Here is a list of the common culprits: cow's milk products, soy, wheat, corn, eggs, and peanuts. Which I think would leave corn and wheat as possible offenders. I have heard of someone doing an elimination diet, let me see if I can find it. I know it was just eating orange veggies and something else and then adding other things slowly and watching for a reaction. It takes between 4-24 hours from when you eat the offending product until when your baby reacts to it. It's a huge time frame, I know. For me it was always right around 12 hours and it has been cabbage, milk, and peanut butter, which I know you are avoiding. Let me see if I can't find the info about the elimination diet. Sorry your little one is having a rough time!!!!

www.addalittlelove.com has hands free "bustiers" for the medela pumps.
I have the backpack pump in style & I use it w/ my bustier in the car, at my desk, on the internet....it's FANTASTIC! :) I think they are ~$30, and shipping is only $5 for all orders.

My baby at 12 weeks is taking at least 6 ounces, sometimes a little more (I have been exclusively pumping since the beginning so I have a good idea of what he takes). He was big like yours, and has been taking at least 4 ounces for a long time - I know he was on 5 ounces a month ago. So, I would try it out pumping and see, it may vary from feeding to feeding, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took more like 4 ounces than 2-3.

thats a good idea! we triple layered the changing table and put a towel on the sides where theres just little wood bars so poop didnt fly through there. plus we actually have learned to wait a few minutes after we hear the first little toot before we go to change her. its those surprise ones that get us though!!!

Around that age my baby took 2-3 ounces of pumped breastmilk. He was 7 15 and was 12 pounds 26 inches long by 2 months. Now I'm estimating he takes at least 5 ounces, he's almost 3 months. I'll be leaving him overnight with his grandmother at the end of the month and am preparing two 2.5 ounce bottles per feeding and hope that works.

kellymom.com has a growth chart on there.

I would prepare 2-3 ounces and see how it goes. My baby is 11 weeks and she is just taking almost 4 ounces in a bottle. But in the beginning she was about 2-3 ounces. Good luck!

A tummy tuck is the only way I know of. I had my first 5 years ago and I still had some wrinkled skin (it does tighten a bit with time) and the stretch marks are permanent. They will lighten to more of a brown or tan color with time but the only way to get rid of them completely is to go in and get a tummy tuck. Good luck doll and congratulations!

I had a c section almost 10 weeks ago. I have lost my pregnancy weight all but a few lbs and my stomach is still slightly flabby. I have to admit though I haven't worked out at all. I want to start baby yoga.

Thanks for the info...he still wont take it. I bought a couple of different bottles and nipples. The only one he'll almost take is the Dr. Browns bottle. It is driving my crazy! I don't know what to do. He's going to need to take the bottle.

I'll look up the MAM bottle on the internet. Thanks again!

thanks for the ideas! ive dont all that except the bathing thing, his stump is still not fully gone, so ive been real wary of it. maybe i will try that though, with a lot of help from the s.o to prevent belly wetting!!! thanks again!!!

That is how Jamison was/is. The only way I get any extra is when he sleeps extra good and I wake up engorged.

If your baby is only a month old then pumping 2 oz per breast is normal. Your baby will get more eating directly from your breast then you will get from pumping.

my friend who is trying to exclusively breastfeed twins has been taking fenugreek pills. she says that has helped a lot.

mom2boy - Tuesday, 10 June
Babies nurse more efficiently than pumps so I am sure after that 2 oz is pumped there is still more in there. As far as how to get it out, you could try a more expensive pump. I know some places will rent hospital grade ones. Also I have been pumping in the mornings that Jamison sleeps a lot because I wake up engorged, and then freeze it so I have a supply built up just in case. When do you go back?

JOSSLYNS-MAMA - Monday, 9 June
Hi there! Just to share, I get the most milk when I pump while I breastfeed, it just comes flowing at that time. Then I would pump the other right after she finishes eating off it. Hope that helps!

emma1230 - Monday, 9 June
hey there! pumping doesn't use the same sucking power as our little ones, so even though you aren't getting a ton of milk when you pump, your little munchkin is sucking enough out of you.. if that makes any sense. drink a ton of water and see if that works.. my cousin used to nurse on one boob and pump on the other all at the same time, and she got tons more milk that way, for whatever reason.. i think having baby near helps too.. your body senses them and the milk flows! try doing both at the same time and see how it works.. hope this helps.. emily

i too, don't usually get much when i pump. usually only 3 ounces, I don't know if your baby likes formula, but i plan on using formula when i'm at work, and breastfeeding anytime i'm not working and weekends. my son loves both formula and nursing. also, when us mommy's are home all day, we can't pump as much cause we are nursing all the time. If you go to work four a few hours or more, your breasts will become engorged, and when you get home you'll be dying to pump cause they will hurt and be so hard. Then you should get more than a couple ounces, and maybe then you'll have milk for the next day your at work. good luck!

Jo-Mama - Monday, 9 June
To get more milk when you pump drink tons of water (you have to be really well hydrated to produce more milk). Pump often so your body gets used to pumping.

mommylaurie - Monday, 9 June
It also helps to have a picture to look at while pumping and to pump as often as you can. I only get about 2oz each side each pumping, but when it adds up to 12 oz for the 8 hours I am gone, it is enough and don't be afraid to give some formula if you need to.

MilMom2Be - Monday, 9 June
Babies always get more from the breast than a pump will, they are built to get that milk! Just keep pumping is all I can tell you, after you feed from the breast, and he is done, pump for 15 min, even if you are not getting much. It will bring up your supply, and your body will get used to the pump. When I first started I could get at most 4 oz total, now my one breast gives 8oz, the other 4 oz, so it worked for me, Hope it works for you!

DeeRod - Monday, 9 June
You can try feeding you little one at one breast in the morning and then pump the other side~usually you are fullest then. Also, you can pump in between feedings. The amount the need is based on weight. You can look up on the web what you son should be eating based on weight. Babies will finish a bottle because it is fast and easy but may not need all those ounces. Check out www.kellymom.com for other good advice. Hope this helps!!

Hi Monika,
Just use it as you would talcum powder and apply it to the area where there is diaper rash. It has the added benfit of 'wicking away' poo and pee so that it is easier to clean the baby! I just bought some cornstarch for my baby thiis afternoon and it already helps with his rash.
