i'm def paranoid about lots of stuff, but that's normal, don't you think? parenting is learned, so every new thing is like 'oh, boy, what's this??' babies have cold feet and hands b/c their circulatory systems are immature - just keep your baby warm and she'll be okay. you're going to do great!

Aleksandra - Tuesday, 19 Feb
I had the same thing. I thought my water broke I went to the hosiptal they said it didn't but fo a week after until I was induced it kept on running. In the end when I went to get induced, they tried to pop the bag but it had burst on its own and my daughters head was acting like a cork and keeping it in. Don't worry it is completely normal jus completely a pain in the butt. But I purchased depends underwear just to wear until I gave birth. You feel more comfortable.

OMG! Yes, that's been happening to me. They also told me it's not amniotic fluid, but it's been squirting out for the past two days now and soaking me. I've come to the conclusion that it is the bloody show, but mine is just a lot more watery and plentiful than others. If this is the case, I should have a baby within the next day or so. Keep me posted on what happens with you.

That sounds like your water broke to me-but the hospital was sure it didn't? Weird.

BearMom - Saturday, 16 Feb
and good luck!

BearMom - Saturday, 16 Feb
I've been told by my midwife not to go to the hospital if my water breaks but I'm not having contractions. Most practices will want to induce you within 24 hours of your water breaking to avoid infection so you have some time. I would take a shower and try to sleep and go to the hospital around 18-20 hours after your water breaking.

oh baby - Saturday, 16 Feb
my water broke at 9:00 pm with my last pregnancy and didn't have any contractions on my own so I had to get induced at 11:00am the next morning!! I did go to the hospital to make sure it was my water, It wasn't a huge gush!!!
Good luck!

nicci550 - Monday, 11 Feb
Hey...so it was a false alarm! I thought my water broke on the toilet (not that lucky), but it was actually a gush of mucus... aparently that happens to some women around this time. Really dissapointing.... but she'll come when she's ready!

I had minimal ultrasounds only the 2 and i haven't had one since i was like 18 weeks when i was told i was having a girl.. i am 100% with you!!! I'm terrified that they may have missed something (if u know what i mean) lol.. Everything I have is girl related and pink.. so keep ur fingers crossed lol

EllaVanellasMomma - Friday, 8 Feb
i'm nervous about that too! i had 2 ultrasounds, one at 15 weeks and one at 21 weeks. i keep having dreams that i have a little boy. but on the ultrasound there are those two little lines, and if those are there it's a little girl!

Hey!
I just read your post!
Congrats =]

With my first child 16yrs ago my water broke at 4pm. I had gone for a sleep though at about 2pm and when I stood up out of bed I had trickle. My daughter was born after a steady labour at 11pm. With My 3rd child I got up to goto toilet at 2.45am and had gush when water broke. Very quick and painful contractions and delivery was at 5am.
With my 2nd child the midwife had to break my water on delivery. I reckon they are all different. I do remember on both occassions of water breaking that there was a popping sensation so I knew exactly what had happened.

With my son my water broke at 11:30 at night and it woke me up. I've heard that if your water breaks usually it's just a trickle, but mine gushed out. It was completely gone by the time I was checked at the hospital and I had a dry birth...ouch!

oh baby - Tuesday, 5 Feb
when my water broke, it broke at 9:00 pm, right when I went to lay down, it was only a little, I went to go to the bathroom, I thought I had an accident, then I went to lay down again and it happened again, it was just enough to get my underwear wet!!! Good Luck!!!

shortmom - Tuesday, 5 Feb
About the question on your water breaking...with my second son I had just made some dinner and sat down to eat when I thought I had peed myself. Ended up that my water had broke cause every 2-5 minutes when my tummy got tight I would gush a little more. This happened to me at about 4 in the afternoon. Honestly, it felt like when you are on your period and you sit for awhile and stand and have a gush. Hope that helps.

hey just to let you know - about the brownish discharge, the same thing had happened to me. i had gone into emerg at the hospital because my OB wasnt in his office. they did a bunch of tests and whatnot, told me i was fine and sent me home. i called my OB the next day and he told me not to worry, its just a little bit of blood in your discharge from your cervix changing. He obviously understood why i was concerned, and just let me know it's not something to worry about unless its an excessive amount of blood. Hopefully that helps you out a little bit! :) congrats by the way

I got checked yesterday for dilation (I'm 1cm) and its not really that it hurt it was just uncomfortable..only because the baby has her head waaaaay down in my pelvis. But like i said i wouldnt call it pain just discomfort for a second. :)

MissSicilia - Thursday, 24 Jan
I had my first cervix check today and yeah, it hurt, especially cause it's still high and to the back, but it wasn't unbearable, no worse than a pap smear I guess.

babytee - Thursday, 17 Jan
okay, thanks for the advice! never heard of using cabbage...that made me laugh. I will probably just opt for the pads then.

babytee - Wednesday, 16 Jan
Sounds like you are off to a good start! Question..will I need a nursing bra if I don't plan to breast feed? Like for comfort? I know the breasts swell up. My shower is this Sunday. Wish me luck that I get all the stuff I need, I hope you do at yours.

babytee - Tuesday, 15 Jan
ya know, I was thinking about starting weight watchers after I have her...lol my hubby has put on 10lbs..
Well we are gettin really close..do you have a bag packed yet? If you do lemme know what you packed cuz I have no idea what to bring, isn't that bad?

babytee - Tuesday, 15 Jan
