I gave birth early on Sept 22nd! I went into labor at home on Sunday the 21st. I went to the restroom and saw bright red blood. I had been having a few braxton hicks contraction, but nothing painful. I called the hospital and they told me to come on in. When I got there I was still 2 cm dialated and then 1 hour later I was 4 cm dialted and 90% thinned out. They would not let me go home because the labor was moving to fast, and I was having VBAC vaginal birth after c-section. This lasted all day sunday and then I had him Monday morning at 9:50 a.m. vaginal deliverey and only 20 min of pushing. He was barely 36 weeks and weighed 5lb 13 oz! I am now working on breastfeeding and loving this new little addition!!!

I have two wonderful children. Nicole who is eight years old, and TY he is 14 months. I was suprised to see I was pregnant with third. I am very excited although I will have my hands full with two so close in age! With my first I had vaginal delivery with my second I had emergency c-section. My doctor is going to allow me to have a VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). The only catch is I have to be in labor by my due date. I was very surprise to find out we are having a boy!! I felt like it was going to be a girl. We can't wait for our little man to get here!

Hi! Just saw your question about the 3D ultrasound. My insurance (Aetna) did cover it. However, when I called the place to schedule it they gave me a bunch of insurance billing codes and told me to call my insurance company and make sure that they did cover it. Well, I called my insurance company and they told me that they only covered ONE of the billing codes! I called my doctor's office in a panick and they told me that they find a "reason" to make it medically necessary to have the 3D done. So that u/s was about 5 weeks ago and yes, Aetna DID end up paying for it in full.

I have had great luck with Motherhood Maternity as far as shirts. Pants I havent bought yet, but they have some cute ones. Also, Mimi Maternity. Try waist band also. You put it around the outside of your pants and holds them up. My friends told me about them the other day...Good luck!

So I see im on alot of insulin I guess I am bad. Usually I am just on pills. But after I have the baby im going to see if I could just stay on insulin cause to tell u the truth it didnt seem like the pills were helping. Also it would help if I lost weight.

I know this is a stupid question but, is it really bad that my sugar jumps around alot? like for the past 2 days the highest reading i have had is 148 after 1hr. The lowest is 67 before I eat.He has me on 48R 40N in A.M and 24R before dinner and 30N before bed.

Ok im starting to think my Dr is a Jerk cause he wants it to be less than 120 1 hr after meals. When I told my sweet sucess counsler that he wanted it checked after a hour she thought that was weird.But she said I guess you better listen to your Dr. It just seems like he is trying to make my life hard for me.

Hi I was wondering what kind of readings 1 hr after meals are too high? Also my A1c was 7.5 im just so stressed sometimes I feel like dont want to eat because im scared my sugar is going to get too high and my Dr is going to give me a hard time. He has already said if I dont control it better that he is going to discharge me as his patient. My sugars jump around alot.

Thank you for your encouragement, it has been really hard for me to stick to the new menu. My Dr tells me scary stuff like your baby could be still born or get stuck coming out. He makes me mad. But its all in God's hands its his will. Thanks again and Congrats to you also!!

Good morning, Hope all is well. I went back to the high risk doc yesterday. I have been on insulin since 03/17/08. They said all was good. Still adjusting my morning to get it right but other than that I have no real big problems with giving myself insulin. You wrote to me before asked me to find out what my A1C was. On 03/17/08 at my first appt at the high risk they did that lab work. I got the results and they said it was 6.1. They said that was good and I should keep up the good work. They also said the urine collection labwork was good also. I am getting a little less scared and worried all the time. I have my ultrasound on 05/06/08. I can't wait. I just want to know the baby is developing well. Thanks for the support

hi ya. i also had the dizzy spells lately and nearly fainted at one point. I went to the doctor and she said my blood pressure was low which causes the dizzyness. her advise was to drink more fluids and it seems to have worked. congrads on ur pregnancy :-)

I actually switch doctors because mine was not supportive at all of VBAC.. He did them..but he wasn't supportive of VBAC of Natural childbirth or even breastfeeding. I am going to be traveling over an hour to see a midwife and doctor that are really supportive and Natural Birth friendly.
You should discuss this with you doctor ASAP. More than likely you will find out your doctor will not do them at all or will do them and is just not supportive. I have a GREAT list of questions to ask your doctor. I would highly recommend you take the list with you to ask your doctor. You will find out when you start asking questions and they start telling you that they will put an epidural just in case, or they target heavy on the “risks” of vbac and none on the c-section risks, or they start talking heavy on monitoring and interventions…so keep your eyes open and ask many questions to really see where they truly stand on VBAC.

Hey Congrats! Had and issue with weight gain in my first pregnancy too. My NP who is GREAT!!! suggested the carnation breakfast shakes...along with fresh fuit/milk/and or juice would help...and it did...Well hope it helps.

oh im sorry too.i read t the wrong way and had evyn in my arms also..lol Yeah M/S not alot no more but at night..it sneaks up on me i felt it like 3 days ago around the time i bath devyn up and get him to the crib and i came over me and a bad headache too so i passed on the bath for him i wiped his face and told him mommy will bath u in the morning..lol i felt bad but yeah i get it here in there...not too bad no more which is good and if i do i rather get at night while my kids are sleeping its easier...

ummm yeah..lol AFter i found out that i was pregnant with devyn i was happy & nervous but always thought of my other baby i lost and felt sad and heartbroken..Im over it..but yes i still think of it..but if the baby made it i wouldnt have devyn u know..so it was for a reason they say maybe too many chromosomes caused it then the other doctor said my uterus wasnt strong enough for the baby to hold on..it makes me sad everytime i think of those words..
