:) - Thursday, 29 May
i was 110 before getting pregnant, and 142 when i delivered. i had a c-section, so i can't really say too much, but i def still looked about 6 mo pregnant after mattie was born. i was about 136 when i got home; i thought i was supposed to be a lot lighter! lol. i lost about a lb a day for a week w/out doing anything. my guess is that all thats left after baby is normal and goes away gradually. after that first week, im still at 122. mattie's one month old now. so...i guess its normal. my family also told me i still looked pregnant...it didn't help to make me feel better lol

Your belly size is normal it will go down eventually, the uterus takes 6 full weeks to go back to the normal size it was before pregnant. so don't worry to much about, even tought i know you want it gone now, just like me. LOL

Congrats Monica and thank you for sharing about the pitocin, I was scared to death about taking it which I might have to do on Friday. It's so nice to hear good stories instead of horror stories!! Enjoy your little girl!

i wouldnt worry about them having to induce you...im sure it will happen on its own before then...there doesnt have to be signs before you go into labor...it could happen all at once, out of the blue..i was 40 weeks when that happened...the day before my due date...all i can say is good luck and no matter how or when it happens, you will have a beautiful baby in not very long at all..i am 39 weeks right now..and im so anxious too...but its very soon for both of us...congratulations

Yeah that sounds a little scary. I dont know how many cm mine is, but I was told that I have plenty. I am sure they wouldn't let you wait if your baby was in any kind of danger! But I understand your worries - I worry a lot too - it will be so good to hold that little baby in my arms so I can see what he's getting up to and take care of him :-)

They dont induce here until 42w0d - and then only very slowly. It takes up to 5 days from first day of induction until delivery(if the cervix or the baby is being stubborn). They try and encourage your body to go into labor, without the pitocin IV and harsh things like that. Only when nothing else seems to work - they start you on those strong meds.

They do monitor you very closely after 41+3 though.

:-) Labordust to us all!
