About my pregnancy...
I am Marcy.... I am due October 30th, 2007. This is going to be our first born child... Although we will always remember the baby girl we miscarried July of last year. I carried her proudly until 12 weeks... she will always have a place within my husband and I's hearts. The sun came out again, when we found out on Valentine's Day that we were ready to give parenting another shot... it was very special because it was the day after our baby girl's due date, and I have never felt such a rush of emotion in my life. The first trimester was a wee difficult with morning sickness, but well worth it. At our 18 week u/s we were relieved at everything looking healthy, and we were thrilled to find out our peanut is a BOY! I am getting to the end of the 2nd trimester, and starting to truly feel the load of pregnancy.... nerves of childbirth... and the joys of being a mom.
Updates...
10.24.07... At my 39 week apt. yesterday - my cervix was not dialated yet, but I am now 90% effaced. Also, the baby is almost fully engaged. I am happy to be effaced, but wondering why I am not dialating... oh well. I have so much pressure now, and before my apt. was sure I had a bladder infection because of the pressure on my bladder. I have not been sleeping at all. I wish I could get rested for the long nights with my baby.... oh well. I am too uncomfortable. I am at the point where I am excited to meet my boy - and there is a light at the end of the tunnel bc I have to remember if I have not made any more progress - I still will be induced on Halloween (so that my doctor will be the one delivering my baby)... I want to turn off my phone and leave a message that I still have not had the baby, and I will call when I am in labor.
10.22.07... Baby running out of space, check out this picture...
10.18.07... Today was my 38 week apt. I am 70% effaced, my cervix is still closed - and he has dropped... Now I just wait I guess.... The anticipation is killing me. All I think about is meeting my boy.
38 week picture...
10.03.07... I had my 36 week appointment - everything looks good, I am not dialated yet... but my doctor is going to induce me on Halloween, if the baby is not here yet! That is exciting, but sort of ruins the excitement of not knowing when he will decide to join us!
My latest belly picture @ 36 weeks... I basically live in pj's now...
09.28.07... I have not updated in a while, but will have the time now that I am done working and w/o driving privileges until my baby is born. I had another fainting spell that landed me in L&D for 7 hours w/ contractions, then an overnights stay on the Cardiac floor for monitoring... All in all the baby is great and my heart is fine, I just need to start my days off slower with more sugars in my diet. We are getting really antsy to meet our baby! The nursery is done, the clothes are washed, we had our first baby shower that my sister and mom's 2 best friends hosted (it was sooo perfect)... The baby just seems so big now - his movements are so strong, and I cannot imagine where I am going to find space for him over the next month! I am bored at home, but I am enjoying the time away from work! Babies update: at my 35 week apt my cervix was very soft, but not dilated yet... also from now on I will get weekly stress tests at my appointments...
I am just so excited to meet our little baby...Here are some new pictures...35 weeks and the nursery...
and the baby shower...
08.22.07... I have had a rough week so far, but it is turning around now... Sunday I had flu-like symptoms all night - then Monday morn I fainted in the shower - luckily my husband was home - I was very worried, but felt my boy moving shortly after, so I knew he was just fine. We got to my OBGYN and she did blood work (my sugars were a bit low). She gave me an IV w/ fluids, and monitored my baby for over an hour - and he was doing just fine. I felt a bit cloudy still - but a lot better after the fluids. My doc told me to call if my symptoms continued. By Tuesday morn my flu symptoms worsened, so we called my doctor and she sent me to the ER. They did more blood work, gave me more fluids, and some anti-nausea meds. They did some blood pressure tests - and my BP was running a little low, along with my hemoglobin count (iron), and they also said the flu was going around... so luckily they figured out what was wrong. Now I have to be a bit more careful moving too fast in the morn, I need to take iron supplements twice a day to get my blood count back to norm, and I need to eat 6 small meals a day.... I hope I start to feel back to my old self again soon! Thankfully my little boy is just fine!
30 weeks....
