Oct 8th 2008

I gave birth early on Sept 22nd! I went into labor at home on Sunday the 21st. I went to the restroom and saw bright red blood. I had been having a few braxton hicks contraction, but nothing painful. I called the hospital and they told me to come on in. When I got there I was still 2 cm dialated and then 1 hour later I was 4 cm dialted and 90% thinned out. They would not let me go home because the labor was moving to fast, and I was having VBAC vaginal birth after c-section. This lasted all day sunday and then I had him Monday morning at 9:50 a.m. vaginal deliverey and only 20 min of pushing. He was barely 36 weeks and weighed 5lb 13 oz! I am now working on breastfeeding and loving this new little addition!!!

I have two wonderful children. Nicole who is eight years old, and TY he is 14 months. I was suprised to see I was pregnant with third. I am very excited although I will have my hands full with two so close in age! With my first I had vaginal delivery with my second I had emergency c-section. My doctor is going to allow me to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). The only catch is I have to be in labor by my due date. I was very surprise to find out we are having a boy!! I felt like it was going to be a girl. We can't wait for our little man to get here!

I am just taking my insulin more often, like I'm my own pump. my arm is really bruised, but I'm keeping the numbers in control only with constant checking and adjusting. It is actually gotten better now where it may only be 2 extra needles a day, which is great! I've only had diabetes for the past 2.5 years so I'm still learning right now. BTW...you are due on my birthday! whoopie! lol

Thanks for the comment. I will ask for that test. Right now trying to control it with diet but my mornings are high. Thanks for the info. I will probably be asking lots of questions. I am a little less worried now but still concerned.

He induced with pitocin about 12 hours after he inserted a balloon like thing into my cervix and blew it up to 3cm to get me to start dilating and it definately worked!

Hi Momo,

I am considering VBAMC (multiple c-sections) I have had 3 c-sections and I desire a Natural Vaginal birth this time around. I have been searching the web for women who have gone through this after multiple c-sections and I stumbled across the website that I sent you. The Dr.'s always scare you into thinking that 1 or 2 c-sections mean always a c-section and I didn't agree with that.

Hello,
I am in the same situation, it seems that for no reason I will get a high sugar. I have been told that an occasional high will not cause any specific damage and not to get too stressed out about it. I know it is crazy, but I kind of like getting the extra attention from the diabetes... I am geting ultrasound pictures on a weekly basis (quite the baby book started already!)I feel that my team of doctors are as excited as me about how well things are going. My first was alao an emergency c-sec and we are also hoping for a VBAC birth. Best wishes!

Hi! I had a VBAC with my 3rd child and I had a few complications only because my doctor would never do an ultrasound to determine size and due date. She was too big and had shoulder distocia. she is 7 years old now and completely healthy. I am now having twins and have to have a c section because doctor feels it's too risky with two of them. Recovery is much better with VBAC. I hope that helps. Most VBACS are successful. Good luick to you

Hi Momo.. I found a good website on VBAC's and VBAMC (multiple c-sections). I am suggesting that you read the stories from different women. There was one woman that had 7 c-sections and the last one was vaginal. Wow. http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/CSANDVBAC/csvbacindex.html#VBAC%20After%20Multiple%20Cesareans%20FAQs

I had an emergency c-section with my son 2 years ago (xmas day to be exact) I never want to go through that pain again so i'm going try a vbac despite my doctor's suggestion. My sister had a successful vbac so I say it's worth the try...good luck!

I had a VBAC no problems, it was wonderful not to have to go through another c-section.

Hi there xxx
I have never experienced a c-section, both my children were natural births.
However my niece has 4 children, the 1st was c-section & the rest were natural. she didn't even have pain relief bless her, i think so long as the baby is fine & natural is possible there is no reason why u won't have a natural birth.
c-sections r only 4 medical reasons.........

Hi there...I hear ya. Just read yr post in the 7 weeks page. I have been going thru the exact same myself...just ate a full meal but tummy's still grumbling ! its crazy huh ? It's like I need to munch on something every now and then or else the grumble starts or I just gag !!

flamingoblue - Friday, 7 Mar
I am craving oranges. I drink lots of orange juice ( five alive is my favorite) and am snacking on oranges during the day at work. Some smells are starting to put me off though. I make sure to try and eat lots of grains and good stuff....but some days I could eat a full plate of brownies :)

ice-maiden - Friday, 7 Mar
Yeah Chick,
I can agree with that, I guess my body is lacking sugar. As i said I'm not a sweety person I prefer savoury salty foods, the strange thing is I have'nt wanted salt so maybe my body has more than enough already ha ha.
The problem I have is because I'm not used to eating so much sugar its going straight through me!!!
3 trips this morning to the loo, I just hope the baby appreciates it!!

thank you!

According to the measurment on the ultrasound pic. The baby is 1.23 cm or 12.3 mm according to a converter I found.

Why do you ask?
