More....

I am a stay at home mom / part time student although I'm guessing the student part will get put on hold a bit after the baby is born. DH works two jobs and is currently working on his Masters...so we're super proud of him. My two sweet little boys Nicholas (7) and Mason (4) are a complete joy and blessing to have in my life. In August of 2004 we lost our special baby at 13 weeks and 3 days. This pregnancy has kept me a nervous wreck but with each passing week I get a little bit less worried. Ha Ha I have my level 2 u/s on Thursday 4/19. Thanks for visiting my VIP page

April 19th

I had my big u/s today and found out that I'm expecting beautiful little boy # 3. We are so excited. He weighs 1/2 lbs and his HB was 146. My other DS's are coming to terms with having another brother since they really wanted a little sister but they will be great big brothers I'm sure. Besides maybe we'll get little sister next time around.....if we go for a next time around.

May 8th

I don't really have much of an update. My next appointment is May 14th and I have an U/S scheduled for May 17th. We have decided on a name for our sweet # 3. We are going to call him Aaden Charles.......although I absolutely refused to name my other 2 boys after anyone the Charles is after my grandfather who I love and respect dearly and is almost 81 years old. He sees this as a sign of great respect and that makes it totally worth it to me.

May 17th

I had my 6th ultrasound today. It lasted for an hour and a half and it was already the 2nd attempt at the big u/s. The first time was at 18 weeks and Aaden was too small to see everything. Yesterday he was just so active that he wouldn't hold still long enough for them to focus in on anything. I really enjoyed seeing him do somersaults and kick and push the u/s tech away. It was so sweet and amusing to watch. However after 90 minutes of some major pushing I could barely walk for the rest of the day. How pathetic is that? To get so sore from an U/S! HB was 163 yesterday and Aaden showed us time and time again thats he's definately a little boy!!!

June 12th - 26 weeks tomorrow!!!

I have my next doctor appointment tomorrow at 26 weeks. I will also take my 2nd glucose tolerance test. I took one at 14 weeks because my last DS was so big. I'm feeling pretty good. Baby is moving more these last few days then he had been. I thought maybe he was going to be lazy like my last DS and always make me worry because he wouldn't move much. I'm feeling well. I'm up at least 3 times a night to use the bathroom and I toss and turn all night long. I have been lucky that I don't have much heartburn or acid reflux this time....so thats been a huge relief. My feet have been swollen for weeks. When I go to the pool, I can actually feel the fluid on my feet moving in the water....and it HURTS!!!! I'm use to swelling though.....as I normally have severe edema by delivery time. So far things are great!!!! I will update tomorrow after my appointment if anything new comes up. I'm getting so excited to meet my little Aaden!!!!

June 26th- 28 weeks tomorrow!!!

My blood pressure was high 150/90 when I arrived for my appointment today. I had a bunch of blood work done to determine if I have preeclampsia.....so I'm waiting for those results and hoping for the best. I had preeclampsia with my 1st DS and was borderline with my 2nd. I had pregnancy induced hypertension with both.......but never starting this early or with a blood pressure this high. I was told that I wasn't being put on strict bedrest yet but that I have to lay down as much as possible......although going to the pool is okay because it's been great for keeping my swelling in check. I go back to the doctor on friday to have my BP checked again and to check my cuff with theirs so that we can see the difference in the BP's they are taking.

On the plus side my glucose test came back great. My number was 87 and not even in a range that needs to be worried about......so something positive anyhow.

Wish me luck ladies that I get to keep baby Aaden in and growing for at least another 8 weeks. I just don't want to have him this early........

June 27th - 28 weeks

My blood work came back good. My platelets were 149 and they like them to be 150 or higher but still they are fine at this point. I go back next week to have the labs repeated and to see how quickly or not that this is going to progress on me.

I'll update again after my BP appointment on Friday!!!!

June 29th-

Had my BP check today and it was 142/100 so definately not an improvement. They redid my blood work and I was told they would call if it was abnormal......they didn't call. I have an U/S scheduled for next Tuesday to check babies growth and if the fluid is low. I lost 3lbs from Tuesday to Friday and 9lbs in the last 6 weeks..... Baby's HB sounded good Friday and movement has also been good....so so far I think baby is doing fine. I'll update after my U/S on Tuesday.......I sure hope that everything is alright!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sure.

July 5th- 29 weeks 1 day

At my July 3rd appointment was BP was doing a bit better.....130/90. I went to Maternal Fetal Medicine and had another high risk scan to check babies growth and fluid. My little Aaden is measuring between 32 & 34 weeks and is estimated at a whopping 4lbs and 9oz already!!!! Fluid was fine and no chance of GD since my number was like 87 and it needs to be below 135. I think Aaden might be trying to break the house record for biggest baby which his brother has.....as he weighed 10 lbs 3.4 oz and was 3 weeks early!!!! I'm glad that Aaden is big and strong and doing well. I'm sort of sad to see my chances of a VBAC fly out the window as doc said I could only do it if the baby didn't get too big!!!

My lab work is coming back great and there are no signs of preeclampsia at this point. Just the High BP. Hopefully that will start to come down a bit and Aaden and I can continue on for awhile. I go back on July 10th to have my labs redone so I'll update again then.

July 11th - 30 weeks

My lab work is still coming back good. My BP was 140/98 yesterday though so I'm going to start taking BP medication to try and get it down some. That way I can get back to normal and stop sitting around all the time. YIPPIE!!!!!

I have a scheduled C-section set for Sept. 7th although I still really want a VBAC. Doc said if I go into labor on my own beforehand and there are no issues I can still go for the VBAC....if not then Aaden will make his arrival via C-section on Sept. 7th. I'm hoping that he will come on his own. However most important is just that he and I stay healthy and make it thru delivery. Ha Ha

I go back on July 17th to see how the meds are helping my BP. I'll keep everyone posted.

July 23rd- 31.5 weeks

My BP was still high at my doctor appointment last week so I was told to double and if needed triple my dose. So far I'm tripling the dose and hoping that my BP actually comes down at my next appointment. I am also suppose to have an ultrasound to check on babies size at 32 weeks and a non stress test. Just waiting for the doctor office to call and give me that appointment time.....although they are never very good about actually doing that. I already called and reminded them on friday...so hopefully they will get it together.

July 26th- 32 weeks 1 day

I had an ultrasound for growth and fluid again today. The fluid is still looking good and baby is still getting BIG!!! Aaden is currently measuring at 6 lbs 11 oz. WOW!!!! My C-section isn't for another 6 weeks either....so he's definately going to be a big guy.

The baby did everything he was suppose to during the NST test so that was also good and my BP was down at the doc appointment 128/84 so maybe my meds are finally starting to control it a bit. I sure hope so.

August 15th- 35 weeks!!!!

My BP is still hanging in there since I started on the medication. I'm going for NST's twice a week now to monitor baby closely and I have another scheduled u/s on the 17th to check growth and fluid once again. This time because we know he's so big not to make sure that he's big enough! At my 33 week 6 day appointment I was 1 cm dilated. Baby's head is still pretty high and cervix is still thick......hopefully I will start making more progress soon. I really want to try for a VBAC but baby's head is going to need to come down some more. Wish me luck ladies!!!! If nothing else.....it's 23 days until my scheduled C-section. I can't believe my baby is almost here!!!!

August 17th- 35.2 weeks!!!!

I had my NST today and a growth ultrasound. Baby is doing great. Heart accelerations are good and fluid is great. He is measuring at 8lbs 4 oz right now. They tell me that I just grow them big!!! He looks so cute on the u/s........you just see chub everywhere!!!

September 1st- 37 weeks 3 days

I was 2 cm dilated on Tuesday and baby was finally lower...although not really low. Baby has been doing fine and all the NST's have had good results. My BP was up a bit yesterday 161/85 but came down before I left the office so I'm still on track for a Sept. 7th delivery. Doc has agreed to induce instead of doing the c-section first although she's not sure that I will be able to deliver this baby vaginally since he's going to be a big boy!!!! I'm getting super anxious and nervous about the delivery but I can't wait to finally meet my new little man!!!! Wish me luck ladies. Dec. 3rd

Aaden Charles is growing so fast. He's 12 weeks and already he weighs almost 19 lbs. I guess thats not so much since he was over 10 lbs when he was born. He smiles and coos and is starting to grab a hold of his blanket....it seems so he can stick it in his mouth. He loves to be loved. He's a dream baby and will go out and shop all day long without any complaint but if we are home he just wants to be held all day long. Sure does make it hard to do much housework but for now I'm just so grateful that I have him to hold that some days I stay home and do nothing but just hang out with Aaden. I have posted a few new pics. I will try to do better about getting more on here and more often. To all of you that check in on me. It means a lot and I really appreciate it. Happy Holidays!!!

April 4th

Okay so it's been awhile since I've updated my page. Honestly sometimes I even forget that I HAVE this page! Things have been busy since I returned to school....so finding time to update my page hasn't really been a priority. Aaden is doing so GREAT. He's almost 7 months old. He's the sweetest most loveable baby ever and I cherish every moment of everyday with him. Although he's mad that I'm on the computer and so that's a bit annoying! He's 24lbs now so he's quite the big boy and he's rolling around the house like a mad man. He can sit for a bit but he hasn't mastered that on his own yet. He's almost always happy though and thats just the greatest!!!!
