My milk came in two days later. Yikes! Hurts like heck. I would call a lactation specialist in your area to get advice; especially since you have a premie. the Le Leche League is awesome to work with. If you don't have one in your area, I would look them up on-line.

hi, my milk came in 3 or 4 days after jacks birth, but i know its much more difficult with premies. just keep it up and your milk will increase. you can do it. don't feel bad though if you need to supplement. stress fom your baby being in the nicu doesn't help matters either.

Hello! It took me about 3 days for my milk to come in, and ohmygod did my boobs get HUGE! it was kind of funny, i went to bed and got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and looked in the miror and WOW! lol they went down after a few days though.

my milk started to come in on day 4, it is gradual i can pump 1 oz on 1 side an a half oz on the other side every 2 1/2 hours. my son was 4 weeks early so he had latching problems and just doesnt have the strength to breastfeed until full. i have to let him feed until tired then pump and finish feeding him by bottle.

i've read that milk can take up to a week to come in. But don't worry, your body will continue to make colstrum (sp?) until it does. Also your babies tummy is about the size of a marble and won't get bigger until you feed him more milk (ie when your milk comes in). Good luck!

Hi again! Why do you prefer cancer to gemini? My sister was saying the same thing (that the baby would be cusp actually and that was a good thing) and she prefers cancer too. Just wondering why? (Since it looks like our baby is gonna be a cancer- though I guess you never know)

I found it online--they are quite common. They have to put warnings on everything today. Everyone is so overcautious. Have you ever read pregnancy stories from the 1950's? Talk about horrible, and they all survived! I'm just a firm believer in going with the flow. Good luck!

let me know if you need help with your birth plan. its true, you never know what will happen, but there are a lot of things you can have a preference to. my midwives and nurses were VERY respectful to my birth plan, even though my birth didn't go how i expected. good luck! xo

Just read your comment...I had a bunch of contractions last night too! I had them every 10 minutes for almost 2 hours...then they just quit. I was so frustrated. I just want them to start and not stop until it's over with and i'm holding my little boy.
