walk about for 1 and a half hours!! its getting me down. I had a random phone call yesterday off an old friend who i'd not spoken to for about 2 years, she'd heard off another of my friends about my preg ailments, so said she had same as me swelling in feet and hands, carpal tunnel with both her children and both were born 4 weeks early!! So be prepared! im at a wedding on the 31st May! babys due 28th June wondering if i can stand it - will have to see.Well only 3 days work then weekend again, gonna start maternity 17th may or there abouts and have confirmed i can work from home (for cash!!) as maternity pay is rubbish, means i can do 2-4 hours a day until tot is born. its not that im shattered and dont want to do the work its just when in an office and having to be upright all day that makes it uncomfortable - means i can sit reclined on my sofa and do my job with my notebook. result!!

newcastlechick - Tuesday, 11 Mar
hi there, gosh we sound simiar. My feet and ankles are right up all the time (see picture on my sight) my hands are slightly swollen and i have carpal tunnel syndrome, my blood presure was on the cusp(130/90) got told if the 90 went to 91 i'd be put on the sick for rest of my pregnancy, luckily it went to 130/80 on last visit. I dont have protien in urine which is y saving grace, being monitored but midwife not so worried now pressure is down. In thoeory being on sick until you have baby is like.. 'yeah great no work' but reality is that time will then drag and we'll spend more time on internet reading bad stories about things we could have. I spend most weekends with my feet up and they get loads better by the Sunday, howver once back at work (i work in an office) mon - fri there terrible again. My mums convinced he's gonna come early (not this early we hope!!)
keep me uptodate with how your doing
Sharon xx

andrealeigh - Saturday, 8 Mar
I am experiencing a lot of swelling in my feet and ankles too. When I elevate my feet I try to put them on pillows so they are above my heart, that is what the doctor recommended. I also use ice packs. Sometimes this works and I notice a decrease in the swelling. I hope you are able to find something that works for you.

jaxwaqu - Saturday, 8 Mar
p.s they also checked my pee for 24 hrs to see if I was spilling protien for preclamsia, turns out every thing is fine, Im just swelling...

jaxwaqu - Saturday, 8 Mar
just a note on the swelling.. me too, my doctor made me get moderate compression knee highs for the swelling and crocs. My swelling has gotten much better since I wear those during the day. They (knee highs) were 42.00 and insurance did not pay for them. the crocs were 30.00

angelbabies14 - Saturday, 8 Mar
Of course some swelling is normal but your edema sounds more serious if its not going down after being off your feet. How's your sodium intake, is it too much are you eating out alot or cooking at home. We need to be careful when we have the tendency to retain more fluid than most. Please check with your Dr to see if they have concerns. Let me know how things turn out.

fgarcia - Saturday, 8 Mar
You should mention the swelling to your doctor, and see what they say!

Baronsmom - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Hi, I hope all is well with you. Just wondering if you ever got anything accomplished with your employer and their prehistoric ways?

http://www.beyond-bedding.com/baby-bedding.html This site has some pretty cool bedding and they do not cost an arm and a leg

chastin - Thursday, 21 Feb
The other day when I got home from work I realized that my legs were pretty swollen, I dont really stand at work so I was like dang i must be gaining lots of weight for my calfs to be getting so big, then the next morning they were back to normal...lol. So I try to prop my feet up while at my desk and havent happen again YET. Maybe its something you did different that made the swell or maybe that is one of the lovely syptoms of pregnancy you will have :) my boss always has swollen everything half her pregnancy :)

brittsbebenumber1 - Monday, 18 Feb

araya-sunshine - Saturday, 16 Feb
Wow, I'm really surprised to hear about your employment problems. Expecially since you work in the health field. I'm a nursing student and I'm doing clinicals at a rehablitation hospital. It's just a bunch of old people who can't walk and need me to move them! I talked to my instructor and she said to do it anyway and just get someone to help me! When someone needs to be moved I just ask someone else to do it for me and not say anything to my professor about it.

caracaya - Saturday, 16 Feb
I am sure it will be a bit uncomfortable. Don't let them get to you, though. By you being strong, you stand up for all the other discriminated against pregnant women out there. This is your right AND it is the law. Screw them ;)

Baronsmom - Friday, 15 Feb
I know it is going ot be tough but stand your ground you have done NOTHING wrong. They are wrong.

caracaya - Friday, 15 Feb
You are fortunate to live in a country where they have some pretty strict law regarding accommodations for pregnant women. Talk to your lawyer about the situation. As you have already seen, getting a lawyer involved makes a big difference in these things. They simply HAVE to accommodate you and cannot discriminate against you because of your pregnancy. If they don't want a lawsuit, they will be VERY careful to treat you well. As I said, talk to your attorney, as I do not know what local laws you have in Nevada in addition to the federal laws. Good luck!

corie.z - Friday, 15 Feb
I would check out the labor laws in the state that you live in. There is a pregnancy discrimination act that prohibits discrimination based on pregnancy or related medical conditions. If you look under the U.S. Government, Department of Labor in the phone book they can give you info of the Womens Bureau of the U.S. Department of Laboor is www.dol.gov.

Baronsmom - Friday, 15 Feb
Wow. How prehistoric of your employer. I can't beleive you are the only one that has ever had a baby. Do you have a Human resources? I had a similar problem with my 1st son almost 9 years ago and I also fought them and won. I got four months of back pay. They were supposed to put me on short term disability and then long term with light duty. They should be able to accomodate you by filling your time with paperwork or other duties. I can't beleive your lawyer wasn't all over that.

happymomma2be - Tuesday, 12 Feb
Quick update...Tylenol (once a day when I feel REALLY badly) seems to be relieving the pelvic pain as well as sleeping with a pillow between my thighs and knees...hope this helps! :)
