Sunday, 8 June After 2 weeks of Nystatin with no improvement, your Dr. will probably give you Diflucan. It's a much stronger yeast infection med. Because of the anitibiotics I was given during labor (I was B strep pos.), both my sons had yeast infections within a week or two of birth. My prescrip for Nystatin is for 2 ml 4 times per day, though. And you need to be rubbing it on your nipples if you're breast feeding at all because you probably have it too. If not, you're just passing it back to him. My first son didn't get better w/ 2 weeks of Nystatin, and that's when I got the diflucan. It works great, but is much stronger, so drs want to try the Nystatin first... Good luck. I spent many hours w/ my son's naked bum in the air in a sunny spot - trying to get rid of the rash. I use Butt Paste now, w/ every diaper change -- just to be safe. :) monica9 -

Friday, 6 June just occasionally, i'm having to supplement with formula so sometimes i'll give her some before the bottle because it makes her gassy otherwise, if i can tell she's gassy, or if i've done everything else and she's still fussy. but it's wonderful! beautifulbebe -
Friday, 6 June Hi Monika, a friend of mine who has kids that are intheir thirties recommended corn starch. It works really well and got rid of Anthony's rash within a day! It's cheap too. njdevchick -
Friday, 6 June My son had a bad diaper rash when he was first born and his rear end was raw, a friend of mine gave me this tube of cream called Triple ointment, it is by the baby creams, it did WONDERS, his rash was gone within 2 days and he has not gotten one since and it has been 3 weeks!! Thursday, 5 June No Infocol is an over the counter thing you can use from birth before every feed. To be honest it's only worked a little bit!!! xXx cate -
Thursday, 5 June I've used Mylicon for infants. It works great! bellakimmie -
Thursday, 5 June My son also is a fussy baby and very gassy. I'm not sure if it's colic, but I use drops called OVOL drops and I use them after every feeding to disolve the gas bubbles. Helps a lot. Good luck! bellakimmie -
Wednesday, 4 June Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it. MilMom2Be -
Tuesday, 3 June I tried to drive 2 weeks after, only drove maybe five miles, but felt like a cripple for the next two days, hurt so bad! I guess we heal at different rates! MariaC -
Tuesday, 3 June I tried infocol on my little one before every feed and it's worked a treat though it took a few days. Mine had a very sore bottom too, I tried everything then it turned out to be thrush so needed medication. It might do you to get checked. Keep me posted. xXx sherryh -
Monday, 2 June Hi read your comment on the breastfeeding, I had hired a Lactation Consultant to come into our home and she told me that the baby should be on one breast for 15 mins. ( that is if they are sucking the whole time with gulps) if they seem hungry still , then burp them and move to the other breast. At the age of 3 weeks ( depending on how much he weighs) it should be 3-4 ozs. I think alot of times babies after feeding just want to cont. sucking so maybe offer a pacifer. Hope that helps you.

Sunday, 1 June I know how difficult it is when they cry. Not only is it nerve wracking but it is heartbreaking too when you can't help them! My mom has a lot of kids, and often watches her many grandchildren too. She always tells us the best way to help a sore bottom is to wash it with soap and water after every BM. I noticed my son was slightly red during a diaper change last week, so I filled up a dish basin we use for his bath and sat him in it. I just washed his bottom and redressed him. He wasn't red anymore after that. It might be worth a try! Good luck... we'll make it through this infant stage! lauzonheather -

Sunday, 1 June Oh you poor thing, sorry to hear that. Sounds very exhausting. Charlotte was slightly the same in the first few weeks, but she ate every 3 hours and only cried from about 9pm-1am, but honestly it gets better, and a lot faster than you think it will. I just can't believe how lucky i am with her, she sleeps through the night. Use to be 10 hours from 9pm-7am, now its 9pm-5am feeds and sleeps till about 9-9.30am, which is so so good. I am over sleeping which isn't good lol, i can't be bothered getting out of bed when i've over slept. I did better when she was doing 5 hours then a 3 hours through the night, i was much more energetic then! Ummm what else, not too much, we are going to give her some solids in about 2 weeks when she is 4 months old. I am looking forward to making pumpkin and carrot mush hehe... Hang in there!!!!! xx nmck -
Friday, 30 May My baby was a bit fussy. My doctor decided it was acid reflux. Look up the symptoms in babies and see if it fits your baby. My son started taking baby Zantac earlier this week. LC Melbourne -

Sunday, 11 May Sorry it took so long to reply! We just got home yesterday with baby Connor! My blood pressure was staying consistently about 140/90 but it would go up higher to like 150/100. But, I called my OB at the 140/90. Good luck to you! LC Melbourne -
Sunday, 11 May Hey
I wore bigger knickers that go up higher to avoid it near my stitches, trackie pants and a t-shirt. Umm i think i ate like a few hours later and i suggest only liquids at the start. Maybe some icecream or jelly something easy on your tummy and nothing too pull on our too much flavour, i had the soup and i through up lol it was just too much for my tummy, then i just had lots of water and juice. Hope that helps good luck. winnowillr -

Monday, 5 May It must be so exciting having a date now!!! Congrats, and good luck!!! I'm still hanging in and waiting... I don't see my Doc until Thurday. Hopefully he will do something to get the ball rolling. I don't want this babe to be too big to pass naturally!!!
I will be praying for you to have a happy, healthy baby and for quick healing from the C-section!! Enjoy every second with your precious bambino! Mizzy -
Monday, 5 May With whatever you decide your baby will be here soon! :) LC Melbourne -
Sunday, 4 May hi. i had a c-section, it was much better than i first thought it would be. remember its the safest way a baby can be delivered also. recovery depends on lots of things age, fitness... the first 3 days were very painful to stand and walk around, but once it got to day 4 i could walk around very easily and felt much better. make sure people help you. i breastfeed my daughter as soon as i got into my room, it was easy and i loved it straight away, charlotte was very good at it and i seemed to know instinctly how to hold her and put her on my breast without a worry. mind u its still fresh and ur nipples aren't use to it plus bubby isnt an expert yet so you'll most likely get sore cracked nipples. which for me went away after a week or 2. anyways good luck for thursday, let me know how u go and if u have anymore questions. x lc
