So I am 14 weeks and things seem to be going well. I lost my last pregnancy in the 1st trimester, so it has been stressful, but I am starting to feel better. I rented a doppler which I use every night and that has eased my mind. My husband has been super supportive and sweet; I am lucky. The greatest stress right now comes from my job, which I took on when I thought we could not get pregnant. Those trying to get pregnant--do not dismiss the power of piss poor timing to get you pregnant. I am founding a new high school and am supposed to be principal starting July 1. I am due July 7. So we are still navigating the changes, and are being met with a lot of negative energy from some folks here, which is hard to deal with while hormones are raging. I have no friends or family here other than my husband and dogs, so that makes me nervous, too, but if I have a healthy, happy baby, it will totally all be worth it. Baby dust to all, and those who are trying to conceive--it really happens when you expect it least! Don `t give up.

so i `m 19 weeks and officially having a girl. lula belle. everything looked good at the utrasound, and since i `ve been in bed with the flu for 5 days, i went ahead and registered on target.com. i used the baby lists book to guide me and it took the guess work out of everything--i highly recommend it. still not feeling movement regularly and still have a hard time believing i `m actually pregnant, but all seems to be well. getting the flu while pregnant sucks. avoid sick people at all costs.

So here I am at 24 weeks. This has been such a cool experience. Lula `s moving around a lot, and we can finally see some of her hard kicks and punches. I feel her move the most when I `m eating, which is probably an indication of just how much joy I am taking in eating. That and the 25 pounds I `ve gained. So far the two big things I `ve craved the most are strawberries and fried fish. I `m mostly feeling good, just tired because I `m having a hard time sleeping (former stomach sleeper). I `m loving prenatal yoga and just wish I lived closer to my friends--being knocked up for the first time in a city where I have no friends and feel out of place kind of sucks. But I am so stoked about this little girl and my husband is being an absolute saint.

i havent thought much about my birthing plan cause i dont have much control over it. i will be induced by the 39th week if i dont deliver before then b/c of the blood thinners im on, it needs to be a controlled enviroment so my life isnt in danger. i also may not be albe to have an epideral b/c with the blood thinners im on it can cause paralasis, so besides the induction i just may have to do it natural and drug free. i just hope shem comes on her own between 36-38 weeks, that would be my ideal outcome. Ophelia is moving around alot too and the other we played music for her and she was kicking alot.

im doing good. ive been feeling movement since week 18, im laying here trying to see if i can feel any now! i feel like a house too, ive gained 13 lbs in the last month, its depressing. and i feel like crap today from lack of sleep last night. ugh! i have a doc appointment on 2/28 so thats another u/s for me and another look @ Ophelia :)

lula belle, i like it! its unique , i cant stand all the names people keep posting, so common and every other kid will have the same name. thats why i like that we chose Ophelia, not alot of those around either. :)

Hey, I am interviewing
at Gompers MS. I have substituted there before and it will be a challenge- that I am totally amped for. I also like the staff I have worked with which is way better than knowing no one. (Don't know if you have been there but it is covered in really quality graffiti style murals- perfect!) My boy is going nuts in my stomach and all is well in Cali - hope all is good with you too!

Hi! No problem :) It is the best to start as early as possible and practice almost every day! I started only when I was 32 weeks and I feel like I wish I had more time to practice the relaxation techniques, but I think I will be fine :) Good luck to you!!!

I would like south LA .. Wilmington is cool.(Good advice on the magnets) Because I'm interviewing now I am sure that it will be mostly south Central. Finding clothes to cover up that are not hideous is also not so fun, especially when art is something that the learners totally relate to.
