Glad the checkout went well! She sounds very healthy!!

I think it is a silicone nipple- Ryland has no problem drinking from it- and it doesn't spill when tipped over- I just tested it and water comes out easily, but not too much at a time; just the right amount.

Ryland has been using a sippy cup for 2 months now and loves it! His favorite is made by munchkin- It has handles so it is easy for him to hold---and BPA free! You can find them at Target

hey there! on toys, i just bought three new toys for beckett's 6 month bday that he really likes. the lamaze 'my first aquarium', the lamaze 'chime garden', and the fisher price 'crawl-along drum roll.' the aqurium and chime garden are his favorites, but i think he'll really like the drum roll even more when he's able to crawl.

Mommy2Maya- Ean has been teething for months now and no teefies..he got his first 2 at 4months old...i keep expecting them to pop thru any day... I try to give him sometime cold to chew on or give him Hylands Teething Tablets, they seem to work well... If all else fails I give Ean a bath, he is always so happy to be splashing around in the warm water...

I wanted to post on your page just in case you didnt get my response on the 7month page

Hey.....when I read your post on the 5 month page I was a little weirded out cause I just started doing Wii fit too and was soooo sore for 3 days after!!! I really need to loose a lot of weight! I look at pics of Owen and myself and I think I look awful! I know next year he will want to go swimming all the time and I wouldn't be caught dead in a bathing suit now!

Some restaurants have high chairs, or we just bring the pram in and Caden sits in there ... really depends on the restaurant though, we tend to only take him to the more casual family friendly places! It helps to ring and tell them u have a pram with you just to make sure they have the room.

Thank you so much! I think we should both enter out little girls into a contest..they are both so adorable.

Hi! I seen your pic of your baby on the 5 month page. I was just wondering about the little play mat that she is laying on and if it has a bar above that has the toys hanging from it. I have the same play mat, but there is only a little pillow for tummy time, but no bar for toys to hang from. It looks like yours does in the picture. Oh and also, don't worry about your little Maya being a little bigger than what people say she should be. One of my friends little girls was born March 15th and last week at her 4 month appt she weighed 16 lbs and was 26 in long. She is a little chubbier than some other babies her age, but nothing to be worried about! I think it just makes them a little cuter! You know your baby better than anyone else-so don't worry!

Don't you dare listen to your in-laws, you know your baby best. My daughter eats practically the exact same thing your little one is eating and she is only 4 months old. At her 4 month checkup she weighed 14 lbs. 3 oz and was 25 1/2 inches long. Just take what they say with a grain of salt...a very small grain :)

Maya sounds perfectly healthy and in the normal range if you ask me. My son was 16.6 lbs at 4 1/2 month and 26.5 inches. Some babies just appear chunkier than others even though they weigh the same. Don't worry what others say, you know that you are being the best mommy you can and are doing a great job taking care of your little girl.

We have 2 older boys (17 and 8) and they both had the same blue eyes as babies. Now the oldest has dark blue/gray eyes and the younger has light blue/green eyes. Both my husband and I have green eyes. So, I don't know if they will stay blue or not but I bet they do keep changing.

How totally cute she is!! She'll definitely be the cutest gal at the luau. That outfit is adorable. I think your Maya looks like my little girl, Leah. She'll be 4 months this weekend. If you want to see a recent picture, check out the 3 month section about one page back. I posted one of her on there yesterday. They have very similar hair and eyes.

Hi good morning, I saw what you wrote about Barley on the 4 month page and I had a question. My dr. also said to give my son Barley cereal but I can't find it ANYWHERE!! Where did you get it? Thanks for your help!!

pawsitvemama - Wednesday, 2 July
You are so lucky you have hair to play with! My poor baldy has none

hi! I started feeding beckett single grain rice cereal this past week, just a few days before he turned 4 mos. he gets 2 tbsp mixed w/ 3-4 tbsp of breastmilk in the morning along w/ plain breastmilk. the pediatrician told me at the 4 mos appt that I could have waited til 5.5 mos (oops, lol!) but to just keep it to cereal for a couple more mos so tha it's just simple foods.

loriking18 - Wednesday, 28 May

Thanks, i know what you mean. I kind of get mad when people tell my boy is he getting chunky! I feel like i'm making him that way, i just feed him when he wants to eat lol. I think that people need to be a little more nice about things like that. It's like i really can't help it if my little boys a big boy you know?!

Hi there, my daughter is 6.5 weeks old and has started to get really fussy in the last week. She sleeps pertty well during the night only waking for feeds but if she doesn't sleep in the day then its hell for me! And takes much longer to calm her down for sleep at night. All the techniques i used to use to calm her don't have any affect anymore! The more they sleep the more they WILL sleep cause an overtired baby doesn't know how to calm itself. Its a tough time isn t it! Best of luck :)

karenc - Monday, 31 Mar
my son also didn't sleep much during the day but has started to a bit more in the last couple of weeks. i'm sure you've tried a lot of things already to put your little girl to sleep so I apologize if any of this is a repeat. here are some things that I know work for different babies: swaddles, swings, bouncy chairs, slings/snuggli carriers, car seats (and a spin in the car), rides in the stroller, rocking with mom in a chair. one thing my son likes is to lie on his belly and sleep on my chest -- the nurses at the hospital told me that babies like to hear the sound of your heartbeat. sometimes I can then move him to his crib but other times, I just let him sleep and sometimes nap myself. this means that sometimes I don't get much done, but I don't mind much :) I hope some ot these work for you!
