Yesterday, Bailey cut her first tooth! YEAH!!!!!!!!! We are so excited! My little one is growing up way too fast. Luckily, hubby and I still plan on having 3 more (not too soon though).

I can Hardly wait for school to be out! Next Friday is our last day and I get to spend the entire summer with my little girl! Bailey weighs 20 pounds now! She will be 5 months on June 6th. I can't believe how time flies when you're not pregnant anymore! Zach and I are having So much fun with our little girl! The doctor said her height and weight are that of a 7 month old! So, he's not worried about her since she is "equal" in both categories. Maybe she'll be a tall, thin, model someday :).

Bailey will be 3 months on Sunday! I can't believe how quickly time passes. She is the most precious little baby. We love her little laugh. She also has started to try to roll over. She LOVES to have her feet rubbed. She smiles and coos when I rub her feet. I can't tell you how much we love her! I hope all of you are doing well!

Happy Birthday to me! So, I took Bailey to her one month check-up on Wednesday. She weighs 10 pounds now! I can't believe how fast they grow. We also had her 1 month pictures taken yesterday. They are SO cute! I've posted some of them in my photo book. :)

BIRTH STORY:

Sunday morning, (January 6th) I woke up to go to the bathroom about 5AM. My stomach was upset and I felt like I had a gas bubble so I bent over and felt this little pop. I thought it was kind of weird but I went ahead and went back to bed. About 10 minutes later, I rolled over and water started going EVERYWHERE! So, I woke my husband and told him that my water broke. I told him to take a shower b/c I wasn't in any pain and I wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. We got to the hospital about 5:30 and they couldn't tell that my water broke b/c after the first time it kind of stopped. But, I was dilated to a 4 and after she checked me water started leaking again so they went ahead and hooked me up to an IV. About 2 hours later I started having contractions and asked for my epidural b/c I was dilating so fast I was afraid I wouldn't have time to get one. It was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Now, I don't want to scare anyone b/c I'm sure this won't happen to you. I have SEVERE scoliosis and the anesthesiologist had to do my epi 3 times! Anyway, he hit a nerve in my leg and I almost came off the table. So, after that was over, I felt great for about an hour. I couldn't feel anything below my chest. But, it gets better. My epi wore off and they tried sending me more meds but NOTHING worked. I started feeling EVERY contraction and I was in a lot of pain so my husband had to make everyone get out of the room b/c I was literally thinking I was going to die. After everyone left I started breathing through my contractions (THANK GOD for the lamaze breathing class we took or I honestly would not have made it). After about 3 hours of hard labor it was time to push. I knew b/c with each contraction my abdomen would automatically start pushing. I pushed for an hour (only screamed once) and there she was. I was still in massive pain after she came out but after the doctor stitched me up and the placenta came out I started to feel conscious again. I love my baby so much and I'm SO happy she is here!

10 days until I meet my baby! I have now accepted the fact that she will not come until I am induced. As long as she comes soon and is healthy that's all that really matters. I'm just SO nervous about the IV and the epidural. I absolutely hate needles! But, since I have gestational diabetes I've had to poke myself hundreds of times since I've been pregnant and had my blood taken several times. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. So, I guess I'll be going back to work on Monday and be thinking about something besides being pregnant. Hopefully I don't go into labor at school, lol!

I can't do this anymore! I have told myself forever that my baby would come before January 1st and guess what? I'm STILL pregnant! It's my own fault I'm so upset. I really believed she would come before now. I'm so frustrated with my doctor b/c I really think he doesn't care about me. I really liked him at first but now he's just a jerk. Also, I know I'm extra irritable but my husband doesn't like him either. Zach goes to ALL of my appointments with me so that he knows what's going on even though it's never anything considering the doctor doesn't give us ANY information unless we beg and plead for it! AAHH! At least I know that sometime this month, I'll be holding my little girl in my arms and not in my belly! And the next person who tells me I will miss being pregnant when it's all over is going to get hurt! I wish people didn't say stupid things!! I guess I'll stop being negative! I hope everyone has a happy new year and at least we don't have to make a resolution JUST YET to lose weight :).

I don't know what to say except "PLEASE COME OUT, BABY!!!!" We went to the doctor yesterday. He said that I'm dilated to a 2 and totally thinned out, now. But, he said that the baby could come today or the 15th of January. At least I know it won't be more than 2 weeks and 6 days before she's born. I just really want her to come before I'm induced b/c I don't want that anticipation. I think if she comes on her own, I won't be as nervous but if I'm anticipating induction I will be a NERVOUS WRECK! I know all of you mommies are feeling the same way but I REALLLLLLLY want my baby OUT! I can't wait to meet her!

I am SO sore. I have been coughing so hard for 2 days that my ribs feel bruised. Every time I cough I feel like the baby is just going to fall out! My poor husband can't sleep b/c I cough and snore all night b/c I'm so congested. When will this end...

Well, I went to the doctor today! I'm so excited! He said I'm 90% effaced and dilated to a 1+! He said I MIGHT go to my due date, but he really doesn't think so! He said not to go anywhere for Christmas. I'm so excited! I'm hoping my baby comes soon! I want to go find a trampoline to jump on!

Well, it's one month until my actual due date, (but I'll be induced a whole 2 days early, woo whoo). If my back doesn't stop hurting I will find a way to get this baby out! She already dropped and I'm pretty sure she is at least 6 to 7 pounds already. I lost my mucus plug which makes me even more anxious and I'm ready for a break from work. I know everyone is anxious for their babies and everyone thinks it's a bad idea to try anything to get her to come faster but DUDE, I have never felt pain like this before. I don't know if it's from my scoliosis or if I really am having back labor pains. Either way it is NO fun and I'm really anxious to see our little girl.

Well, we managed to have a baby shower even though the snow was falling! We got a lot of things we registered for. Thankfully, Bailey's room is almost finished b/c it can't hold much more.

Well, luckily we didn't lose power but our cable, internet, and phones are all not working. So, I haven't been online in several days. Finally, the school got power back last night and so I'm here "working" today. School has been cancelled all week so I haven't had to work but b/c we were like the only house with power in Oklahoma our friends came over and spent 3 nights with us. I love them and I don't mind helping them out but we live in a 3 bedroom ONE bathroom house! There were 7 of them plus my husband and me. I was feeling a little overwhelmed! But, like I said, I love them and they would have done the same for us. They are gone now which is probably good in case I go into labor soon (which I doubt) :). It was very stressful. I started having contractions and I think I lost my mucus plug. I've called the doctor almost every day this week and I NEVER call the doctor. I started having some mild contractions that were pretty regular for almost an hour but nothing severe. I think I am anticipating my baby a little too much and I've very depressed b/c due to the weather I missed 2 of my 3 baby showers. Now, they will have to be re-scheduled and I don't know when. I really wanted them before my little angel gets here b/c I wanted to have her room all ready. Also, I was quite upset b/c I had all of her bedding washed and when our friends came over, she let her little girl sleep in my baby's bed! My baby isn't even here yet and that is HER bed. Maybe it shouldn't have upset me. I didn't mind that they were at my house but you DON'T let your kid sleep in someone else's bed when they aren't even born yet and I had her room all ready for her! I was so upset I was crying. But what was done, was done. What could I do??? Anyway, I'm glad I got to check-in today. Hopefully our cable company will get a move on today and I will be back online soon!

Well, I'm stuck in the house today. We have had freezing rain since yesterday morning and it's STILL coming! My husband really doesn't want me to go into labor right now! I don't think I will since I have 5 weeks left but I feel huge and I'd love to meet my baby soon. I'm frustrated, though b/c I can't go to work b/c of the weather. If I was working I probably wouldn't be sitting here wondering when my baby will come, lol.

Well, we finally have a date for the induction. It's only 2 days before my due date but it made a WORLD of difference to me! So, at least I KNOW I won't be going past Jan. 15th. 6 weeks and counting! The doctor also said I'm only measuring 32 weeks and I'm almost 34 weeks. I lost 3 pounds at this appointment but they aren't worried about it. Since I've been on a pretty strict diet with my gestational diabetes AND since the baby sits on my stomach I just can't eat as much at a time as I used to. I'm really excited. I can't wait for the rest of my baby showers and for the baby to come! 6 weeks seems SO close but SOOOOO far!

Well, we went to our child birthing class today. I think it really freaked me out more than I expected. I was completely fine until we left. Anyway, at least it was very informative and the breathing techniques really do work. However, i think I am going to have an epidural so hopefully I won't have to use TOO much of it. Also, I'm a little worried that I'm falling into 'pre-pardom depression.' My mom had it with my baby sister and the dietician told me that it's more common in women with gestational diabetes so I have been a little worried about it. Luckily our beautiful baby will be born soon and I should feel a lot better! On a MUCH happier note... it's FINALLY december! We don't have too much longer to go now. YEAH!

WOW! Only 50 days until my baby is due! I'm really getting excited. I have a shower on December 12th and another on December 15th. I can't wait until I get Christmas break so that I can finish getting her room ready. I just stand in there and wonder what else I can do to her room. I'm feeling pretty well and I can't wait to be 33 weeks tomorrow! I know it's getting closer. Everyone at work keeps asking if I can really hold out until January for this baby. She has dropped a little and I'm REALLY sticking out! Thinking of it as days and still having 50 left, I think it would be a lot better for the baby to stay in utero until at least week 36, which by the way, is the last day of work for me! YEAH! I literally have so many countdowns on my calendar at work, it's UNREAL! I have one for when break starts, one for how many days until baby is due, one for how many days until the shower. I hope I'm this happy after the baby is born, lol.

Well, my family decided to have a shower for me. We are going to have to wait until after the baby is born b/c it's too close now and with Christmas and my other shower already in December there is NO way we can plan one before the baby comes. But, I feel kind of bad for saying that they don't care. It's just that since this is our first baby, I need a lot of stuff still and I really worry about having the money to pay for all of it. Anyway, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My sugars have been ALL high all weekend so it's time to get the back on track. I will be SO happy when I don't have gestational diabetes anymore.

We had a babyshower today with my husband's family. Now, I am not complaining or anything but what is the point of registering if no one is going to buy anything off of your registry? Everyone has been so concerned with "when are you going to register? Where are you going to register?" Then, they don't even buy what we need. They just buy the things that they THINK we need!!!! Oh well, at least I think we can take some of the duplicate items back... I hope. It's just frustrating! Oh well. Thank Goodness Zach and I have been buying for over a year!! We really don't need too much besides crib sheets, diapers, and a changing table pad.

Well, we went to the doctor yesterday. He says our baby is decent sized! DUH, have you looked at me, lately? Anyway, he won't give me an induction date until 36 weeks. At my December 17th appt. I will NOT be leaving without a date! I want a healthy baby but I don't want a huge baby! All is well, though. She is doing just fine.

OMG! I just realized, I'm now under 60 days to go!!! YEAH! I can't wait to meet our baby! We go to the doctor tomorrow to find out when I will be induced! I think that will help with the wait! You think the 2ww is long... the last 6-8 week wait is FOREVER! Congrats to all of you mommies!

Zach and I tried for a year and a half to get pregnant. I was finally diagnosed with PCOS in September 2006 and was put on Metformin and Clomid. When my prescription of Clomid ran out, I decided to take a month off from all of my meds and see what would happen. That's when I got pregnant. We were SO excited. There were times I thought it would never happen and I am SO blessed to finally be having a baby.

How did I find out I was pregnant? This is a very funny story!

I always kept pregnancy tests in the bathroom cabinet because we were trying to hard to get pregnant. I bought the good ones the last time. I had a digital clear blue easy. So, Zach asked me to PLEASE take the test. I was 5 days late but I really didn't think anything about it because I had run out of my clomid and so I just KNEW I hadn't ovulated (that was also the only month I didn't chart). I said "I really don't want to take it b/c that is an expensive one and I'm sure I'll start in a few days." He went back into the office and I sat on the couch in the living room. He came back out and asked again. "Please take the test!!!" I refused again but as I sat there, I thought, 'this is really hard for him because he has NO idea from month to month what goes on with my body.' So, I told him I would take the test but HE would have to be the one to look at it b/c I couldn't stand looking at another negative test. I went into the bathroom, peed on the stick, opened the door and handed it to him. I washed my hands and went back to the couch. About a minute later he calls my name. I look down the hallway and his face is white!, PASTY WHITE! He said "Honey, it doesn't say NOT, it just says pregnant!!" So, I tried to wrap my head around what he said but I thought FOR SURE the test was wrong! I said "Are we supposed to cry, laugh, kiss, hug?" I was so in shock! I said, "let's go to the store and get another test, just to be sure." At this point I was starting to shake a little and he couldn't find a shirt. I think we were both panicking a little bit! We finally got to the store and back home with 2 more tests. It was about 7 in the evening so of course the lines weren't showing up TOO well, but they were definitely there! The next day I called the doctor for a blood test and had to wait ALL weekend to find out the results! I was so excited when we went back on Monday and saw our little heartbeat. I always planned how I would tell Zach that I was finally pregnant! All my plans went down the drain when he said "Honey, it doesn't say not!" Now, I'm glad he was the first to know. I think it was a very special moment for both of us!
