I gave birth early on Sept 22nd! I went into labor at home on Sunday the 21st. I went to the restroom and saw bright red blood. I had been having a few braxton hicks contraction, but nothing painful. I called the hospital and they told me to come on in. When I got there I was still 2 cm dialated and then 1 hour later I was 4 cm dialted and 90% thinned out. They would not let me go home because the labor was moving to fast, and I was having VBAC vaginal birth after c-section. This lasted all day sunday and then I had him Monday morning at 9:50 a.m. vaginal deliverey and only 20 min of pushing. He was barely 36 weeks and weighed 5lb 13 oz! I am now working on breastfeeding and loving this new little addition!!!

I have two wonderful children. Nicole who is eight years old, and TY he is 14 months. I was suprised to see I was pregnant with third. I am very excited although I will have my hands full with two so close in age! With my first I had vaginal delivery with my second I had emergency c-section. My doctor is going to allow me to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). The only catch is I have to be in labor by my due date. I was very surprise to find out we are having a boy!! I felt like it was going to be a girl. We can't wait for our little man to get here!

No ur not supposed to have sex in any kind of water because the water can be pushed up into the vagina and cause bacteria to build up. That's how u get an infection

Hey i was just wondering...You said you are having a boy...what week did you get to find that out? I go to the doc on the 6th and ill be 17 weeks then. I dont know if im getting a u/s because they have them in the same building so you dont have to schedual one ahead of time...I am just so curious right now about the odds of me finding out. I eat all organic too. I converted to that kind of diet about 6 years ago when I first started acupuncture school. Kefir can be found at a natural foods store. I use soy protein powder from Whole Foods and I do get freaked out about the number of ingredients but I figure it's better than not getting enough protein and I use soy only because between the kefir and cottage cheese, I feel like my body is on dairy-overload.
I go for the big ultrasound on Monday, hopefully the baby is growing and healthy and I can feel like all the obsessing I do about my diet is worth it!

Yeah I dont think I said anything wrong either. But she got all defensive about it. Did u happen to see her response to it, before they administrator deleted it? I think I must have hit the nail right on the head for her to get so mad. I cant believe there are so many people that think what I said was so bad. Its kinda funny.

I was 17 weeks when they said girl the baby only opened it's legs for a couple of seconds though and they didnt get a pic so I was kinda questioning wether they were right or not I'm just glad he opened his legs this time and din't wait til delivery!

Hi there - saw your comment about protein. Sometimes I struggle with getting enough too and I have a couple of tricks: I drink protein shakes or add protein powder to milk, put almond butter on everything, I've been eating quinoa, which is a grain that is high in protein and I've also been choking down cottage cheese, which isn't my favorite, but has 14 grams of protein per 1/2 cup. Another thing I've been drinking is called "Kefir" It is another dairy product and it has a lot of protein and great probiotics in it, which are good for digestion. It also comes in lots of yummy flavors so I actually like drinking it.

Hey sorry it took so long to respond....the ruled out spina bifida from, the 2nd level u/s....they told me not to worry about the test results because so many people get false positives on those...so they're not very accurate....we're not going to do an amnio because the side effect could be miscarriage...or prem. Labor so we're just gna wait till the baby's born....because we're gna love him the same regardless...but I have a follow up on thursday because the u/s tech said that it could be a developmental problem because that runs in my family......so we'll know more on thursday....but I wouldn't worry too much uintil u have the u/s.its not good for u or the baby if u worry...so good luck with things and let me know what happens!!!....ill keep u 2 in my thoughts

Thanks for your message. I basically have a high white cell count and a low red, which would indicate I am fighting some sort of infection. I feel completely fine, so although the doctor has sent me for some further tests, I am not now unduly worried. Thanks again for your concern though. Good luck with your pregnancy. It's my third also, so I know what you mean about having your hands full!

Oh yeah. I would love to have a small baby, but...the liklihood of that is slim. My smallest was 8 lbs, then 9.4 and 9.9 is my oldest and biggest. Just once I would like to see what it felt like to have a 7 pounder! LOL

Yes is very happy about the boy, He really want one and this is going to be my last baby so I was praying too. So I am really happy it turned out the way it did.I was like you I really felt it was a girl.After we found out my daughter keep saying its a girl and finally she accepted its a boy.

I think the weight of your baby is spot on. When I had my u/s at 16 wk 5 days my little girl weighed 6 oz. Now that was two weeks ago so she is probably right about where yours is.

Thanks for the response! I was wondering because each week my baby's heartbeat drops a little more! Its around 146 right now and it used to be consistently around 153. So that is good to know!
