Hi All! I'm Monique and just a bit about me and this special time in my life. Mark and I have been together a couple of years and we are so excited about being pregnant with our first child. We found out on the 4th January, which was fantastic news to start the year!! We had our first scan on the 4th March. WOW I am so glad I have that memory. We hope to find out the sex of the baby at our next scan on the 22nd April, fingers crossed that the legs arn't crosed!

22.04.08 Had my scan this morning. 21 weeks and 4 days and so glad that everything is ok. I am also a proud mum to be of a BOY!!! It was so wonderful to meet our baby for the second time and feel so blessed! I now feel him moving and kicking everyday. As for me I am feeling great and just enjoying my pregnancy as much as I can. I take the good with the bad days like everyone else... sometimes I have no energy and feel tired all day long. Mark is so excited and he has been such a fantastic person I couldn't ask for anymore. We will be moving at the end of next month to cater for our new family. Then I can start shopping for the little one and getting prepared for his arrival. Anyways....change is as good as a holiday! At work there are four ladies who are pregnant too!!! So you can imagen what we're talking about...

hey everyone! im so sorry iv not been in touch sooner been a mummys hard lol

iv got 121 messages to read lol i dont think ill be able to reply to them all but heres a quicky to update you all

i had the baby FINALLY 15 days late after having 4 prostin tablets and my waters broken she was born after 5 hours of labour and 40 minutes of pushing....

yes thats right i said SHE lol. i got a girly baby and i couldnt be happier shes absolutly adorable, Andy and i called her Amy Felicity as he likes the name Amy and i wanted to call her Felicity after my friends little sister.

ill be putting pics up in a jiffy so keep looking, im gonna be changing my profile lol xxxxxx

hahaha im still here! not with baby! i got sent home coz theres too many ppl doing it naturally and they have too many in for induction and too many having emergency sections!! so little old me got fucked off!! TYPICAL gotta ring back at 2 pm to see if i can go in :( if not its tomorrow. if im not getting done today im just gonna shag all day long lol I am NEVER gonna get this babyxxxxx

Hey, Glad to hear you enjoying it all ot really is such a special time, they moved my date to the 20th aug , I have another Scan tomorrow so cant wait to see whate size baby is then, as for monitors we had the Tomy walkabout classic advance, over 2 years ago they were considered pretty good ones but i didnt really like them to be honest, there would still have been quite a bit of fuzzyness from them, i think we used th moniter no more than 3 times because of that as it was not a clear enough sound to hear the breathing which is what all mums worry about coz you can hear you baby cry without a monitor! so im not even sure if we will get one this time round but if i do i would recommend paying dearer for better quality sound, i have seen the ones your thinking of and they look good.. as for other advice!!! i would not waste money on a moses basket i think i crib is much better as it does them to approx 6 months of age and a crib is nice and small to still hve in your room, from my experience with family and friends childern they grow out of moses baskets in few weeks, but it all depends like you may have a big enough bedroom for a big cot we dont and i would not like to have put the baby it its own room so early, also sum people like moses baskets to kep in thier lounge during the day but i would recommend a bouncer the one i am getting does from birth to toddler as it turn into a wee seat bot my sister and brother inlaw have these and love them think thiere nothing better - Fisher-Price Newborn-to-Toddler Portable Rocker, i would have loved one of these for Ellie coz even now she loves to have her own wee seat in the lounge o sit and play etc so money would not be wasted on getting one of those chairs. I could go on forever here, but you will find your own wee nacks everyones opinion is different on bringing up baby.. you will find the way that suits you ps love the name Bailey its one on my list too lol xx If ya want to ask anythink else fire away and i will try my best to help ya xx take care xx

Oh thank you! I love my name...lol I had a hard time finding a name for my little girl that was unique and that my bf would agree to. We ended up with Eden. I Really liked Naveen But the Bf wasent haven it..GRRR!

Wow..I REALLY love all those names...Seth was my 2/3rd choice for this baby aswell....I love tristan...but hubby has a friend called that...and bailey is very cool, there was a boy in the year above me called that....my 2nd choice for this baby was Etienne...but it's too close to Evan which is my eldests name......well you have very good taste...let me know what you settle on! xx

Hi ya how are you keeping i had my scan last Monday and they though i was 24 weeks instead of 22+ but they didnt change my due date said they would let the consultant do that... So now i dont know id my dates changed or if its just a big baby........... Hope your keeping well xx

hiya!!how u?im good feelin quite tired coz i cat get comfy at nite+my cats had kittens so they squeak durin the nite!but o well!!we found out that im avin another girl!!im so glad we found out the sex this time coz we didnt last time and it was annoyin keep callin my bump "it"!! we r thinkin of callin her niamh, pronounced neeve!!but i think the speelin is confusin+i dont want people 2 call her neem!!

Hi Monique, thanks for the post....we have since found out that we are having boy number 3!!! So we won't be using your lovely name....It will prob be Reuben....I'm from up here in Scotland.....again not a common name....

hiya again Monique...how d' you like your name? if we have a girl we are gonna call her monique after my auntie in switzerland....but it is unusual in our country, so tell me what kinda nicknames you get or any interesting facts about being called monique....we love the name!!!
