Friday, 4 July Well, I have discovered that baby plus returning to work can make my excercise routine a bit tough to maintain. It was a crazy week but I'm going to get up tomorrow morning and I'll try this running thing again. Man, its hot down here. I need to find a treadmill! Hang in there momma! lulu81usc -
Tuesday, 10 June Well thats funny. I originally had a bunch of samples of Enfamil w/ lipil and we went through those and Hunter did pretty well and then we also had samples of Similac. I tried the soy based one first and quickly realized I was going to have to use a gas mask to change those diapers! Yuck! Then we tried the milk based similac and Hunter was super gassy too. I then tried the Enfamil w/ lipil gentlease and he did only one really big and thick poopy a day. I decided to go back to the original and I think once he gets used to it again he'll hopefully do better. I think its better if he's pooping more frequently and if they aren't so thick. It's kind of a trial and error kind of thing. We're going to try to stick with the regular enfamil w/ lipil. Besides the publix brand was only $14 for the giant can as opposed to the $27 Enfamil name brand. I'm trying to pinch pennies here so I recommend finding a formula that works and getting the generic version. I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same. =) Good luck! Hope your little one likes it. Thursday, 8 May I'm happy they were able to turn him back around! That would freak me out so close to being due. LindseyMT -
Wednesday, 7 May WAS your baby in the head down position at your previous doctor appointments and then turned in the last week??? lulu81usc -
Wednesday, 7 May Oh gosh! I feel for you! I can't imagine having to go full term now that I delivered at 38 weeks. Well you are getting mighty close! You know your little one will be arriving soon! As far as the nipples go I have definitely been applying Lansinoh the whole time I've been breastfeeding and I put it on after every time I pump. I think its going to take some time for my wounds to heal but at least they won't get worse now. =) I think I may need to start adding a little bit of formula like you did. I noticed that Hunter seems satisfied at first but can still be a little fussy after a while. Nothing is wrong with him and he'll stop if I give him a little more milk. At this rate, I don't think I can keep up with him! I am trying to pump every two to three hours to keep up my production. We shall see how it goes.=) lulu81usc -
Tuesday, 6 May Well, Hunter was starting to have some pretty bad crying spells. Plus my nipples were getting really bad. They were cracked, bleeding and just gross. It was so hard to watch my precious little guy put my nipples in his mouth. I switched to pumping and he is so happy and my nipples are finally healing. Thank God! A part of me feels kind of guilty but at least he's still getting mommies milk and daddy can join in on the feedings. =) lulu81usc -
Wednesday, 30 April Hunter is doing great! He had his first check up today and it went very well. He's 5 days old and my milk had not really come in yet so I was worried but he's maintained his same weight since he was discharged from the hospital. When he was first born, he weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz. When he was discharged he weighed 6 lb 14 oz which is what he weighed today. That amazes me that they lose wieght at first. The nurse said they get back to their birth wieght around 2 weeks. When I got home, I fed Hunter and we both took a good long nap. Then my milk finally came in. Yay! I feel so much better. I know this would all be easier if I didn't have to have a c-section but its still not so bad. I definitely have learned to stay on top of my pain meds. =) I'll cross my fingers that your little munchkin makes his debut soon! lulu81usc -
Monday, 28 April Hey, we just got home! I am in love! He's soooo cute! Of course I'm a little bias but he's almost edible. He's so sweet and my boxer is being so sweet with him. Oh, I hope my stepdad and husband come back with my pain meds soon...I'm going to need those pretty soon. =) NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
