Hi everyone! I am a 25 year old, stay at home mom. My DH and I have 3 wonderful children, 1 DD and 2 DS. Last fall we decided we would try for 1 more baby, hoping it would be another girl. After only one month of trying, we were succesful! We all were so exited! I immediately started telling DH that we were having twins. He didnt find that too funny, since that would make 5 kids! In Jan. we went to our first u/s, and sure enough we are 10 weeks with TWINS!!! Even though I had that feeling, it was still a huge shock! Especially for DH! After about a week is all, the shock wore off, and the exitment kicked in. My DD thought it would be 2 girls and therefor she was so happy! In Feb. we went in for our second u/s and Baby A is a BOY! We were unable to tell for Baby B. So we thought ok we can handle a boy and a girl, its ok. So last week, at 18 weeks we had another u/s, and found out we have 2 BOYS!!! I was a little bummed at first, because I really wanted my DD to have a sister. But the most important thing is that they are both healthy and growing strong! There is nothing better in life than to create your own family, and watch them grow!

If anyone has any cute name suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Well, my recovery was much worse since I had gone through labor first. Having a scheduled c/s is much easier, i've been told (comparing notes with some of my friends) and recovery is much easier as well. My first suggestion is to take all your drugs that they give you- walking or attempting to walk with no drugs on board for the first week is rough. As soon as you have feeling back in your legs, try to get up. Don't pick up ANYTHING heavier than your babies for the first 6 weeks. Use arnica pellets for at least 10 days to help you heal faster. They are available at most health food stores. After the staples come out (or sutures, depends on what your doc likes to use to close)- try to keep the steri-strips (small tape adhesives used to keep incision tight) on for at least 6 weeks. Ask for extras for when you go home. Replace them if they get itchy or fall off. It will help your incision to heal really well. Also take acidophilous supplements after birth while recovering for at least 6 weeks or while breastfeeding, especially if you've been given antibiotics at all. It will help you to prevent yeast infections. If you have a good health care practitioner, ask if your partner can stay the whole time after the babies are born and until you are ready to go to the recovery room. If your babies are healthy, ask that they can come to you to breast feed within one hour of birth. THe sooner they are breastfeeding, the better. ALso, drink LOts of fluids as soon as they give you the all clear. I was glad to have lots of gatorade after birth. I was also really itchy after the surgery and thankful to have a helpful husband around to rub my back. I also had benedryl to help. Try to stay as still as possible when they put the medications in your back! Be prepared that you may feel very shaky during the surgery. This is due to the medications they use in the anesthetic. I also suggest the moby wrap as a great twin carrier while your babies are really little! (www.mobywrap.com) Congrats and I hope everything goes well! Let me know how it goes for you!

thanks :) i called my doctors office that same day and told them about it, and they made me an appointment the same day. my doctor wasn't there because someone was having their baby (lol)..but this other doctor came in and all he said was "OH IT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVE AN INFECTION." and he told me what he was prescribing. he didn't even tell me what kind of infection it was! i didn't say anything because i knew what it was because the medicine he prescribed me was a medicine i had before for an infection i had. but the stupid thing is, i don't HAVE that infection anymore, i would obviously know.(UTI). and why would it hurt in my stomach like a cramp? i'm glad i have an appointment with my regular OB on tuesday. gosh. sorry about the book i wrote. haha.

Thanks for the info on paragard. I guess I am gonna go with it because I don't really know yet if I would ever want another child. Likely not but just don't want to tie my tubes just yet. I was told about the cramping/heavy periods but ugh..I guess I will try to deal with it. LOL Thanks again! Congrats on your pregnancy!

M.M.Masi - Thursday, 3 July
Don't know. My last scan was at 29.6 (30) and they were 3lbs 14 oz. My next is at (34) next week 7/11. I'll let you know then. But I'm pretty sure they're pushing close to 5 and probably 18 inches. I'm dying to know because I feel them huge. How about yours?

lovinmum - Wednesday, 2 July
Hi yeah not long for you now .I am doing well.I can find out anytime now and im busting to find out the sex of the baby and my partner doesnt know if he wants to ...so im having devious thoughts lol of finding out and not telling him ...its wrong i know but ive been busting to know for 3 weeks now...just not sure if i should tho...what do you think?

M.M.Masi - Saturday, 28 June
I'm glad to see we're a couple of days apart. We can share our war stories. :) There were 2 other moms on here that were also due the same week as me and both have had their babies already and very early. That's scary.

I'm also having two boys! Cool! I have 6 more weeks to go and it really doesn't bother me because I know they'll be ready then to come out.

thanks for your messgage hunni yeah i cant believe im half way there either gone so quickly, i beginning to get fed up with going to the hospital now tho i think i should just move in there hehe i hope your doing well too

Debra - Friday, 20 June
it could also be a couple of strong kicks or head butts to your pelvic bone- which would and can hurt like nobodies business. If so, poking them to move or wearing the maternity belt to lift them up off your pelvis might help too.
